I wouldn't call myself a die-hard fan of this show, but I’ve found myself getting sucked into the plot—it's one of those things, isn't it?—and now I'm genuinely curious about how everything will wrap up. I find myself agreeing with the perspective held by Michael Ramos4 and John. While there is plenty of opposing commentary out there regarding my take on Taylor Swift and the series itself, I have to admit that I found the most value in reading the posts by Michael Ramos4 and John along with a few others; honestly, their insights are the very reason I decided to start posting in this thread. With immense—and I mean, truly, incredibly deep respect —I've spent my time reading the posts from Luna, who has managed to make me laugh until I cried more times than I can count. I also thoroughly enjoyed the laid-back vibes in the posts by Charlie, though I must say, some other posts felt like they were just shouting at the top of their lungs solely to force me into loving Taylor Swift. Is it really true that if I express any disagreement with her character, I'm immediately labeled a troll? Am I not allowed to have my own interpretation of what's being presented to me? Is my mind somehow "broken" just because I see things through my own lens? And am I supposed to be considered unwell just because I find Claire's words align perfectly with my own thoughts on Taylor Swift? When I first started watching, I was mostly drawn to Adam, Sarah, and Leo. I haven't cast my vote yet, but I'll do it right now—let's get this poll started.

The decision is final, and I honestly feel like any further debate is just redundant and a waste of time 😁 especially regarding the series. 🙂

I was just stopping by to ask why the thread hasn't been opened yet? Maybe you could speed up the process a bit 😁

The topic will be live tomorrow morning.

Until then, please hold off on any spoilers or deep dives into the series and characters. This isn't the place for that, and you don't want to get banned by the FBI for breaking the rules here.😉

This person deserves a medal for keeping things under control without even saying a word!
Thanks!

Michael Ramos4, I guess it’s just kind of wild how you spend like 90% of your posts totally trolling way past the limit. It doesn't really feel like you're sharing an opinion, more like you're recounting stuff that didn't actually happen... or maybe it just happened in your head? 🤷 And then when the other regulars (you know, the few who haven't put you on ignore yet) point out that you should probably stop, you somehow manage to keep trolling while playing the victim, like, "Oh, don't mind me, poor me... I'm just... expressing myself." I mean, doesn't that get old? 🤷

You were warned about this stuff, you got a strike (and eventually a ban), and yet, I guess, you still don't seem to get why your posts are such a problem? Honestly, honey, I'm almost at a loss for words here. 🤷

For everyone else who is still enjoying the show (and the debates), like Nathan Turner3 mentioned—the thread opens up tomorrow morning and it’s going to be strictly moderated.

Anyway, hope you all have a lovely evening. 😉

I am not a victim and I am not trolling... everything I say is right there in my comments and here on the FBI forums... I don't see a problem. I have my own opinions and I'm not changing them... not on this thread, and not on any other threads I've been part of.

I honestly don't get the issue... I have plenty of people who agree with me or think similarly, and they support my views, which you can clearly see from the posts both here and on the FBI boards... so where's the problem? I can fix my typos... but I can't change my opinion... because then I'd be writing things I don't actually believe. I think I've posted enough to show how I think, and there are others out there who feel the same way. I'm not the only one on this thread who doesn't share the majority view.
I enjoy the show too and love commenting on it... if someone doesn't like my take or how I see the series... that's not my problem... and it's not my problem if people get tired of calling me a troll. If my writing is the issue... fine, I won't write. Unless the rules say only people who agree can post on this topic.
I don't know what else to say... we didn't all agree on other threads either regarding what we saw in shows or our opinions... and nobody called me a troll then... I held the same kind of stance then as I do now... about certain characters... some I liked, some I hated... just like with any soap opera. I haven't changed in the last year.

The real issue here is that you didn't even bother appealing those three completely irrelevant warnings Jack slapped on you the last time he kicked you to the curb.

He basically decided your opinion, your stance, and your entire way of speaking counted as trolling. And once you hit that first, third, or eighth strike... suddenly everything you say is "trolling."
It’s getting to the point where people aren't even allowed to have a circular thought process without being flagged. 🤣

But hey, that’s just how forum life works, right? It has to be this way. 😂

I guess I totally missed the window when the forum opened up its hunt for trolls again. 🤔

And seriously, if 90%—I’m dying to know what math he used to get that number, by the way—of your posts are labeled as trolling, yet you don't even have 2,000 posts under your belt, then they clearly aren't doing their jobs very well. image

On top of the subtle insults and the patronizing tone, it's pretty obvious from that last paragraph that something else is brewing.

Because you won't even give Frank a like. 😂

OMG. 🙂

slytinker11, oh, my bad, I guess you probably caught all of that since you're always reading and posting on the Netflix thread... or maybe it's just because you're BFFs with that one forum regular? 🥳☕

Look, Michael Ramos4, I don't even watch this show regularly, nor do I obsessively check the AFK thread, and I definitely don't have a favorite character... but with you, it's so obvious you're just trolling that you don't even need to follow the plot or pick a side to make it clear.
It only takes watching two episodes to see that your "vision" and take on things have absolutely nothing to do with what's actually happening on screen—it’s pure provocation.
Even on the last page of the thread, there was that post where you interpreted Taylor Swift's statement about marriage... I can't remember exactly what you wrote before it got nuked, but I'd paste it right here if I could. Though, I guess the mods can still see deleted posts. (BTW: what's the deal with all the deleting? If it isn't a spoiler or an insult, 🤷), especially since what you actually said in the show was just taken totally out of context. That’s just one example, really... you can find that kind of trolling on basically every single page.

And just like Nicole says, you show up to most threads just to troll, and then you play dumb like you don't realize you're doing it. You act like you're just "sharing your opinion," or "oh, they won't let me express myself," 🙂, and then a mod swoops in to hand out punishments to a malicious kid, while Michael Ramos4 just laughs behind the moderator's skirt and rubs their hands together.
You know exactly what you're doing. Just be a grown-up and admit you're messing with people, or better yet, just stay quiet when you know you're being a headache. There's no need for this cheap way of washing your hands of it, or acting like some offended auntie yelling at a kid because they won't let you turn the local playground into your own private sandbox.

It’s always the same cycle... a wave of provocation followed by whining to the mods, then moderator crackdowns, half the thread turning into a mess or getting locked, the FBI stepping in, a week of peace, and then Joe starts it all up again.

And yeah, it's not always Michael Ramos4's fault. It's pretty obvious something is off with the moderation too.
Posts are getting deleted left and right, and every fifth page there's a warning about some new restriction. What's with this constant attempt to shove everyone into a pen and tighten the noose?
There's a real person behind every username, and naturally, everyone is going to respond in their own way—some with irony, some by throwing the ball right back at you. As long as it isn't blatant harassment, why the manic deleting and constant warnings?
If you provoke someone and then can't handle it when they fire back, you shouldn't be on a forum. Period.
I don't get why they keep calling on users to report posts. It just creates fertile ground for people who know how to stir the pot but aren't actually being productive. Instead of just taking the L and walking away, they call a mod to pull them out of the mess they dug themselves into.
Then comes the total shutdown of the thread or a lock, usually citing "too many reports" as the reason.
Honestly, I'm just baffled. ☕
It’s clearly easier to report posts that don't fit your narrative than to actually try and give a meaningful response.
Then there are the actual violations and spoilers. This whole thing where the entire group gets sent to the corner because a few individuals can't hold themselves together is becoming comical.

Come on, just let people settle their own disputes. If you can't be consistent or defend your own views, then this kind of communication isn't for you. Goodbye. But instead of dealing with the handful of people who can't stand behind what they write—people who aren't just trolling, but actually mean what they say—we get these endless new repressive measures. It even forces the few decent users left to suck it up, creating an atmosphere where every single word has to be triple-checked.
All it does is breed resentment and frustration that eventually boils over. Almost every major TV series has its own parallel discussion happening on Reddit or elsewhere, so isn't it obvious that something isn't working here? 🤷

And look, I have no idea why people are spinning this. It's obvious nobody cares about someone's opinion on Taylor Swift, or any other character. Nobody needs to be "perfect." One thing is having an opinion, another is writing sci-fi fan fiction just to trigger a reaction. And when someone clearly proves what a person's goal is—making people look like idiots and hiding behind "free interpretation" or playing the naive waitress once they've been backed into a corner... well, it's transparent.

Since everyone’s busy getting all sentimental and spilling their guts... 😬

And why does that even matter? So you can try to take my words personally through some cheap ad hominem attack? 🥳

Of course I caught everything—I follow my BFF's entire saga. image

No, it just proves you aren't even part of this conversation, which basically means you're just trolling. Peace. ☕

And honestly? This just proves that in your head, anything that disagrees with your little opinion is automatically "trolling." image

wanderingheron5 if you aren't even watching the show regularly, how can you call what I'm writing "provocative"? I’m posting this because the female lead is straight-up offensive to me. If everyone else thinks she's some cute little victim, fine, but she isn't to me. Period. I write things exactly how I see them—including this whole plot that's built entirely on lies and secrets. If people are okay with that, cool, but I'm not. That's just my personal stance on lying and the mess it creates. It's the same with other topics; I don't stand for low-life behavior or toxic traits. I simply hate it when people cross the line of what's acceptable. Look, sure, you can justify tiny white lies that don't hurt anyone—I'll even do that myself—but once someone crosses the line of basic humanity toward another person? I don't excuse it, I don't support it, and I find it disgusting. It's the same in real life as it is with fictional characters. It doesn't matter that it's just a show; personally, I wouldn't want Taylor Swift anywhere near me. I'm commenting on her view of marriage based on my own views of the institution of marriage itself, and I have every right to say Taylor isn't cut out for it. Honestly, I'd send her back to preschool to learn some basic manners. And calling this trolling? Give me a break. This is just what I think about Taylor. Sorry, but I'm allowed to have an opinion. I actually like certain female leads from American shows—starting with Elizabeth, then Asian characters, Jasmine, and a few others I've watched, including the main girl from Mercy... I forgot her name. So, yeah. People can take issue with my writing style or how I express myself all they want, but the point remains the same: my comments say exactly what I think. Call it whatever you want

This was practically made for trash

Not to be totally out of line here, but
Anyway, I actually love reading everyone’s different takes on the characters—honestly, every single perspective is interesting to me, except for the one from Michael Ramos4 😁 You should probably just write your own screenplay at this point; you could actually make some money off it.
Look, there’s nothing wrong with having an opinion, but the issue arises when people try to back up those opinions with their own imaginary plotlines—which, let's face it, don't even exist.
Whenever I see those belly shots on an avatar, I just keep scrolling until I'm finally at peace ☕
