Actually, I think people do care, just like everyone else. It’s just that nobody really dares to post a controversial caricature. I guess I wanted to ask you as a moderator, though—what happens if someone sets one as their profile picture? How does Reddit plan to handle that? Would they protect that person's freedom of speech, or would they just be asked to change the avatar? By "someone," I mean, say, myself.

The police can get involved; I am in favor of that.

I also agree that there is a specific group of users on Reddit who constantly lie, troll, and insult others. They refuse to acknowledge when they are being corrected, pretending they haven't even read what was said. To be perfectly honest, I have had quite enough of you all because of this. You have been mentally exhausting.

Furthermore, I previously reached out to Axon to ask if it were possible to trace these forum users' real identities through their Intel addresses and what legal steps could be taken. They can confirm I asked. I was told, however, that there isn't much that can be done.

Therefore, I AM in favor of police intervention!

Let the truth finally come to light!

Death to lies!

I must say, this is truly hilarious:
the third issue is the moderator Tyler Cruz32, who openly sides with the group I mentioned while simultaneously displaying blatant intolerance toward Muslims in the Religion subforum.

Nick, please write a summary regarding the bans here on Reddit.
How much longer must these distortions against me be tolerated?

Because, when one is accused of something they aren't doing, perhaps one should actually start doing it.

I believe I will take a month-long break from Religion.
I contacted the Stars today.

Here’s the latest post where some user is getting away with talking trash about me and Muhammad. They’ll probably claim it’s all under "freedom of speech," while I’m certain they’ll try to find some technicality to get me flagged—maybe claiming an image is too big or something equally ridiculous. That's what I'm talking about.

Regarding the police, let me be clear: I didn't say I was heading down to the station tonight. I was supposed to take everything over this evening, but I didn't make it. Tomorrow, though, I’m going to head over to the local Islamic community center a bit earlier to have a serious talk with them. I've already been in contact with them, and since they have people involved in politics and even on the City Council, I'm confident that if there's enough evidence, they will report this to the authorities. The police might not be able to unmask everyone behind these racist posts, but one thing is certain: they can shut down any platform that spreads racial and interfaith hatred. Don't kid yourselves into thinking you're running some untouchable site that exists outside of American law. If there's sufficient evidence, a court expert could easily request a temporary injunction to shut things down. I don't know exactly how it will play out, I'm just laying out the possibilities.

We'll see how Tyler Cruz32 and Nicole James respond, and we'll see exactly how things unfold on the Religion subforum firsthand.

Seeing a post like the one you shared is truly distasteful. If such actions go unpunished, it is genuinely lamentable.
No, I would advise you not to let this get to you, and do not announce your intentions publicly. Do not mention the police. Whatever steps you choose to take, do them privately. That is the most effective way. Do not report the posts.Believe me, that is how you will cause the most impact. Tell others who share your perspective as well.

It’s good to know 😁 Because this one user on Reddit—God is Great—is currently without an avatar; they stripped it away because apparently, it was offensive to Islam. I guess the policy here on Reddit regarding that specific caricature seems a bit ad hoc. Over in the Administration Questions thread, someone filed a complaint about it once, and then boom, the avatar was gone. I don't think anyone has explicitly stated if that cartoon is officially banned on this site now, or at least, I haven't seen a notice like that myself. I just want to know if I'm allowed to use it; I'm not saying I actually will. I really don't want to offend anyone or cause unnecessary drama. But, if these attempts to impose a certain worldview continue—through these senseless accusations of discrimination or even threats involving the police—and I happen to run into that, well, I might just have a little image ready to go, resized and everything. There you go, those are the threats, Justin Harris12. Go ahead, sue me. 🙄

Which caricature are we discussing? Is it the one featuring the bomb?

Yeah, I think it was the one with the bomb in the turban, which honestly was pretty funny 😁... I don't really get why people can't just laugh at themselves for once! I mean, if Muslims don't want to draw them because of their religious beliefs, that's totally fine, but we certainly can.

If you are acting as a moderator, shouldn't you at least be able to follow a timeline? He is NOT a troll. It is quite clear he posted at 9:52 PM, yet he received a strike for a post made at 9:56 PM.

It is a non-issue. Does anyone truly have the right to post an image of Jesus, label him Jesus, and then write "son of a whore" underneath? Would that offend you? Would it offend anyone if someone wrote praises for Hitler or displayed a swastika? I am simply questioning the boundaries of free speech. Is this freedom of expression reserved exclusively for discussions regarding Muslims and Islam, or is it a universal principle?

So, I got banned just for you. Does that not sit right with you either? Because by your logic, I should’ve been flagged for my comments on Muhammad too. Honestly, I couldn't care less what he was about; having my own opinion on a guy who supposedly had sex with a six or nine-year-old girl is my god-given right.

The fact that it bothers you personally that people today call those types of actions pedophilia? I don't give a damn.☕

Oh, and go ahead, call the cops on me.☕

It’s not a troll. If you actually look at the screenshot, the post wasn't flagged when I originally submitted it; it was done after I posted this. Do you want me to upload the image again? Also, before I even attached the picture here, I already reported the post using the flag icon, which means I did my part, added the evidence, and still nothing happened until after my reply.

All the other posts haven't been flagged, probably because I didn't attach a screenshot right away, but there are dozens of similar posts from tonight. Should I just dump all of them here so you can flag those too? Am I really expected to jump through all these hoops and report everything to the mods just so you'll finally take action?

You aren't "punished" because of me; I never forced my words down your throat or tried to provoke you, you just decided to write that yourself. Truth is, I never even addressed you directly.🤷

Mocking Jesus is one thing, mocking Hitler is another, and praising Hitler definitely isn't... I know, it's complicated and there are a ton of nuances, but take my word for it: not praising Hitler—I say that because there was already some confusion about it in the Muslim world. People thought it was an okay way to "get back" at that caricature with the bomb in the turban. Going back to Jesus, sure, feel free to mock him; someone might get offended, but Christians know how to handle it, they'll survive, and thank God, the satirists will too. And yeah, it really should be humor, you know? Not just low-brow insults. For instance, I find this funny, but even with your example, if that's the best you can do, nobody's going to lose their head over it. Just watch some Monty Python and see how it works—humor & all that shit.

Does anyone actually care what someone thinks about Muhammad? That isn't the point here. The real question is whether this rule applies to everything else, or if it specifically targets Muslims and Islam. Does anyone truly have the right to hold an opinion on Hitler that no decent human being would ever agree with?

Don't even get me started. I don't view this as mere mockery; I view it as an insult. If you find someone wearing a turban sympathetic, that’s your prerogative, but to me, that imagery is synonymous with terrorism. There are no gray areas here. Matters are quite binary: will we allow "freedom of speech" to cover every possible subject, or will we finally hold people accountable for outright insults?

The pressure being put on the moderators over on the Religion subreddits lately has been intense, and honestly, it’s being directed at some really decent people who don't act entitled at all.
I actually stumbled onto the Religion community by accident, but I stayed because the vibe was great—until now.
I feel bad about starting that "serieses and non-Muslims" thread; I have zero intention of discussing anything related to Islam ever again, and I’d suggest everyone else does the same, especially since people are now threatening each other with police involvement (if someone had told me that was happening, I wouldn't have believed them).

Well, if you haven't noticed, we actually have freedom of speech on all topics here. I mean, where else would you be posting from?
Freedom exists, and I plan on using it. By the way, I don't think you're doing Islam any favors by trying to pivot toward Hitler and Nazism—which, honestly, seems to be exactly what you're gearing up to do. So, I think I'll just end this conversation right here.

I know you will end the discussion because your arguments lack substance. To you, insulting Islam, Muslims, and Muhammad is perfectly acceptable under the guise of "freedom of speech," yet you seem to find freedom of speech regarding other matters unacceptable.

And for what it's worth, I am writing from the United States if that is so vital to you. You are welcome to check with the administrators to verify that I am telling the truth.
