Based on everything we heard on the broadcast, Hamilton clearly has the No1 driver status way more than Vettel does...
So when he starts singing about how he doesn't want it or didn't ask for it, save it. For Ross, Hamilton is No1, and at the end of the day, that's the only thing that matters.

You missed a tiny detail. I said FORMALLY.

Nico is number 9, Lewis is number 10.
Rosberg has two wins this season, too. Pretty interesting.

It’s honestly amazing how Ross Brawn has rearranged things again. 🙏
A very fast German in a very fast German Mercedes. And the fastest Briton, who also happens to be the favorite and...
Pure magic. The guy’s got a nose for this, I'll give him that. Marketing, business, the whole thing...

And hey, "formally," Mark Webber was the No1 driver at Red Bull Racing too.😍 (2009 season - Webber 14, Sebastian Vettel 15)😁
Of course, in that exact same Red Bull Racing car, Webber had done basically nothing before that season (just one podium...) even though he'd driven two full seasons for RB... an RB designed by Adrian Newey...
Then 2009 rolls around, Sebastian Vettel shows up, and suddenly, miraculously, the car starts competing for wins, and along with it, Webber starts looking like a top-tier driver...

All in all, he wouldn't have been anything special or stood out at all if he didn't have Vettel. But then again, he hasn't stopped whining about this and that constantly—definitely one of the biggest "formal" No2 whiners in recent Formula 1 history...

And I can kind of see the same fate waiting for the current formal No1 and the future formal No2, Nico Rosberg...
I mean, sure, Rosberg has some podiums and even a win in the Mercedes-Benz before Lewis Hamilton arrived... he definitely looks way better than Webber did leading up to 2009... but still, almost nothing since the start of this season, and I seriously doubt he has any chance of being anything other than Hamilton's No2 driver...

Cut the crap. Where were Button and Barrichello back in 2008? Or even 2009?
It was the exact same drivers and basically the same crew on the pit wall.
In '08 they were absolute bottom-feeders, then suddenly in '09 they’re pulling off back-to-back championships.
The truth is, those rule changes just handed them everything on a silver platter. Who knows, maybe with the next set of regulations Williams will magically climb to the top while RB slides right down the standings.
