The directing duo behind this one is Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley—the same guys who delivered that genuinely fun comedy Game Night back in 2018. As for the cast? It’s absolutely stacked with talent—we're talking Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Hugh Grant, Regé-Jean Page, and plenty more.

I wouldn't say it's a masterpiece, but it could actually be a blast. Based on the trailer, it definitely looks like an upgrade over the last Dungeons & Dragons movie we saw in theaters.

It’s true that trailers can be a bit of a flawed tool. So, like most people, I guess I never make any kind of final decision based solely on them.
I guess, aside from the bigger budget and a few recognizable names, I’m getting a vibe here that doesn't differ much from that top-tier masterpiece back in 2000. Maybe it's just me.

I guess I should probably say something here. Maybe. WarcraftMaybe yes, maybe no. I guess. Maybe Seventh Son wasn't exactly a masterpiece. I guess it was just okay.Maybe either. I guess. Eragon...or any other from the bunch. Fantasy is an interesting genre, I suppose. It’s certainly ambitious. The sheer amount of mediocrity that has flooded the American film market over the last two decades is, I guess, somewhat staggering. It’s been a relentless onslaught. 🤷

On the other hand, I also dealt with quite a few assholes, I guess. It feels like self-parody at this point. I guess. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. I guess it might actually be worth watching. I suppose we should get started. Maybe.Well, I suppose this might work.
If things head in that direction—which I suspect they might—then I guess we'll see. 😁I suppose there might eventually be a way to make it work, maybe. bluebison8 He says it's quite amusing, I suppose.

This is going to be terrible. They're trying way too hard to be funny with such silly jokes, which makes me wonder how the rest of the movie will turn out.

The second I saw the cast list, I knew I was skipping this one. Honestly, I can't decide who’s more grating—though my money is on that amateur from Bridgerton they seem hell-bent on shoving down everyone's throats lately. The trailer didn't do much for me either; it just looks dull and relies way too hard on forced "bits." As for the visual effects, they aren't exactly breathtaking, but they aren't a total disaster either—just okay.

I can already see yet another one in a long line of garbage adaptations

I might check this out. Based on what I saw in the trailer, it reminds me of about 90% of the campaigns I've run over my nearly 20 years playing Dungeons & Dragons. It seems to have a bit of self-parody, some jokes, plenty of action, decent effects, and all those classic clichés. I also noticed they included quite a few iconic monsters (like the mimic, gelatinous cube, owlbear, and chromatic and metallic dragons).

I guess it has potential to be an enjoyable movie.

I watched the original Dungeons & Dragons from 2000. If my memory serves me right, wasn't it actually a fun movie?

Which absolute idiot thought it was a brilliant idea to translate the title as Honor Among Thieves?
They honestly deserve to be hit with a heavy blunt object for that one.

It was quite enjoyable. I saw it last weekend with my wife and our 11-year-old, and we all walked out happy; there was even some spontaneous applause at my showing.
I was pleasantly surprised, as it features some truly hilarious moments.

Caught this last night. It’s an entertaining enough watch, certainly interesting. The cinematography is stunning and the soundtrack really hits the mark.
The younger cast members, Justice Smith and Sophia Lillis, were surprisingly good.

It’s decent enough. It's fun, though some parts drag while others land well. Honestly, the little girl playing Chris Pine's daughter was getting on my nerves the whole time, and her role in Bridgerton wasn't exactly a standout either.

The little druid was the highlight for me. Hugh Grant is also quite good; he seems to have a knack for playing villains.

There are a few Dungeons & Dragons inaccuracies you just have to ignore—like asking the wizard for healing while the druid is standing right there... but other than that, it's fine. I'm not sure if it's worth a trip to the theater, though. You won't miss much by waiting to watch it on a small screen.

Just walked out of the theater, and honestly? It was a blast. You don't even need to be a die-hard Dungeons & Dragons fan to follow the plot and enjoy the ride. As long as you're a fan of fun fantasy flicks, you're set.

Honestly, this was a blast. Chris Pine—playing Kirk here—really nails the role, and while Michelle Rodriguez is fine, she basically plays the exact same character in every single movie she’s in. Hugh Grant is still holding his own, and even that guy from Bridgerton isn't half bad.

It was a pleasant surprise, really—quite an entertaining ride with some genuinely charming characters. I found myself laughing out loud a few times, especially during that graveyard scene where he’s chatting up the dead, which was brilliantly executed, and I suppose that final bit with the bird was pretty great too..
