Jesus. It was door-to-door racing and Max just shoved him out of the way. He did the exact same thing to Leclerc, who would've had him if he hadn't intervened.

From what I can gather by looking at the telemetry data, it appears Charles Leclerc was positioned right on the approach to the hangar at the exact moment the SC was deployed, which means they absolutely botched his strategy here, didn't they? My sincerest congratulations to Carlos Sainz on securing his first victory, and a well-deserved nod to Lewis Hamilton as well for such a stellar performance. It truly was a magnificent race; wouldn't it be wonderful if we could see more spectacles of this caliber?

Has anyone ever seen someone jump from 4th up to 2nd in just three turns, only to get slammed back down to 4th immediately? 😂

and btw—if the race had gone maybe another 5 laps, I guess Charles Leclerc would've overtaken everyone (except Carlos Sainz)—those soft tires were starting to fall apart

I’m honestly stunned Ferrari actually pulled this off—not that they would have stood a chance if they'd actually listened to Sainz.

Ferrari isn't going to see another championship anytime soon, not as long as this level of incompetence is occupying seats on the pit wall. Honestly, until they bring in some heavy hitters—someone along the lines of a new Jean Todt or Ross Brawn—can we even expect anything more than mediocrity?
