British GP (Silverstone) | July 1–3, 2022

My take on today? Everyone was elbowing each other out there, but nobody actually got penalized for it—that's just how I see it.
So, it was fair and square.
We finally got some real racing for once.

I don't get why everyone is whining and making such a big deal out of it.
The race is over, plain and simple.
And honestly, everyone got exactly what they deserved.

That race was definitely one for the books—now Zhou and Vettel are sharing a birthday, too. Honestly, Ferrari is such a weird outfit, you can never tell who’s actually running the show or even who's footing the bill.

I’m genuinely happy for Carlos Sainz Jr... Despite the constant criticism and being constantly undermined, he showed a certain level of class today. He isn't the GOAT or a perennial championship contender, but he is certainly an incredibly talented driver—that much is undeniable.

I find it baffling why they didn't call Charles Leclerc in for a pit stop. It was painfully obvious that those cars on soft tires were going to eat him alive... 🤷

Since I watch Formula 1 on Comcast, I have to admit that having Louie at the top of the broadcast wasn't such a bad thing. The sheer amount of disrespect directed toward him by the commentators has simply become excessive...

Two laps at Indianapolis Motor Speedway carry far more weight than three entire races held in Miami or Saudi Arabia. ☕

Charles Leclerc has snatched up three pure wins now, but honestly, it’s almost hard to believe how much bad luck he keeps running into...

I mean, once Carlos Sainz Jr. got that team order, he could have at least tried to hold Lewis Hamilton back for two or three laps before giving in, right? Maybe if he’d just played it a bit more strategically, things might have gone differently.

It’s just a total tragedy called Ferrari. 🤦

What an absolute disaster of a team. Honestly, they need to send someone like Jakobušić over there to get them organized—sort of like how a top-tier coach would step in to fix a struggling franchise...

Honestly, that was one of the better races we've seen in a while. There was a little bit of everything.

At one point, I actually thought Lewis Hamilton might be fighting for the win right until the final corner.
I agree with the sentiment that he should've gone for one more stint on mediums. He was flying out there; that car had the best race pace on the track.

Kudos to Carlos Sainz Jr., too. Glad to see him finally grab a win. It felt like every other driver on the grid was taking trophies lately, so it was about time for him.

That said, Ferrari was playing some serious games with risk. They got lucky they walked away with at least a victory.
On the flip side, Max Verstappen finished 7th, so this should have been the perfect chance for Charles Leclerc to close that gap between them.
Instead, we saw all that potential wasted with Max's car issues, and Charles Leclerc ended up just finishing 4th.
Sainz will enjoy his celebration, but Ferrari is staring down some massive headaches right now.

To make matters even more absurd, they almost act as though they're apologetic that Sainz actually took the win; the man himself looks genuinely miserable while celebrating, which is just pathetic to witness.

Zhou was definitely the winner of the day; they portrayed him as being completely unstoppable after that crash 🙏

Ferrari got lucky because Max Verstappen hit something and damaged his car, otherwise he probably would have cruised to victory... the pit wall crew honestly looked like they just didn't care at all.

The master plan was to have Carlos Sainz Jr. hold up the line behind him, since Charles Leclerc mentioned they thought the soft tires would only have an advantage for the first two laps 🤣🤣

Whoever is handling their calculations and running those simulations really needs to be fired immediately 🙏 I mean, Charles is driving a damaged car, 15 laps deep on tires that are already old, plus two sets of hard compounds, and they actually calculate that the cars behind will only have an advantage for the first two laps? 😂

Lol, seriously? Charles Leclerc spun off the track, which is why Carlos Sainz Jr. ended up in the lead. What speed was he supposed to drop down to at 31 miles/h just to let Charles Leclerc take first place back?
