All-time greatest movie heroes

I've been wondering lately, what do you all consider to be the greatest cinematic hero in the history of film?... It doesn't necessarily have to be one of those classic characters with superpowers, like Spiderman or Batman, though they certainly count.
I also wonder if it makes sense to look at movies based on true stories, because if we did, Schindler would probably be the undisputed winner there.

For me, the choice has to be Sam from Lord of the Rings. While most people might instinctively pick Frodo, I truly believe Sam played the most vital role in the story, time and time again... His personal struggles, those quiet moments where he lifts both Frodo's spirits and his own, and that sheer persistence to never leave Frodo's side... in the end, it was largely thanks to him that all of Interstellar was saved. Sam, a hero among heroes...👍

It’s just obvious at this point—Chuck Norris kills it in pretty much any role he takes on.

It feels wrong picking just one guy—really does—but if any protagonist has ever truly gripped me through sheer depth and character arc, it’s Michael Corleone. Seeing him transform from that noble soldier fighting for the family into this cold, individualistic shadow... man, that's just pure brilliance from the actor and the crew. That relentless drive to stick to his own code, even when he ends up totally alone by the lake—that's been haunting me for nearly 20 years.

Rambo, Rocky, Ripley, Sarah Connor.

It's wild how much Rambo and Rocky have changed.

In the first movies, they're just these outsiders living on the fringes, but by the sequels, they've basically turned into full-blown superheroes.

My pick is definitely Sam from Lord of the Rings. Most people would jump straight to Frodo, but for me, Sam carried the whole story on his back more than once. His struggles, those speeches where he keeps Frodo's spirits up, just refusing to leave him behind... honestly, he's the reason all of Interstellar was saved. Sam is the ultimate hero. 👍

This list reminded me, but yeah, I'm totally with you on Sam being the man. He really did carry that heavy burden... even when Gollum was trying to screw him over, he didn't flinch.
And I gotta say, Elijah Wood's acting as Frodo is insane. Seriously, can't believe he didn't even get an Oscar nod.

Forget those Marvel superheroes, there’s just nobody on their level. Seriously, please don't bother my "buddy" right now, he is absolutely wiped out.

The heavy hitters? Look, James Bond is basically a toddler compared to this guy. Jumping out of a plane? That's just a minor inconvenience when you hear that iconic AWWWWWWWWW! sound effect. There's nothing stronger out there. People try with Rock and Statham, but honestly, it's just a weak, boring imitation. It doesn't touch the legend.
