Care to elaborate? What exactly makes it so "brain-dead"?

Alex Barnes93 said:My apologies, you're right. I actually enjoyed your little imaginary math game with those numbers above. 👍

The race where Lewis fell asleep at the start, only for you to break your wing before even exiting the second turn—just so you could blame that wing for killing your pace? Which was supposedly 0.6s faster than Max’s? Yeah, right. Math doesn't work like that, does it?

So, that's how it goes?
Regarding your constant whining about that 13-second gap? You're wrong. Just my imagination, doubling those numbers above.?

Just my imagination, doubling those numbers up there. This is just a word-for-word transcription of what Andrew Shovlin said.

So, let's see who this Andrew Shovlin guy actually is...
I’ve been serving as the trackside engineering director at the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team since 2011.
I served as a race engineer for the BAR/Honda/Brawn era, working directly alongside Jenson Button.
Served as a race engineer for Mercedes, working directly alongside Michael Schumacher.
Holds a PhD in Vehicle Dynamics and Control.

Sure, let them act like that. 🙂

So, because you're rambling about a 13-second gap, it's somehow my fault for "imagining I'm doubling numbers from above"?

That "imagining I'm doubling numbers from above" bit is literally, word for word, just quoting Andrew Shovlin.

Well, let's see who this Andrew Shovlin guy actually is...

Yeah, right, whatever you say. 🙂

Lol 🤣 Yeah, totally imaginary, since he was only talking about the FIRST TWO LAPS of the race (because that part fell off by lap three) where Max pulled a 5-second lead, yet you somehow concluded that Mercedes—oops, sorry, I mean Lewis, since you corrected our friend up there—was faster than Max by 0.6s per lap. Five seconds is still way more than 0.6 or even 1.2s, man.

Anyway, let's check out what Andrew Shovlin actually said...

When asked how much performance they lost due to the damage at the Tamburello chicane, Shovlin said: “Initially it was quite large.

“The reason for that was because the footplate of the front wing hadn’t come away completely. It was actually held on by the pressure tappings we use to measure the aero performance of those parts. And while this was flapping around, it was causing a big loss, so around six tenths of a second that was affecting him in the opening laps.

“Eventually that bit of the front wing fell off completely and that was actually quite good for Lewis, it halved the loss.

“So what we were seeing later on was something like two to three tenths
, but that affected him through the whole of that intermediate [tyre] stint and in the early part of the stint on medium tyres.

I’d wrap up my analysis of the Indianapolis race with Hamilton's post-race comments.

First, a true gentleman.
Sincere congratulations to Max, and he isn't hiding his satisfaction with seeing his former team finish so high up.
Second, that genuine boyish grin. It's been a while since I've seen him look this happy and content.
To top it off, he smiles and says he actually had fun battling the guys on track toward the end.

How much did you enjoy charge back through the field?
SLH: Oh, I loved it! Honestly thats how my actually career started when I was younger ... as a kid, we had a really dodgy old go-kart so I was always starting at the back... so it took me back to my roots...

It’s obvious how much he missed this kind of pure racing—just direct, head-to-head combat on the circuit.
As for those retirement rumors, or claims that he's satisfied with everything he's already achieved... no chance.
He's still hungry for wins, and these last two races this season have only fueled that fire.
And he definitely intends to further solidify his F1 GOAT status.
Much to the delight of all Formula 1 fans.

He’s basically driving like he’s headed straight for Osmas—if he drops even one more tenth, Prvašić is gonna be hopping mad

Just let him be.

Ugh, you totally wrecked me with those "arguments" of yours 😁 All five of them... classic. Honestly, you could probably take your own advice regarding that quote, or maybe just pick up a few English words? If you somehow manage to clear that hurdle, then maybe try actually listening to what Shovlin is saying instead of whatever hallucinations you've got going on. I know, I know, using Google Translate for speaking is way harder than just typing it out, but give it a shot—you might be surprised. 👍

Just leave him alone.

ruggedhawk20 said:Give me some details here. What exactly constitutes this "retardation"?

The guy who made this video doesn't have a clue about climate change—patterns, cycles, which activities actually drive pollution—and then he uses that massive gap in his knowledge to launch this intellectually dishonest critique. He’s basically saying, "if you own a car, you can't advocate for a green economy," which is total bullshit and honestly sounds like something a three-year-old would say. You know what does more damage to the economy? People mining Bitcoin using power from non-renewable sources. That’s way worse than 100 global corporations being responsible for 71% of world pollution . Global warming is accelerating way faster because we're clearing forests for meat production—not to mention the insane water consumption—than it is because of individual transport, which accounts for maybe 2% of total pollution. Basically, it's just another brain-dead video that ignores facts and logic entirely. The creator is clearly just jealous of other people's success and thinks being edgy makes him look cool, but he really just looks like a complete idiot. Just a straight-up idiot.

Fighting!? Seriously?
With a car that's a whole second faster—bravo!

Can you actually prove that one-second advantage Mercedes supposedly has?

Because from where we're sitting, we saw Mercedes dragging through the midfield and struggling just to hold onto P9.

If they really had a second per lap, shouldn't they be fighting at the top of the grid—regardless of how much the driver is messing it up!?

I figured you were a bit sharper than this—you know, actually having an original thought instead of just parroting whatever the MSM pumps out under the direction of Buffett, Bezos, Soros, and Gates.

As you've been told multiple times—most recently by our friend ruggedhawk20—your constant obsession with this "one second faster car" theory just fails basic logic when you look at the actual facts.

Shouldn't a car that's a full second faster be sitting at the front, regardless of how much the driver is messing it up!?

https://www.formula1.com/en/results....test-laps.html

Sure, anything is possible, but saying someone can pull nearly a full second faster lap than everyone else without even being on significantly fresher tires? Yeah, I'm not buying it...
Regardless of all the noise and Wolff's whining about how Red Bull is the fastest car or how "poor" they have it.
Mercedes is, without any doubt, the fastest car on the grid...

Look, sure, they aren't hyper-dominant like in previous seasons where they could cruise in "save mode" with a second or two gap to the next guy—and God knows what happens when they crank up party mode—but they're still the best car.
Unless they fail to win the championship by three or four races before the season ends, this thing is an absolute beast...

Jason Campbell70 said:Look, I’ve told you this more times than I can count, but honestly, even what ruggedhawk20 said last time stands: this whole obsession you have with that "one second faster car" theory just doesn't hold water. It totally ignores basic logic and the actual facts staring us right in the face. Seriously, man, you gotta look at the data!

🤣

So, this guy is out here claiming Mercedes and Lewis aren't even a full second faster than Alpine, Aston Martin, or AlphaTauri... which is hilarious coming from someone who was literally just posting a second ago about how Lewis is 0.6 seconds quicker than Red Bull and Max! Like, seriously? He’s actually trying to "correct" people just to prove his own point. Talk about a total head trip. 🤣

Jason Campbell70 said:
So, check this out—if Lewis was dragging around some kind of damage that cost him like 0.6 seconds a lap, yet he was still somehow hanging right on Max's tail, you’ve gotta do the math, right? It basically means Lewis actually had the edge over Red Bull when it comes to raw race pace by at least that same 0.6 margin! It's wild when you think about it.

Hey, I went ahead and fixed your entry! 🙂

🤣

Honestly, it’s no surprise this PDF is basically a graveyard for what used to be this forum...

Look, if I wasn't having fun or if the sheer level of delusion didn't catch my eye, I wouldn't even be hanging out here, obviously. But man, seeing how some of these guys would absolutely get roasted over on r/formula1? That's what keeps me coming back! It’s honestly fascinating. They’d probably all think it was just some massive downvote farming campaign rather than actual truth-telling.😁
