Album of the week

@Jessica Morris6 what even are these albums doing here?

These are all the suggestions from the forum members for the Album of the Week.

Think of it as a vetted guide—get ready to meet the dark side of the music industry.

I honestly have no clue what you're talking about... Amanda Robinson4 and I are really the only ones here making any sense with our suggestions. As for some of those other bands, I've never even heard of them, let alone a single song...

quietbison86, looks like you aren't following along 😁 so why don't you throw one out there? we're wide open here... the floor is yours until the end of the day!

Man, Nightclubbing... 😍
Grace Jones really hits the spot tonight.

But honestly, Jon Hassell is such a massive discovery.
🙏

Anyway... lately, we’ve been getting pretty predictable, haven't we? I guess I miss finding those artists and producers who were totally new to me. That used to happen way more often back when Mr. Baribb was involved in the discussions.

Over the last few weeks, it’s mostly just been a string of super famous albums, but today feels a bit more diverse, I suppose—at least more than usual...

Honestly didn't even notice... unless someone took it way too personally? 😁

We’ve already seen an example here of a super quiet, low-key album of the week triggering a massive ego trip from people. Maybe Hassell's record has that same effect? 😁

🤣

I guess it’s pretty obvious some people are suggesting new albums, even though they're supposed to be posting threads for the older ones. ☕

Album

Just to weigh in on this suggestion 🙏 🙏

Personally much prefer I Don't Like Shit and i don't go Outside—though his entire discography is top-tier, ranging from early stuff like this 2010 release to those more abstract projects he’s dropping lately. 👍

Honestly, that one burst of internal rhyme alone is enough to put this album in the technical rap hall of fame—that's why it matters, not even because of the lyrics, as shocking as they might be (not that anything can really shock you after listening to Ellis or Marquis de Sade):

Go on, suck it up; but hurry, i Got nuts to bust and butts to fuck and ups to shut and sluts to fuckin
And butts to fuck and ups to shut and sluts to fuckin' uppercut
It's o. F., buttercup, go ahead, fuck with us
Without a doubt, a sure-fire way to get your mother fucked
Ask her for a couple bucks, shove a trumpet up her butt
Play a song, invade her thong
My dick is having guts for lunch, as well as supper
Then I'll rummage through Her ruptured cunt Found The mustard Fucking nosey neighbors notica something's up
Found The mustard
Fucking nosey neighbors notica something's up
"What you doing?" – nothing much
Would shout some other stuff
Got to fucking bounce, guess the bouncer's had enough of us

I don't see anyone suggesting new albums—they should be dropping topics for the old ones instead. ☕

Man, man, I gotta wrap up some business first, but tonight is definitely gonna be a Walking Heatsa thread. Though, honestly, I might just stop suggesting anything if Sinan doesn't take the win.

Dennis Hall41 said:Man, man, I really need to wrap up the work I've started, but damn, tonight is definitely going to be a big night for Walking Heatsa... though I'm honestly considering just staying silent and not suggesting anything else if Sinan doesn't pull off the win.

Sinan was a class act compared to all those other sheep. Those guys don't even have enough cash to get a haircut, so they just wander around looking like dead Metallicas, whereas he always showed up sharp—tie, pressed trousers, and probably had a few hundred bucks tucked away for a night out...
