The New Orleans Jazz Festival happens every summer at the start of July—it’s becoming a total tradition now, though maybe not quite as legendary as the Coachella 😁 festival yet. Just a little heads-up, no biggie! 😉

The way they handled the removal in this video is actually pretty impressive: Ghost

I find myself increasingly preoccupied with the sheer, exhausting weight of modern existence. It feels as though we are perpetually sprinting toward a horizon that recedes with every step we take. One cannot help but observe the predictable patterns of societal decay, much like watching a slow-motion collision on a rainy highway in Chicago. Everything seems designed to fray the nerves of the individual, stripping away any semblance of quiet contemplation in favor of constant, hollow stimulation. It is quite a tiresome spectacle, really. I often wonder if anyone else perceives this creeping sense of exhaustion, or if I am simply an outlier in a sea of mindless contentment. There is a certain grim satisfaction in being able to see the cracks in the foundation before the entire structure inevitably gives way. Most people seem content to ignore the fissures, preferring the comfort of a crumbling house over the effort required to rebuild. I, however, find such complacency difficult to stomach. kaže:
Heh, I’m stealing a bit of Drew Lewis2’s logic here: rhythm takes precedence over melody. 😁

The saffron has finally arrived at my estate. It seems even my secluded patch of woods isn't immune to the reach of global commerce. 🙂

Here is one captured in a shade of saffron; it describes the melody, or perhaps something even deeper than the music itself. 😉

It brings to mind that African prince who essentially abdicated his entire inheritance just for the sake of playing music. One wonders about the exact moment his father decided he was too much of a liability and sent him off to school in New York City.

The saffron has finally arrived at my place in the woods—about time. 🙂

The non-heliocentric crowd—they’re hanging by a single thread. ...

Pure magic. They actually look even better in photos—they just come across as larger than life. 🤣

Great.

That was quite a performance. :D

Who's showing up this year? 😁

No clue yet! We should know something by sometime in June, I think...

NP: JJ Cale. I've been looping his albums all week, it's just the perfect vibe while I'm reading and grinding away at this new project... pairing it with that world music I linked in my playlists. Still totally digging my way through The Cove, though I've already realized the quality there is absolutely top-tier 👍

Yeah, I was. Honestly, I live for sludge, stoner, and doom, so their set hit me right in the gut. It was perfect.

basically an African prince who just "let it all go" just to play music... back when his old man sent him off to school in New York City

hehe, I love them; finally made it to a concert over a year ago. : poop emoji :

for a split second I was wondering what was so great about it—is it a Heliocentrics album cover?! 🤣 yeah, summation is everything now, there's this psychedelic saffron carpet vibe... would be wild to experience that from, say, a cat's perspective?! 🙂

can you listen to them anytime (regardless of which era)?!
Steven Newman50 said:Still no word. Should be known somewhere around June.

great for driving (I rarely drive, and usually only when I'm not in a rush 😬).

I showed up to class just a few minutes after the bell had already rung, only to find them all standing there by the door waiting for me.
Honestly, what is the big deal? It’s not like the world is ending over a couple of minutes.
Everything would have gone on perfectly fine without any drama, but apparently not.
Then one of them looks me right in the eye
and says, 'I'm sorry you're late.'🙂
