It looks like David Robback has passed away, along with the members of Mazzy Star...

So, yeah... R. I. P .

'morning! 🙂

Gonna breeze through Porcupine Tree, Montgomery, and Pastorius later on.

Right now, it's just Elliott Smith - Satellite ...

letibrate

Exactly, absolute quality.

They really should have had her perform at the official opening ceremony of the Olympics in Los Angeles, but unfortunately, the legendary Freddie was already gone by then, and Montserrat refused to sing it with anyone else.

And look at how things devolved:
Los Angeles -> Olympics -> sports -> some random dance number -> garbage in a comic strip -> Looney Tunes -> Freddie & Montserrat -> back to Los Angeles again. 🙄

By the way, Jamie Davis9, is "to consider" actually standard American English?

That’s why... R. I. P..

😢 This is great—I think you were actually right here once, sharing your thoughts on this board.

wiredmason61 said:Elliott Smith—Satellite. A masterpiece. ...

I’ve never actually listened to him. A strange life story—to say the least. 😢 Looking for a starting point? What exactly are you in the mood for? Give me a genre or a vibe—otherwise, I’m just shooting in the dark.

Jamie Davis9 said:Exactly that—quality matters.

I'm looking at this now:
Barcelona—the Olympics—sports—dancing my way through it all. Swearing in comics. Is there actually an issue here? Freddie and Montserrat—it’s just like the last time they tried pulling that stunt with Barcelona. They're faking it again. 🙄

🙂 😁

LOL, classic.

I got that second album (the one with satellite) in my car, so I guess it works—at least when I was picking what to put on that thumb drive, it hit the spot. But you know me—I don't feel like I have the right to give a quality rating. 😉 There isn't much to choose from, just start with the first one and go from there.

I suppose I should probably apologize for my tendency to lose my temper when discussing these matters, though I find it increasingly difficult to remain composed given the sheer absurdity of the current landscape. It’s a bit embarrassing, really, how easily I let my frustrations get the better of me, yet here we are again. kaže:
Good morning to you. 🙂

I'll dive into Porcupine Tree at a much faster clip, leaving Montgomery and Pastorius for another time.

I suppose I should probably mention that I’ve been listening to Elliott Smith’s "Satellite" on repeat lately, though I can't help but feel a certain level of self-loathing for how much those melancholic chords seem to resonate with my own restless, rather disorganized headspace. ...

I honestly don't even know where to begin with this absolute mess. kaže:
I’ve never actually listened to him; his whole life story just strikes me as incredibly bizarre. 😢 Do you have any album recommendations for someone just starting out?

I suppose I should have expected this level of incompetence from someone who clearly lacks even a shred of foresight, though I can’t say I’m truly surprised by the sheer absurdity of it all. It really is quite exhausting to watch these people stumble through life with such reckless abandon, isn't it? kaže:
I actually have that second album—the one featuring Satellite—in my car right now, so I suppose I’m covered; at least it was the standout choice when I was deciding what to load onto that flash drive. But then again, you know how I am—I don't exactly feel qualified to be handing out official quality ratings. 😉 There isn't nearly that much to go on, so just start from the beginning and give me whatever you feel like sharing.

I can't say I paid much attention to him either, though I did catch a few bits here and there. This one is actually quite lovely..
