When is this movie actually hitting theaters here in the States?

Just finished watching it.

This is a total must-watch for anyone who has spent any time diving into Tolkien's body of work.

I found the film to be quite high quality; the acting felt brilliant, and I thought the battle sequences were executed exceptionally well. In my opinion, it manages to explain Tolkien's underlying inspirations and the motives behind his world-building in a way that is both beautiful and remarkably straightforward.

I suspect LOTR fans will really find a lot to enjoy in this one.

It feels like the director basically took "fellowship" and friendship as the entire roadmap for interpreting Tolkien and his work—that’s pretty much the whole movie right there.
Tolkien comes across as this absolute saint; he isn't complaining about anything or playing games with Catholic guilt—just a genuinely good man.
Everything is polished up nicely, and honestly, aside from the fact that they skipped over his actual biography, I don't have much to complain about. 😁

I suppose I agree that a massive chunk of Tolkien's life story is just completely ignored, so I wouldn't really classify this film as a true biography either; instead, it seems to focus strictly on the underlying motivations that drove Tolkien to create his version of the interstate.

I was actually wondering about this... honestly, today was the first time I ever heard that Tolkien was Catholic... how does that even stay under the radar? I mean, I’ve got at least six or seven of his books sitting on my shelf and I've known who he was since 1997😁 when I first picked up some of his work
Today I was reading something else entirely—something totally unrelated—and then Tolkien’s name pops up in a discussion about faith, and it immediately triggered this thought in my head

Someone mentioned something earlier—if it matters for context, which it probably doesn't... yeah... we see it all the time where people claim something isn't relevant to the point, yet they bring it up anyway
It’s a bit grim to say, but looking at what’s happening in the world lately... it’s not even about being ashamed of the cross or religious symbols anymore
It’s more like... I don't know, maybe I'm just not the smartest guy here, but it feels like everyone is just pivoting toward believing in conspiracies instead
