If ignoring them doesn't work, then I guess it's time to pull out the heavy artillery and give them a taste of their own medicine. In the real world, people would have dealt with this much more aggressively by now, but since this is just an online forum, we’re stuck playing by certain rules.
His complete lack of class defines him. But honestly, if you and I are having a decent conversation and he suddenly jumps in along with two or three of his usual troll buddies just to interrupt and derail everything, the whole point of the discussion just vanishes. It becomes impossible to follow.
And don't even get me started on the other stuff that keeps getting a pass. People are constantly dropping links to YouTube videos over and over again without any context. There’s never an explanation of why we should even care or what we’re supposed to take away from it. Instead, you’ll see some guy drop five different YouTube videos that are each an hour or two long, and then what? Are we all supposed to sit there for hours watching the exact same footage in five different versions? It leads absolutely nowhere because there’s no conclusion—just a endless loop of the same million questions.
The bottom line is this: we desperately need some actual moderation around here. ☕

But seriously, most of the junk is gone. I’ve gone through and cleaned up pretty much everything I felt needed deleting, though I did try to be reasonable and leave the really old stuff or minor slip-ups alone unless they were becoming a recurring problem.

I think I phrased that poorly, he totally slipped my mind—he drops one of these little 'summaries' every couple of weeks or so. I mean, it feels kind of pointless to go around deleting posts and handing out penalties before actually explaining the basic rules of engagement to people... if they can't grasp those fundamentals, then maybe they just aren't cut out for interacting with others online anyway, I guess.
