Give me a break, you guys are just so adorable when you gang up on Daniel Gomez10 like this.

Jason Richardson5 said:Leave Daniel Gomez10 alone. At least he actually knows what he's doing instead of just being clueless.🤣

So this is how we treat people in the chat now? A few of you have basically hijacked the whole thing—total newcomers. People act all "tough" in posts where they aren't even quoting anyone, throwing insults either subtly or straight up, and then act like the "newbies" are the ones at fault.

---

The actual issue started because for two days straight, I was harassed to post my private photo on the public chat and then told I couldn't take it down. And no, you weren't asking for a pic of a nail or a shoe, but rather—and I quote—“a vacation photo.” Because I accidentally, and I repeat: accidentally, stepped into a round thread.
When I asked the moderator, Tvuk, to show me exactly where that rule was, you guys just lost it.
Again, I stepped into the thread by accident, and my choice not to have my private photos hanging out on a public forum has nothing to do with being difficult—I delete them regardless.
So let's not pretend to be naive here.

You've broken more rules than I can count: forcing someone to post private photos, insulting a moderator, talking smack about moderation in the chat (even after being warned), and opening five different chats while the main one was locked.
Plus the blatant mobbing going on. Look at how many people you've targeted and how you're treating The33—you harassed him over the exact same photo issue and just won't let it go, constantly picking on him and calling him a "crybaby."

Since locking a thread is a totally valid way to de-escalate things, and Daniel Gomez10 is acting as a moderator there, her move was justified. It doesn't matter how often or rarely you see her around.

Now that things have cooled down, the chat is open again. Hopefully, everything stays chill from here on out.

You guys could have easily just grabbed your stuff and moved on to other chat threads once this one was closed, but you didn't.

Just stop commenting on the moderation, quit pressuring people to post photos if they clearly don't want to, and we’ll all be fine.

Nobody really gives a damn about one or two rule violations; the real issue is everything else surrounding the topic you just shut down.
Because the moderator’s constant mishandling of the situation is what actually caused this. It's not just some random 30 forum users acting up.

It's all laid out right there in the thread you just closed.
I honestly think we should be looking at the actual root causes here.

When 30 veteran members of a thread all feel the exact same way—and they didn't even talk to each other first—it's definitely not a coincidence or just noise.

I moved this post over here and locked the old one so we can actually have a decent discussion without cluttering up the complaints section.

Exactly.
You were part of a mob just like this one not too long ago, I guess.
Maybe now that you see nobody is actually taking a personal swipe at you, an apology for months of harassment would be appropriate.

Alright, I’m copying the original post from the thread along with my own take on how this whole situation spiraled out of control due to some poor decision-making.

Betty Jones32 said:Like I said in the other thread, I’m saying it here too: from now on, I'm reporting every single rude post directed at anyone in this chat. Being polite didn't get us anywhere. Once we stopped staying quiet, called out the disrespect, and met them on their own level, all we got were warnings.
Fine by me. We'll start reporting too. Maybe the moderator—who is basically non-existent on Rekra—can actually start doing their job and stay more updated on how users are interacting.

I totally agree that this needs to happen. Just like everyone else. If you have trolls jumping in just to be obnoxious, report them to the mods. If there's still no reaction after that, feel free to reach out to me; I'll talk to the mod team and see if someone deserves a sanction.

It seems like the issue keeps coming up because people refuse to upload a profile picture (any picture, really), and they do it purely out of spite since they can get away with it. No one can stop them. If they bother you, just ignore them. I know this chat has its own set of rules, but since these are internal guidelines, no one is going to get banned for ignoring them. However, if you want to actually fit in here, you have to put in a little effort. So, if someone is being difficult and won't even upload a photo of a sneaker they're wearing, just don't talk to them. Problem solved.

And stop bad-mouthing the moderation. You're just asking for warnings for no reason.

Nathan Turner3 said:I totally agree that this needs to happen. Seriously, everyone else feels the same way too. If you're dealing with those trolls who are just jumping in specifically to be rude and obnoxious, please just report them to the moderators right away. And hey, if you do that and still don't see any reaction, you can always come to me after. I’ll have a chat with the mods and we can figure out if someone actually deserves a penalty or whatever.
I feel like this issue keeps popping up because some people just flat-out refuse to post a photo—any kind of photo, really. It’s almost like they’re doing it out of pure spite, just because they can. And honestly? There isn't much anyone can do about it. If those types of posts really bother you, I guess you should just ignore them. I know that specific chat has its own set of unwritten rules and vibes, but yeah... maybe it's just best to look the other way.

Yeah, totally. 👍

Just so nobody gets the wrong idea based on what dustypilot11 or anyone else might be complaining about, it’s not like there's this massive, ongoing disaster happening with the photo. It’s definitely not like we have a constant issue every single time. I mean, honestly, it’s probably only happened maybe twice? And that's out of like twenty different threads. So yeah, it's really not that big of a deal!

So, yeah, I mean, honestly? It’s such a tiny, tiny little thing. Like, seriously, it's barely even worth mentioning, I guess!

That’s not even the main issue, though... I mean, that one post isn't the real headache. It's those other fifty posts that are actually the problem, I guess.

Tvuk is pretty much always around here, you know? It doesn't really make sense to give him updates since he's basically seen everything from the very beginning, though I guess he’s just been handling things the way we've all been talking about in this thread so far.

So, honestly? Because nobody's actually following the rules—and since these are basically just your own internal guidelines anyway—I don't see how anyone is actually going to get sanctioned. I mean, it just doesn't make sense, right?

I mean, honestly, nobody is even asking the mods to go after a cultural crew like that.

Honestly, we just didn't want anyone messing with our vibe or ruining the conversation, that’s all! It’s totally normal for the cultural crew to speak up when they feel that way. Nothing crazy, really—we can just leave it at that and move on.

Look, I'm just saying—it's not like I'm asking anyone to go out and do something illegal or break any laws, you know? There's absolutely nothing shady about what I'm suggesting! It’s totally above board, I swear! 😁

Look, I guess at the end of the day, if you actually want to fit in somewhere or build a connection, you’ve gotta put in a little bit of work. It’s just how it goes, right? So, like, if someone is being stubborn just for the sake of it and refuses to even show a tiny bit of effort—not even a basic photo of the sneakers they're wearing—then honestly, maybe just don't bother talking to them. Just stop communicating with that person, and boom, you've basically solved your own problem!

And seriously, please stop circling around the moderation stuff—it’s just a waste of time and you're basically just asking to get flagged for nothing.

👍

dustypilot11 said:Oh my gosh, come on guys! You all look so incredibly cute when you team up like this to jump on Daniel Gomez10.

Look, nobody is actually attacking Daniel Gomez10! We were just pointing out—in a totally respectful, cultural crew kind of way, I swear—some specific gaps in how the moderation is being handled.

Just some normal conversation.

This is how people act when they’re being polite in the chat. A few of you have basically hijacked the whole thing with these constant new vendettas. Some individuals just go on "rampages," mostly in posts where they aren't even quoting anyone—either being super passive-aggressive or just straight-up insulting people—and then they turn around and act like the "newbies" are the ones at fault.

Just so you know, it was the exact same Jack Ward82 over there defending Daniel Gomez10, telling Jason Richardson5 that the comment was out of line.
Maybe give that some thought.

It’s not like we all share one single brain, and there isn't really this big "you guys over there" mentality like you're implying.
You've got 30 different people (men and women!) who are all going to have their own unique perspectives and opinions.

And as for everything else, if the cultural crew on the thread just isn't your vibe in general, then maybe don't post there?

Betty Jones32 said:I’m in total agreement with everything said here, and I want to drive home these two undeniable facts.

To provide some broader context—those of us who have been around for a while are just frankly fed up. These "newcomers," who aren't even really new anymore, have been coming in and treating us with nothing but blatant disrespect.

Most of us here are long-term members, and as previously mentioned, none of us have ever been flagged or banned. That should tell you we’re peaceful people who don't go looking for trouble. But even our patience has reached its limit because the sheer rudeness and toxic communication style from certain individuals in this otherwise chill chat has finally boiled over.

Exactly how much longer are we expected to sit there and take the insults and mockery before someone decides to step in? And why is it that when we finally stand up for ourselves because we've had enough, *we're* the ones who get sanctioned?

I’m relatively new to this specific chat, but I totally get why you guys are frustrated—because even as a newcomer, I can't stand this kind of aggressive, rude communication either. I’ve been a member of this forum for over 13 years, and it’s incredibly obvious when someone is just using this space as a punching bag for their own personal frustrations, especially when we're dealing with such relaxing, feel-good topics.

Maria Johnson said:Hold on, I was in that thread too and I didn't feel welcome at all, so I left. You guys were constantly making jokes just to push me out, same as you did to dustypilot11.
Shout out to Milivojka, Bugica, and Tvuk, but some of you... god.

And dustypilot11 is just collateral damage. I’m watching this, and there’s plenty of malicious mocking going on here even without her involved.

Stop being such jerks, individuals. Milivojka, I love you. 😬

Also, you all act like I'm the problem just because I posted photos on MK that you all obsess over daily. You're all just newbies. How can you even think that?

Hannah, from what I saw, you were actually pretty well-accepted there.

Drew Ross2 said:Totally.
It wasn't even that long ago that you were part of a group like that.
Maybe now that you see it's not a personal vendetta against you, an apology for months of harassment would be appropriate.

Man, I'm done repeating myself.
I already said they wanted a recreational photo, not a sneaker shot, so I posted two. Then everyone lost their minds because I deleted them before anyone even saw them properly.
Keep being judgey, I guess.

Look, dustypilot11, you're stressing out over nothing. You should've just leaned into the joke, tossed a pic in your coat, or even a bikini... I once posted a shot of my feet on the scale, Gipsy posted her hands, shadowviper24 did one in a coat... there were tons of those, just everyone messing around, and we hit another thousand users in no time. I don't know if you reported Daniel Gomez10 for "harassment" or if you just stumbled upon it, but this whole thing blew up into something totally pointless out of nowhere.
And to quote you: keep going with that review style...

Look, wherever I show up, people don't really have a choice—they either accept me or they don't.😬

But it was always the same old story: they kept harping on about me posting photos (mind you, I was fully clothed) on MK, and then they’d dig up some ancient posts of mine from other threads and drop links to them because they didn't have any actual arguments left. It’s like I wasn't being "troublesome" enough for them, so they just had to find a way to bury me, I guess.😁 😬

So, I decided to throw a little curveball and dropped a link to the thread where I actually won that cooking competition.☕ Naturally, nobody had anything to say to that. It turns out they were trying to lecture the female version of Gordon Ramsay.☕

Hey, maybe try not being so passive-aggressive? I guess it might help to just read through this entire thread first to get the full picture before jumping in with a comment.

What exactly was passive-aggressive about that?
My point kept coming back to how they treated that girl from MK—repeatedly, despite everything, trying to humiliate her.

That’s just how people communicate over there.

Maria Johnson said:I mean, what part of this was even passive-aggressive?

Quoted text.
Or rather, the actual post content. I didn't quote it because it’s sitting right above mine. 😁

it basically always boiled down to that MK girl, multiple times, regardless of how much she tried to hold her own.

That’s just how people talk over there, I guess.

Looking at all the posts on this topic here, I don't think a single one is even remotely similar to what’s already been linked twice in this thread. Right?

And looking back through old discussions, nothing comes close, except maybe for that one thing from Jason Richardson5.

But honestly, that one exception doesn't change a single thing about the whole situation, and it definitely doesn't touch any of the arguments we're actually making here. It's not relevant at all.
You're just being distracting for no reason.

Plus, even Jack Ward82—who is actually part of that "group" and is now banned specifically for that exact post (and stuff like that before) —said it was totally out of line and unnecessary.

So, first off, please stop spreading misinformation, and second, stop trying to make this about yourself. 😁

I really don't care if you posted something somewhere, or if most of the cultural crew over there did too, but you're really picking a fight with someone who isn't even involved (though shouldn't everyone feel the same way?), and now you're dragging it out needlessly. You aren't the center of this discussion.
