Honestly, this whole show makes even less sense than those water polo matches 🙏—and that’s saying something when you consider they’re airing right in the middle of the 🙏
season.

The qualifying mark for the finals was set at 63.50. Out of her nine total attempts, Sarah managed to hit that exact number once, plus one jump that went even further. Everything else fell short of the mark. I suppose there’s a reason for that.

To me, she looked shaky on the run-up, especially during the release phase.🤷

I just have a feeling things didn't quite click for her today, plain and simple. Same thing happened to Stipe. Regardless, taking 4th place is a massive win. After winning at the U23 level and a few other titles this year, this proves she isn't just some "one-hit wonder." She's got a bright future ahead if she keeps this up.

As they mentioned during the broadcast, her current age is actually considered the prime window for this specific discipline. From what I can gather, 28 is really the sweet spot. Since Sarah still has quite a few competitions lined up before she hits that mark, and given how much heart she shows, I honestly don't doubt for a second that massive achievements are in her future.

She seemed incredibly anxious throughout the whole thing, but frankly, there’s no reason to worry. We should just enjoy watching her, especially knowing we have athletes making finals in events that don't get nearly as much spotlight here as baseball does back home.🙄

Kudos to Sarah—taking fourth place is actually a huge win. The most important thing here is that she’s maintaining this steady level of high-tier performance; there wasn't any real letdown at all. Honestly, a letdown would have been if she’d choked and missed the finals entirely during the qualifiers. Everything looks solid from where I’m sitting. She’ll definitely find her mental footing once she gains a bit more seasoning under her belt—she’s only 22, after all. Her career is just getting started. It feels like Americans are always jumping the gun, expecting gold medals and podium sweeps immediately, but we really need to pump the brakes. There’s plenty of time for that stuff later.

2. And I honestly can’t wrap my head around why at the 800m, the second lap is always—without fail—just a few seconds slower than the first one. Every single time...

Honestly, dear girl, I am just so relieved this didn't turn into some kind of tragedy, because what she actually achieved here is a massive, massive success.

Seriously, sick Sarah 4. is out there. I mean, that little one is going to be a world champion; there is absolutely no doubt about that.

I mean, she wasn't exactly playing at her peak level. It’s my sense that the recent injury really left its mark on her performance.
