I have my company logo set up in Microsoft Word, which includes all our essential details like the EIN, phone numbers, fax lines, and more. I’m looking to add a few extra bits of information to the layout, but honestly, I’ve spent half the day wrestling with different software and haven't made any real progress.

The only way I managed to get anything done was by exporting the logo from Microsoft Word into a GIF format just to overlay some text. The problem? The font looks completely different, the sizing is totally off, and I have zero control over any further edits.

Does anyone have any advice or a better workflow for tackling this kind of thing? I would really appreciate some guidance on how to fix this mess.

Thanks!

Wait, let me get this straight... is the company info sitting in the header or the footer of the Microsoft Word document? If so, just double-click the header or footer area and you should be able to edit it directly...

Nah, the issue is that his logo is actually an image file, not plain text. That's where it gets annoying because you can't just type over an image directly in Microsoft Word. Well, at least not the way you would with regular text.

If that's the case and there’s an image tucked into the header or footer—whether it’s a jpeg, gif, or png—the easiest fix is just to hunt down the original file. Open it up in something like Adobe, or even just MS Paint, make the tweak, and swap it back in. Or, you know, just have him 😬
ask whoever originally set it up to handle it.

Or, you know, just "ask nicely" for the original version from whoever built it in the first place. 😬

Honestly? It feels like that "someone" baked the logo straight into the image on purpose. They probably want to hold onto the source files just so they can charge extra for any little tweaks later. Makes sense, right? You pay for the fix, you get the fix, but if the logo is stuck inside a design made in Adobe, it’s a total pain to mess with...
