Why can't I see certain users' posts or threads?

I am seeing the exact same error message:

I’m having a bit of a struggle here because I can’t actually see my own posts, which is a massive downside since this forum is just so enormous; I honestly can’t for the life of me remember which specific thread I last commented on or even which subforum I was hanging out in. 😵

Kimberly Smith6, you don't have permission to view this page. There are a few different things that might be causing this:

It’s possible your user account doesn't have the right level of privileges to get into this area. For instance, are you perhaps attempting to edit a post made by someone else, trying to reach administrative tools, or looking for some other restricted part of the system?
If you were just trying to post something, it might be that the site admin has temporarily disabled your account, or maybe it’s still sitting there waiting to be activated.

It said March 31st yesterday, now it’s April 30th. You guys are really blowing this out of proportion...

My activity is down significantly, but let’s be clear: I’m posting at least 50% less than I was a year ago. Within another year, I doubt I’ll even be on this site.

And it isn't a threat... or whatever. It's simple logic. You can deal with certain people's nonsense for a while. You might even tolerate some people indefinitely. But you cannot push everyone away forever.

What actually makes this forum work is the users. First, there’s that top 1%—the productive, useful, and interesting individuals. Then, there’s everyone else who helps out, talks, debates, and jokes around.

This platform doesn't succeed because of its features; it succeeds because of the people. Just watch what happens when that top 1% starts to trickle away. They’ll take other great users with them. Eventually, you'll be left with nothing but trolls, man-children, and the occasional transient. When that happens, the forum will die completely.

Honestly, I’m looking forward to it. I'll miss certain things, sure, but a better community will emerge—one that's more normal and doesn't have daily bugs.

This American forum will just be a bad memory.

Why on earth would I want to clutter my browser with hundreds of bookmarked topics? It’s a recipe for digital chaos. Honestly, it just turns your bookmarks bar into a graveyard of things you'll probably never look at again. It's way better to stay organized and actually find what you need when you need it. 😵

I’m just kidding... I’ll drop a few comments here and there, and then I can't for the life of me remember which threads I actually posted in. It's so annoying.

Just set your account to automatically subscribe to any thread you post in (that's what I do)...

And here I was thinking I was the one who was totally losing my mind—when exactly are we supposed to expect things to actually get back to normal?
