Hey everyone,

so I’m dealing with this incredibly slow computer of mine...

I've tried messing around with a few things to fix it, but honestly, I think a huge chunk of the headache is coming from all these updates just sitting there waiting to be installed...

I've got like 11 critical ones backed up along with 15 other random ones...

I'm trying to actually get them installed right now, though looking back at my history, it seems like they've been stuck in limbo for months...

The thing is, the whole installation process takes forever, and even if one finally goes through, most of the others—mostly those security patches for Windows 7—just fail over and over again...

Does anyone happen to know anything about this? Or maybe have some advice...

thanks so much in advance.

What kind of Windows are you running? Is it some sketchy bootleg version?
I’m just asking because those cracked versions of Windows often have the updates completely blocked by whatever activator was used, so I wanted to be sure...

I was just wondering because sometimes those cracked versions of Windows have activators that totally mess up the Windows update process, so I figured I'd check...

It's legit... bought it straight from the store

haven't touched a single thing...

I’m dealing with a seriously sluggish computer...

I’ve tried a few things to fix it, but I suspect a major part of the issue stems from a backlog of updates just sitting there waiting to be installed...

I have about 11 critical ones and 15 miscellaneous updates pending...

I'm attempting to run them now (though looking at my history, they've been stuck for months)...

The problem is the installation process itself takes forever; maybe one finally goes through, but the rest—mostly those security patches for Windows 7—keep failing repeatedly.

Does anyone have any insight on this?

Thanks in advance.

Try following this method:

You could head over to Services and attempt to kill the process there, or if that fails to work, just reboot the machine and try again after the restart.
