Carl Fisher7 said:Talking about how you handle moderation in my DMs isn't "gossip." People only resort to that because you refuse to actually listen to a single damn argument they make.

So, let me get this straight... people are supposedly unhappy with how we moderate, but instead of filing a formal complaint with us—which hasn't happened, by the way, since I haven't seen a single grievance—or hitting up the site admins, or even posting about it publicly, they just slide into your DMs? Is that really how this works now? 😕

Either you're telling the truth here, or your little "circle of friends" are just being totally unserious. So far, the only person who’s actually stepped up publicly is one girl complaining she didn't get banned after telling another user to get lost, plus someone else who doesn't even follow the community guidelines, so... yeah, their opinions don't carry much weight.

I'll say it again: it's honestly pathetic that someone your age would sink this low, trying to settle scores with moderators in such a childish way.

It's just sad...

That's a lie. I've filed my own complaints at least once before—probably more, honestly—and some other user reached out to me to vent, too. It’s perfectly normal that people aren't filing official grievances every single day, even if they’re fed up with how you guys moderate. And trust me, they are. I am, and so are all the people who have messaged me about it.

I might be able to suspect you're telling the truth.

You can suspect it all you want, but you've got no grounds. Because I'm telling the truth.

I can tell you one more time that I'm sorry someone your age has sunk so low as to try and take it out on the moderators in such an immature way.

How sad.

Personally, I'm sorry about the decline in moderation quality—which, let's be honest, wasn't exactly objective to begin with. That's the real tragedy here.

Carl Fisher7 said:Total lie. I’ve already filed a complaint—once, maybe twice, definitely more—and some other female user reached out to me privately about it too. It's totally normal for people to file complaints if they're unhappy with how you moderate things. And trust me, they are. I know, because everyone who messaged me felt the exact same way.

You can doubt me if you want, but you're just being unreasonable. I'm telling the truth here...

Honestly, it sucks seeing the moderation quality tank like this, especially since it wasn't exactly "fair and balanced" to begin with. Just sad...

Look, nobody has actually complained to us in the last week. It's weird... maybe your friend just has a bad memory.

And as for that whole "don't call me a liar because I'm telling the truth" thing? Yeah, I'm gonna pass on commenting on that logic.

Either forward all those messages to the site admin or stop bringing them up as "proof" for anything... I don't have five years to waste on this. Besides, it should be obvious that any one of us could claim we have fifty people backing us up and then drag them into a thread.

But we won't do that because we're adults. How many people back someone up doesn't even matter... it's completely irrelevant. People have backed all sorts of crazy stuff throughout history.

If you want to make a real complaint, you need actual evidence. In this specific thread, you claimed you got a strike unfairly. As proof, we can point to the warnings you were given (even though we aren't technically required to warn you) and the fact that you literally admitted you knew you were going to get flagged.

That's the only way we can actually have a debate. State a specific problem and give us concrete arguments, because that's the only way we can even try to offer a counterpoint.

As for how many friends you have or what your general opinion of us is? Save that for your private email group. None of us want to communicate like that, and nobody wants to sit here reading through your drama while trying to deal with the actual issue at hand.

I’ve already filed a formal complaint, laid out my reasoning, and sent over a lengthy follow-up email explaining everything. Honestly, it’s more than enough—just try reading it with a bit of actual comprehension for once.

Continuing this thread is just pointless at this stage because you're all just cherry-picking snippets to discredit me using gossip and other nonsense. You aren't even addressing the blatant lie told about Mrs. X—a lie that was obviously cooked up from a post by speculas, who even admitted it here (taking the fall himself). An apology to Mrs. X would have actually helped your credibility. But since it didn't happen, any apology now will feel forced. This is just poor moderation, plain and simple.

Emily Patel70 said:That's strange—maybe your friend just has a bad memory.

👏 Bravo. We're still stuck trying to pin things on some nonexistent "friend." See? This is exactly the level of moderation I'm talking about.😁

Emily Patel70 said:Look, nobody has come to complain to us in the last week.

I complained about her moderating, but they haven't replied to me at all.

I don't know, someone is clearly lying!

Carl Fisher7 said:So here’s your little dictionary entry 😲 What makes mine any different? 🤣 By claiming she’s your "friend," you’re basically admitting you can't moderate her posts objectively. In the political world, they’d call that a massive conflict of interest.

Look, you clearly live for this—you just love the constant bickering. Well, I'm not going to give you the satisfaction of a back-and-forth. I'll just leave you with these three points:

- Nobody called you a psychopath.
- The thread on domestic violence is closed, and for the record, I DID NOT moderate it.
- If you're so desperate to keep up this crusade, feel free to take your little hobby over to private messages and open your own counseling practice. As far as I'm concerned, be my guest.

Carl Fisher7 said:Look, Sean Cruz already dropped those links above—so much for my "making stuff up" or lying, right? And it wasn't just me she was coming at. Someone who actually left the chat because of how nimbleowl6 was acting actually slid into my DMs to tell me about all the other users she’s driven away with that attitude. I’m obviously not bothered by her take—to put it politely, wrapped in some nice packaging—but to be blunt, screw her opinion and her habit of selling smoke and mirrors disguised as high-level jargon. She just throws around big words because she knows most people here will be too impressed by the vocabulary to actually challenge her logic. Honestly, I'll just stick to common sense, whatever brain cells I have left, and actual reasoning.

Alright, if you don't give a damn about my posts, then why do you keep bringing me up? 😕
Since when did this whole thread become about me? 😲

Carl Fisher7, honestly, who cares what some random person sent you in a private message? That’s between you and them and doesn't change anything here. If these "dozens of people" you're talking about actually have a legitimate grievance, they can step up and speak for themselves. Right now, what you're sharing just sounds like hearsay, and frankly, it doesn't fly under the rules of this PDF. Let's just hold off and wait for the supermod to weigh in on the rest of this.

Carl Fisher7 said:Sean Cruz already provided those links above. So much for my supposed habit of making things up or lying. It wasn't just me she targeted. Someone who actually left the chat because of how nimbleowl6 was acting reached out to me privately to list other users who had been driven away by her insults. I’m obviously not affected—to put it politely, I stopped caring about her opinion a long time ago. To put it bluntly, her views are garbage, wrapped in a layer of pseudo-intellectual jargon designed to intimidate people. She uses fancy terminology to overwhelm others, banking on the fact that most users will be too impressed by her vocabulary to actually challenge her logic. Personally, I rely on common sense, basic intelligence, and the ability to follow a logical thread.

I missed this part, but it looks like it's being used as "logical proof" 🤦 that I am the user who messaged you privately.

So, here are a few facts:

- No, I am not the user who exchanged private messages with Carl Fisher7, nor is PMing people my standard way of communicating on this site.

- nimbleowl6 didn't drive me away. If either of us needs to feel "inferior," it's her, given her actual level of literacy.

- I was driven away by the double standards enforced by the moderators, specifically regarding how they support provocations that should clearly be sanctioned under our community guidelines.

And I am still waiting for her to produce any evidence for the post where she claims I told someone I would "drink their blood"—because that is straight-up slander.

So, here are a few quick facts to clear things up:

- No, I am not the user who ever exchanged private messages with Carl Fisher7—and honestly, that isn't how I typically interact on this board anyway.

Nope, I can confirm you aren't her, and I never said or even hinted at anything to the contrary. I also confirm that you and I have never swapped PMs. So, there goes that little bit of gossip. 😁

Carl Fisher7 said:Nope, let me set the record straight: I definitely didn't say that, nor did I even hint at it. And just for the sake of clarity, you and I have never once swapped DMs. So, there goes your little theory about me gossiping. 😁

That’s why you were busy bragging about how ten forum ladies are practically too terrified to even file a complaint against us "dictators," yet they're all over you for sympathy. Look, this isn't gossip. And no, it’s not like you’re some saint who avoids drama or whispers. Honestly, nobody cares who you're sliding into the DMs of.

Just wanted to point out that the mailing list where everyone’s whining about the terrible moderators over at the local community board was actually active back in 2013... way before boldwalker12 or anyone else even stepped foot in a moderator role.

Isn't it a little weird, though? Like, how is it that every single moderator on this board is supposedly "awful," and you’ve somehow maintained an active mailing list for nearly two years just to complain about them?

Honestly, I think you pretty much said everything there is to say about yourself in this thread. There's really nothing left to add...

Honestly, I’d love to invite all those ladies who keep sliding into Carl Fisher7's DMs to just say what they actually think about our moderation team—whether you want to go public or keep it in the private messages, whatever works for you. We aren't going to bite.

It’s honestly not fair to dump all this on Carl Fisher7. He shouldn't be stuck dealing with a mountain of complaints about how we moderate things when he isn't even the one in charge of making the calls—that's our job.

The guy has been catching heat for the mods for years now. Ladies, please, just come to us directly and give him a break.

No, seriously—enough has been said.
Even just looking at the original posts from the person filing the complaint—which the other members linked—it's pretty obvious how baseless this whole thing is.

As far as I'm concerned, maybe we could just lock the thread.

rustydrifter10 said:Carl Fisher7, look—whoever sent you those anonymous messages doesn't matter to us. It’s really none of our business. Seriously. dozens of people They can always reach out directly if they want to file a formal complaint—otherwise, what you're describing is just hearsay and doesn't actually follow the guidelines laid out in this PDF. Just sit tight and wait for the head moderator to weigh in on the rest.

Here we go again—another classic case of a loaded question. 🤦 I never actually said anything about... Dozens of people. I don't know what to tell you—it just is what it is. It’s been dozens of emails. Just endless ones.Oh, sure—now you’re going to try and tell me this wasn't built that way on purpose? That it isn't some kind of deliberate setup? Please.

Here’s a quote:

Carl Fisher7 said:I was talking about... Dozens of emails. Just dozens.Different people, different stories.

So far—total count—I've sent everything via DM. A handful. men

A few. Thanks.

She finally reached out to me... A handful. woman

If I had actually checked my inbox, I might have seen it. A few quick shoutouts. And just to confirm—I’m right.

These are... two Here are my thoughts on the moderation ratings I found sitting in my inbox.

And this, because we're dealing with nothing but pure fiction here.

Emily Patel70 said:So, let me get this straight—people are unhappy with how we’re handling the moderation, but instead of filing a formal complaint with us (since I haven't seen a single official grievance hit my desk), or reaching out to the admins, or even posting about it here... they’re just sliding into your DMs? That's certainly one way to run a feedback loop, I guess. 😕

I’m officially stepping up to be the first person here to file a formal complaint—though, let's be honest, there have been plenty of informal grumbles scattered throughout these threads already. In this particular instance, a user reached out to me and said...

I complained about how she was moderating, but they didn't give me any kind of response.

Look, I can't verify that myself, but I highly doubt she's making things up.

And honestly, it’s such a joke that we can’t even tell who’s actually being quoted here. Pretty sure it’s just your own rambling thoughts at this point. The only person who even bothered to complain—and they did it by starting some totally inappropriate thread on the main forum instead of actually reading the sub-boards or even leaving a single meaningful comment on the topic they were whining about...

Now it’s gonna look like there wasn't a whole crowd of people annoyed, but just one lone complainer.

Besides, it really doesn't matter who you're messaging. Whether it's one person or a hundred, it's all the same. Why are you even getting into a fight over this? It's trivial.

Seriously, you're just digging yourself into a deeper hole, and your arguments are becoming completely weightless... just empty noise at this stage.

If you keep harassing the users on this board like this, expect a permanent ban from the site.

All we can do now is sit back and wait for the mods to lock this thread down.

Carl Fisher7 said:I’m officially putting it on the record that I’m not the one complaining here—not for the first time, either, considering how many times I've voiced informal grievances in various threads. In this specific instance, a female user actually messaged me directly and said...

I can't verify her claim personally, but honestly, I highly doubt she's making things up.

And here you go again, bringing up those "anonymous reports sent to your email" even after you've already tried to retract them halfway through the third page—despite being warned that's not how the rules work and that you need to stop doing it. Look, who emailed you or what other users have sent your way isn't our business, provided that nothing is violating the site's guidelines.

A little while back, one of your posts was reported where you threatened to—and I quote—"systematically and analytically dissect her at every possible opportunity in a way that won't trigger any moderator response," just because a certain person wasn't banned from commenting on you. We simply aren't allowed to, nor do we want to, dictate who gets to quote whom. Even beyond that, since you clearly stated an intention to provoke, you could have—and really should have—been banned for every single attempt to tank the quality of the discussion. Let me be clear: dissecting someone isn't against the rules in and of itself, but using it as a tool to deliberately derail a thread is. Your goal was to bypass the rules to force a confrontation, and we just aren't going to tolerate that.
