Gmail issues

I need some help here. I can't get any of my Gmail accounts to load on my laptop. It just sits there spinning through the loading screen until it hits a wall and freezes up. I’ll sit there staring at it for thirty minutes or more, waiting for something to happen, but nothing. The only way I can actually get in is if I manually click "Standard view | Load basic HTML"

Try opening it in a different browser—and while you're at it, check if your Java and Flash Player are even up to date...

It opens fine in Explorer, but Mozilla is still giving me grief even though I've got the latest version of Java and Flash Player installed
