Go ahead and actually read the banning rules and tone down the language enough to qualify for a permaban.

Personally, I think if he wants to be banned himself, then just let it happen. He’s clearly doing this as a protest. We can't all be happy with everything; there are all kinds of people here.
If someone was allowed to change their username once, and we only get one shot at that, then they should just allow this too. It takes five minutes of work, but hey, let them have their way.

That's just my take, though. The moderators don't actually have to listen to him.

Look, the Mod already made it clear: demanding a permanent ban is actually a violation of the rules itself, so that request is dead in the water. Period. We have to stick to the rules, no matter how much it sucks or how harsh it feels.

He isn't breaking any rules here. People only start breaking rules when they feel like they're being banned for nothing, and maybe the mod just phrased things poorly.

Yeah, you nailed it. It’s honestly so stupid—he can't be banned just because someone asks, but the second someone starts throwing insults about family or nationality, suddenly it's all over. Makes zero sense.
It’s definitely for commercial reasons; they want to be able to brag, "Look how many members we have!" while ignoring the fact that 90% of them don't even post. Whatever gets them those ad dollars, I guess. 🤣

Let him take it to the Supreme Court for all I care. If a guy doesn't want to be part of something, he should be able to leave. In any normal American club or organization, you'd just get your membership papers and walk away.

They count the permanent bans toward their total too. They still count those people.
He has every right to be permanently banned if he asks for it. 😳
