One simply needs to retain a competent attorney, and I believe all of this can eventually be resolved through the proper legal channels.
Naturally, these various narratives regarding arson or the exorbitant cost of the stadium seats seem somewhat absurd; however, for days leading up to this, there were constant warnings issued to people to be cautious about their actions and the potential consequences. One shouldn't be surprised when someone ends up in a mess; it was very clearly understood what certain lowlifes were capable of doing.
Furthermore, there is all this talk about things being set on fire halfway through the game, or whenever it happened, claiming the Ultras had already exited the stadium. In reality, a few seats were set ablaze right at the very beginning. To be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less about Mamić's chairs; the entire stadium is practically a tinderbox anyway.
But I will reiterate my point: every single individual was publicly cautioned to exercise restraint. As for those who chose to ignore that and proceed with lighting things, hoping for a different outcome, I cannot begin to fathom what was going through their minds.
And what can we truly expect now? After everything that went smoothly on Sunday and Wednesday—the exits were handled perfectly, no one was harassed, and not a single person faced any undue scrutiny—we are seeing this horror unfold where innocent people end up behind bars. This little arson incident actually serves them a disservice, as it provides fuel for the inevitable narrative that hooligans are out fighting in the streets and burning down grandstands again.
It really could have been avoided entirely.
