The surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, so I suppose I feel a little bit of relief for now.
I just really hope this isn't some kind of false sense of security. 🙂

After reading through all of this, it’s clear that none of us—not me and certainly not you—actually have the full picture here. But whatever.🤷
I'm hoping the surgery goes smoothly.🙂
Please, keep us posted on the results once you actually hear what the doctors have to say.

I just wanted to give an update. He’s out of surgery, and they ended up removing the breast. So, I guess it wasn't as benign as we originally thought.

The doctor didn't really want to go into any specifics yet; he basically told us we just have to wait for the pathology reports to come back.

The mammogram itself looked fine, but once they did the biopsy, things got complicated. The results weren't clear-cut, and since they couldn't pinpoint everything immediately, the doctor refuses to jump to conclusions or offer a diagnosis until the tissue analysis is actually finished.

I'm pretty scared, honestly, but I suppose there isn't much else I can do besides wait...😢

About eighteen months ago, I noticed some swelling in my left breast—or whatever one calls that area, haha. I went to see a doctor, had an ultrasound done, and was told it was just some inflamed glands. Eventually, I underwent surgery to have the enlarged tissue removed, and everything seemed to go perfectly fine at the time. Now, however, I’ve developed these lumps at the surgical site about 2 to 3 cm long. Some feel like little knots; they range from round to irregular in shape. They aren't painful when I press on them, nor do they seem to be growing. Interestingly, the initial swelling started right around the time I began hitting the gym and lifting weights. After the surgery, once I got back into my training routine after a bit of recovery, the enlargement stopped progressing.

I am wondering, could this just be scar tissue forming, or am I looking at something more serious?

It’s most likely just some scar tissue.
But hey, if you're losing sleep over it, maybe go see a doctor so a pro can actually give you a real opinion.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?
I am wondering... does this type of scar tissue develop in women who have undergone partial breast removals or some other form of localized excision?

Not directly in the breast itself, but yeah, it can happen right on the surgical scar.

As for how it looks for women, I can tell you what happened to someone close to me.
She had surgery for breast cancer, and this similar stuff started forming on the scar—little lumps about 0.5 cm big. Naturally, she freaked out, went to her oncologist, had an ultrasound and a biopsy, and it turned out to be nothing but fatty tissue.

Still, it's worth getting a doctor to take a look...

Hey there
I'm a 17-year-old guy and I've got a bit of a situation going on
I can feel this weird lump right under my left nipple, but nothing at all under the right one
The thing is, it actually hurts pretty bad whenever I touch it

If anyone here has dealt with something similar, please let me know what you think or if you've been through this before
Thanks

It is most likely gynecomastia—which is essentially just the development of breast tissue in men.
It tends to pop up during your age group, though you see it in older men quite often too.
Sometimes it happens for no clear reason at all, but other times it can be triggered by a hormonal imbalance.
In many cases, it actually resolves on its own.

I would suggest heading to your primary care physician; they will likely order a breast ultrasound—which is necessary just to confirm we are dealing with glandular tissue rather than a tumor—and they might refer you to an endocrinologist as well.

I am looking for someone to provide a serious explanation regarding my situation; please spare me the jokes and nonsense, as I am here seeking actual insight from this group.

About four months ago, I noticed what felt like a long, cord-like structure just above my right nipple—it seems to shift slightly under my finger when I press down, yet if I run my finger along its length, the sensation isn't there...
I have discovered a similar, albeit smaller, ridge directly above that spot, so I would appreciate it if someone could clarify whether this points toward a carcinoma or if it is nothing to worry about.

Thank you.

Based on what you’ve shared, I don't think you're going to find the kind of answer here that’ll actually put your mind at ease.

If this mass you're talking about is making you feel uneasy or worried, my best advice is to go see your doctor right away. They can take a look, perform a physical exam, and figure out the next steps based on what they find.
Wishing you the best.

It isn't a solid mass; it feels more like a slippery vein that moves around when touched, and from what I understand, a cancer is usually a hard, fixed lump... I was just checking here to see if anyone had experienced something similar or could explain it to me...

I felt this little lump about 4-5 cm below my right nipple. It's roughly the size of a grain of rice, and when I press on it with my finger, it feels like it moves around under the skin. Could this actually be breast cancer, and is it even possible for a lump to be located that low down?

Please show this to your primary care physician.

If the change is subcutaneous, it could potentially be a lipoma—which is quite common—but, just to ensure peace of mind, you should visit your doctor.

Hello

I happened to notice a small bump near my nipple yesterday, and by this morning, the entire area had turned quite red; when I touch it, the texture feels remarkably similar to several other skin irritations I've dealt with on various parts of my body in the past.

Do you think I ought to make an appointment with a doctor or what?
