Great, just what we needed... yet another Snow White remake that hasn't even settled on an official title yet (apparently "Snow White 3D" is the working title)

The Plot:
Basically, the Evil Queen (played by Julia Roberts) seizes control of the entire kingdom, leaving the exiled princess (Lily Collins) to scramble for help from seven dwarves if she ever wants her throne back.

The cast also features Armie Hammer as Prince Andrew Alcott, plus Nathan Lane playing the Queen's servant.

It's even more obvious that everyone just has different tastes.☕

That’s exactly my point. Snow White needs to look the part—she needs that royal, classic beauty. Which is something Stewartica just doesn't have. She’s not right for the role... too plain for Snow White.☕

Snow White and the Huntsman is just a different beast entirely—different genre, different look, different vibe. You notice it immediately. It’s all about personal taste, I guess. Personally, I lean toward the darker version; Stewartica fits that role perfectly.
Generally speaking, I liked the cast in the first film way more than this one. For instance, I wasn't a fan of Julia Roberts in this role at all. She just doesn't have that wicked, cruel edge you need for a real Evil Queen.

honestly, she seems like a way better actress at first glance

Wait, so we're getting two different Snow White movies in such a short span of time? Like, what is actually happening lately? 🤷

Honestly, I’m not even mad about it—I just really hope they both turn out to be solid flicks.

Honestly, this movie gives me total flashbacks to that one Italian adult film, especially because of that shot featuring the dwarves. 😬

Look, you can believe I watched it, but that whole dwarf thing was just way too much for me.

Plus, it was Italian or German, so they weren't even that hot anyway.

Mirror, Mirror - official trailer

Look, I’m not exactly a huge fan of Julia... but honestly? This looks way more entertaining than that other Snow White movie

I suppose it does look a bit like some sort of parody.

this is awful. I don't care how much they tried to make her version of Snow White look ugly—this just looks like a bad comedy. Based on this trailer? Total flop!

I noticed Julia uses three different accents throughout the trailer, which feels a bit much, and honestly, those jokes are just painfully lame. I’m not really feeling this direction, especially since I was holding out hope that this version of SW would actually be a significant step up from the others. It feels like they tried to make a version specifically for kids, but even then, it doesn't quite hit the mark for that age group, I guess.

I honestly have no idea what to expect from this one. After how badly Tarsem Singh let me down with Immortals, I'm feeling pretty skeptical..

Watched it today. Really solid film, mostly thanks to Tarsemov’s visuals and Eiko Ishiok's costume design. I actually liked Julia Roberts—don't think I've ever seen her play a villain before, but she nails it. Bitchy. 😍

Honestly, a total pleasant surprise. I fought it for a while, trying to convince myself not to watch, but I finally gave in—and thank God I did! The movie leans pretty hard into parody, so I spent most of the runtime laughing my head off. Visually, it’s stunning. The cast is super likable too. The lead actress is a dead ringer for Audrey Hepburn. My only gripe? Someone really should have given her a little trim on those eyelashes! Definitely recommend this for parents with energetic kids.

And her forearms need a wax, too.😂

Honestly, the movie was just okay for me. It had some funny moments here and there, but nothing really special about it! 🤷
