Ashley Wright51 said:What are you guys even getting worked up about? Honestly, Peter Clark6 can't wait to jump into some pointless argument just for the sake of it. Look—I don't know you, Peter Clark6, not even a little bit—but based on what you've been typing here, you're a real piece of work. Really unpleasant guy.. I’ve always had a negative take on dogs. Honestly—they aren't my thing. They can be unpredictable, loud, and frankly, a lot of work for very little payoff. I prefer a quieter life without the constant barking or the mess. It’s just not for me. (it's your absolute right,) You're making some nasty insinuations about how I feel about dogs.Look, you have some fixed ideas. How should dogs behave? It’s a simple question, but people get worked up about it. Honestly—it comes down to training and consistency. If you aren't setting boundaries from day one, don't act surprised when your dog starts running wild in the middle of a Starbucks. They need structure. Period.Look, you can walk in there with those ideas on some PDF meant for animal lovers, and then what? You just end up... What the hell are you talking about? What's the big deal?
And then there's those thinly veiled comments about how you're just interested from a sociological standpoint—trying so hard to "understand us."
Dammit, man. You know—So, what happens when it feels like the whole damn world is ganging up on you?Maybe take a second to pause—just ask what the actual issue is and actually think about it? It’s highly unlikely that everyone else has lost their minds at once, just so you can play Zorro and pretend you're the only one enlightened enough to open everyone else's eyes.
Had a bad run with dogs? Then just move on, man. From KLJ—don't be a masochist.
I’m not being difficult—seriously. I was just standing there on the beach, staring out at the ocean, scrolling through my phone. A little distance behind me, two pensioners were walking a dog. Suddenly, something sharp stings me and jolts my leg. Because I jumped so abruptly, the dog actually slipped right out of its leash. One of the pensioners yells, "Bad boy, come here!" I look down, blood is literally dripping from my shin into my shoe, and I'm thinking, *what now?* The old folks just shrug it off like, "It’s just a scratch, and don't worry, the dog is vaccinated." If I were actually a troublemaker, I would've called the cops and dragged them into court—or, much faster, I would've handed them both a slap and tossed the dog into the bushes.
I’m not going to make any nasty insinuations about how people treat their dogs. Dog owners love to make those bitter little comments about attitudes toward pets, and honestly, YouTube is absolutely flooded with amateur clips of dogs in beds, dogs with kids, and all that other stuff. I won't bother posting links—I don't want anyone accusing me of "alluding" to anything. Just go find them yourselves.
I laid out ten specific points at the start of this thread—the same ones that got us shut down earlier. I was just pulling from that one YouTube video where the creator lists ten different everyday scenarios instead of just focusing on owning a dog. It’s not my own invention; it's a direct quote used to kick off the discussion.
Look, I don’t have anything against dogs—really, I don't. But I shouldn't be forced to take a detour just to get to the corner store because five different owners decided to congregate on one sidewalk with ten dogs. It’s ridiculous. You've got some owners laughing while their pets jump all over you trying to snatch a bag of groceries, others shouting at nothing, and then there are the ones unsuccessfully trying to bribe their dogs with human food—like "Fifi, it’s not breakfast time!" or "Come on, leave the man alone, Fifi, stop being so naughty, get over here." Then they start apologizing for the mud—"Sorry, he got you dirty, I told him not to walk through the muck"—as if that makes it better. If I actually hated dogs, I’d be calling the local code enforcement officer, filing formal complaints as a witness to public disturbances, and calling the cops to ID the troublemakers just so I could film everything for a court case. Or, I’d just grab a stick and clear my own path through my own neighborhood. That’s about it.
Dogs need to be kept under control so they aren't a nuisance—just like how people handle horses. The only exceptions are working dogs and service animals for the blind.
The "whole world" hasn't conspired against me—I talk to my handlers face-to-face without any issues—but clearly, something went sideways on this forum. It always comes down to money, as far as I'm concerned, but I won't dwell on that. My love for animals outweighs any interest in cash, no matter the price tag.

Here’s an example—I state my opinion and immediately get banned. You people show up to the politics board acting like experts when nobody even asked for your input, yet when it comes to the pets section, nobody can contribute a single useful thing.
We need to mandate a standardized kit for cleaning and disinfecting—get them into production and onto store shelves immediately. Also, we should start fining anyone caught walking their dog without proper gear (since right now, most people just use a flimsy plastic bag)
Standardized dog walking gear:
A 4-foot leash with a sturdy handle
A carrying bag
A muzzle
Waste bags
Disposable gloves
Wet wipes
A small broom and dustpan
Disinfectant spray for the spot

Between the new pet tax and these fines, our streets will actually look decent. The dogs will be happier, owners will act more civilized, and even people without pets might actually want to hang out with them
