Benjamin Cruz29 said:What are you even talking about... show me one single post where someone calls BBB out for being useless. Show me one person from any fan group saying they can't handle pressure or that things aren't tough for them during a serious debate... you guys are the only ones projecting that onto others. You just sit there acting like everyone else is having a blast and doesn't give a damn. Look, every group has its pros and cons, and everyone deals with their own drama. But when people start talking trash about BBB, it’s honestly pretty pathetic. That’s what triggers reactions from the other groups, and then it becomes a cycle.

Where did I ever say you guys don't handle pressure? Or that we're the only ones suffering? All I said was that BBB has the most legendary story in all of Europe. I'm talking about the last 25 years and everything we've been through, not just right now. (check the BBB thread and the video)

I didn't say you guys were just sitting around doing nothing. If anything, I said I see hope after this derby because your message and choreo were absolutely insane.

Jesse Campbell said:Yeah, back then we were basically what the Black Knights are today. 🙄

So?

I'm intentionally choosing not to dwell on this whole "Black Knights today" thing because I honestly don't have the time, and frankly, I have zero interest in trying to decipher what you're actually getting at here, but let me be clear: this isn't about the Black Knights, nor is anyone claiming to glorify them in this context.

It’s honestly pretty ridiculous to hear lectures on being "uncompromising Europeans"—or whatever broader standard you're trying to set—from someone who belongs to a group that was just three years ago cheering in unison for a championship alongside a guy like Vrbanić, who everyone knows is essentially a local mob figure. It's just funny how you want to lecture us on fan consciousness when your own group mocks other groups for trying to run a club without mafia influence, yet you're perfectly happy celebrating titles won alongside those very same criminals. And it's equally absurd that you seem to have lost all touch with reality regarding what people write online; if people actually tried to do the same things they suggest just to change the club's name, they'd probably burn the whole country down, for God's sake.

The truth is, you guys haven't really been doing the real work until around 2010, and that's when everyone finally got behind you, so the fact that some of you personally weren't fans of Mamić before that period doesn't mean the group was acting as a single unit.

At the end of the day, you're just a very standard European ultra group that has dealt with serious rivals throughout its history, which naturally led to internal friction that effectively cancels out any claims of total purity or being completely uncompromising. I have nothing but respect for what you're accomplishing now, and I'm sure you're grinding through plenty of bullshit to make it happen, but let's stop pretending these myths are anything more than legends.

Stay safe out there.

Gary Green32 said:Time flies, I guess. Watching the whole BBB and Dinamo situation unfold... it’s honestly kind of depressing how much it’s becoming a reality. Football is all about emotion, right? And look, I’m not trying to shade any Dinamo fans—there are definitely some real, die-hard supporters out there—but it feels like there just aren't enough of them to make an impact. Maybe that's just how it is.

We’ve always said that the BBB crew are basically just robots, I guess. Just a bunch of people with zero emotion. Honestly. They’re just looking out for themselves, honestly. Not the club they claim to support. It's more about them than the team. Meanwhile, you've got the actual supporters who show up and grind for all 90 minutes, win or lose.Get lost.I mean, at the end of the day, those raw emotions? That's basically what makes football, well, football. I guess. They were definitely lacking that. I guess..

Honestly, I don't really care what anyone else thinks. If we lose, I’m probably gonna get even louder about it, and if we're winning? Yeah, I'll be riding that high even harder. I guess in every crowd, you've got those people who just show up for the group itself, but that stuff doesn't last long. Like Laura Mitchell87 was saying, if you aren't bringing actual emotion and love to the table, you're basically just lying to yourself.

Gary Green32 said:BBB actually had some momentum going once. They felt like they were doing something, I guess. Civil society back in the 90s... man, what a trip that was. It’s funny looking back at how everything used to feel so much more raw, I guess. You had all these grassroots movements popping up out of nowhere, just people trying to make sense of a changing world. Everything felt a bit more DIY, maybe a little chaotic, but there was this weird energy to it. It wasn't like the polished, corporate-sponsored non-profits you see today. Back then, it was just people in living rooms or small community centers trying to actually change things. I don't know, maybe I'm just being nostalgic, but there was something about that era that felt a lot less manufactured.Back when everyone was fighting to protect their reputation against that old-school administration—you know, the ones who were busy crushing civil liberties and gagging the press—the rest of civil society basically stood shoulder-to-shoulder with BBB. But then they shut down that site, and BBB... well, you know how it goes. They're turning into their own little subculture, I guess. Just like so many other short-lived subcultures we've seen popping up all over the US lately. So, now the hipsters have officially arrived. 😁

If I’d actually been out of diapers back in the 90s, I probably would've done a much better job than this... but man, you really dropped the ball here.

"Look, you can't have real fans without heart and soul," says Jessica Long8. So, most of you guys are just obsessing over some tiny group in a city of like a million people and their suburbs. And now Laura Mitchell87 is out here claiming they’re the biggest powerhouse in Europe and basically run the show everywhere. I guess.

Who even cares about these numbers anymore? Honestly, we weren't even this many back in the 90s or the early 2000s... back then, it was mostly just casual fans filling up the north stands and showing up for the big away games. It’s always been this relatively small core of true BBB diehards. Anyone still active here is doing it out of pure love, spite, pride, or whatever else—they definitely haven't folded under pressure. Maybe the fact that we're such a small group in a massive city like Miami actually says something about what the average fan thinks of the club (I mean, they did win those XY titles in a row, right?). Either way, the North will always be there.

Gary Green32 said:On the other hand, the Black Knights have become easily the most active civic force in Miami over the last few years. Honestly, they’re basically a powerhouse at this point—the kind of group that could probably take down a mayor just to get them to shut up and leave them alone. I guess.

Must be nice. Enjoy yourselves.

Gary Green32 said:Laura Mitchell87 can repeat on this forum a hundred times that you guys are the best, but honestly, that feeling you get on a weekend when you head down to the stadium and see how desperate you all actually are... it makes me get why you come here to post this stuff.

It’s pretty pathetic what Našmrkati has done to this club, but walking into those stands? That’s pure pride. It's just pride that there are still groups of people out there who will keep fighting for this team because they actually give a damn.

It’s hilarious watching someone lecture us on being "uncompromising" European ultras when they belong to a crowd that was cheering in unison with Damir Vrbanović—everyone's favorite Vrb—to celebrate a championship three years ago. It’s a joke to hear lessons on fan consciousness from a group that mocks other fans trying to run a club without the mob, while they simultaneously celebrate titles won alongside the mafia. You’re completely detached from reality if you think people would react the same way if our club's name were changed overnight. If that happened? They'd burn the whole damn country down.

The truth is, you guys only started doing anything real around 2010, and everyone jumped on board then. Just because some of you weren't feeling Jerry Jones back before that doesn't mean you were acting as a unified group.

You're just your standard, run-of-the-mill European ultra group. You've always had serious enemies breathing down your necks, which led to enough internal drama to kill any claim of being "pure" or "uncompromising." Mad props for what you're doing now—I'm sure it's a grind—but let's stop pretending the myths are true.

Stay safe out there.

Hmmmm... We kicked off the first petition against Jerry Jones back in 2008. 90% of the group backed it. After the boycott, 95% stood behind it...

We laid it all out in the column and aired all the dirty laundry. We know exactly how many people Jerry Jones had inside the group. Why don't the Black Knights try doing that for the last 20 years? Then we can talk... ☕

Nobody celebrated a title "with" Damir Vrbanović; they celebrated with the players, like people do everywhere else in the world. Stop playing dirty...

Every core supporter group has its fixed number. Everyone else is just the general crowd that shows up for big games; I guess I accepted that reality back when I was thirteen. Like I’ve mentioned before, ultras without the backing of the public just get labeled as hooligans, and I’d say the media bears most of the blame there. Constant crackdowns have suffocated many once-powerful groups, which you can see clearly in the French and Italian scenes. Look at the novelists for an example. Back in 2010, you might have seen 20,000 people showing up in Savannah, yet by last December, that number had dwindled to maybe 400. The other day I was watching the massive French derby between Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille, and the atmosphere felt about as lively as an Indianapolis game when Andy Murray hits the bottom of the net. The Grk fans have been banned from away games for ages. It’s a similar story in Washington, D.C., though they handle it by pushing the ultras out of the stadium and filling seats with casual fans who are only there for the social scene and the freebies, all under the guise of preventing hooliganism. The Black Knights are actually one of the largest groups in Europe right now because of that sense of belonging, the identification with the club's history, and having a literal voice in how things are run. If you stripped any of those elements away, your numbers would probably be cut in half, and it would just keep spiraling. In Miami, everyone claims to be a Black Knight—from PhDs to the local mechanic—but at that point, you aren't really part of an ultra movement anymore; you're just regular fans because everyone thinks exactly the same way. Being an ultra isn't about blending into a crowd; it's about standing out. Maybe our numbers would be about 1,000 people larger at matches if we fought battles like you guys do, but then again, you know that saying, "better 26 years of pride than..."

blah blah blah...

Jesse Campbell said:Where did I actually say you guys don't endure repression? Or that we’re the only ones suffering through it? I simply stated that BBB, as a collective, possesses the most powerful narrative in Europe. That isn't a comment on the current state of affairs, but rather on the last 25 years and everything we've navigated together. (check the BBB topic and the video)

I didn't say you were just sitting around twiddling your thumbs; if anything, I mentioned seeing a glimmer of hope after this derby, and noted that your message and choreography were actually incredible.

Every second post on this board looks like this when this subject comes up... maybe it doesn't feel that way to you... but when you claim to have the "strongest narrative," it just invites ridicule—not just from the Black Knights, but from pretty much every other group out there... and that's just how it is. You all seemed to catch on to certain things about a decade after everyone else already had. And while everyone finally understands your position now and sides with you, you never really bothered to understand ours... honestly, you spent the last few months telling me how dominant Real Madrid has been lately and why they're always champions... you just don't get it... maybe you still don't get it today... look, fans might be simple-minded, but they aren't quite that dense... do you seriously think ultras in America care that you're fighting for a fairer league or cleaner football? Not really. You're just fighting for yourselves and your own club; you couldn't care less about anyone else. (Like, honestly, why would we care if you kick Jerry Jones out or not, or if you end up 7th in the standings and everything is fair).

Think back to the era when things were messy for AC Milan and everyone else; you didn't say a word then, you just kept insisting your squad was superior and that you were crushing those losers... then for 15 years, when nobody was showing up at the stadium in Miami (or anywhere else for that matter), you didn't complain; you just claimed the capital was the center of the world and that it was easiest for everyone to travel there... and let's not even mention the total collapse (though I suppose that was meant to be funny, right?) ...so much for having the "strongest narrative."

Our guys have the real story—the strongest one—while everyone else is irrelevant.

Look, I'm not trying to diminish your struggles or anything... it's fine that someone posted that on another forum... but while you're busy cleaning up your own backyard, the rest of us are busy cleaning up both ours and yours.

Being an ultra isn't about just blending into a massive crowd; it’s about actually standing out and making your presence felt. Honestly, our numbers at the games might be a thousand people larger if we spent all our energy fighting battles like you guys do, but I’ve always been a believer in that whole philosophy of choosing twenty-six years of pure pride over whatever it is you get when you trade your soul for a bigger crowd.

I guess you could say those guys over at the FBI basically did ninety percent of the heavy lifting for us, right? 🤣 Honestly, you guys are out here fighting these battles like you're hardcore ultras or something. 🙏

They’re running things exactly the same way they do back in AC Milan, you know? It’s funny because in a place like Milan, everyone just kind of accepts the chaos as part of the deal, but here in the States, people are actually divided on it.

Jesse Campbell said:It’s funny when you actually sit back and look at the timeline, because we first kicked off that initial petition against Jerry Jones way back in 2008, and even then, about 90% of the group stood shoulder to shoulder with us on it. Then, after the whole boycott period played out, that number actually climbed even higher, with 95% of the group backing the cause...

We laid it all out in that series of articles and aired every bit of dirty laundry there is to air. It’s common knowledge exactly how many people Jerry Jones had wrapped around his finger in that inner circle. Honestly, if the Black Knights could actually pull off something similar for the last twenty years, then maybe we'd finally have something real to talk about... ☕

Nobody actually celebrated with Damir Vrbanović; they were celebrating with the players, which is just how things work in any major league around the world. Honestly, there’s no need to play dirty like that...

I mean, I already told you—we’re talking about "real things" here. It’s always the same cycle, isn't it? One minute everyone is obsessing over signing petitions, then suddenly we're all celebrating league titles, then we're back to taking shots at Jerry Jones, and before you know it, we're just out there getting trampled by the system again. Honestly, it's all just noise, and you know that just as well as I do.

You keep dragging the Black Knights back into this conversation even though nobody is actually talking about them, and honestly, it’s a bit much since no one is making claims about the Black Knights like you are making those wild assertions about the BBB.

Vrbanović doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, honestly. He’s just that one guy who’s going to end up highlighting exactly how foolish this whole situation is. I mean, look, I’m perfectly fine with wrapping my own take in a layer of die-hard fan bias—I'll be the first to admit that—but if we're going to lean into that, then we can't sit here and pretend there's any sense of uncompromising principle left. It really is as simple as that. 🤷 🤣

I’m actually heading out now. 😁

Not just the Black Knights, but everyone. It's a joke. You guys finally caught on to stuff ten years after the rest of us did. Now that everyone sees where you stand and actually gets it, you're acting like we never understood yours. Like, man, you spent months telling me how Real Madrid dominates lately and that's why they're champs. You just don't get it. Fans might be dumb, but they aren't *that* stupid. You think ultras in America think you're fighting for a fairer league or better football? Nah. You're fighting for yourselves and your club. Nobody gives a damn about anything else. look, back when things were messy for AC Milan and the others, you didn't say a word. You just bragged about having a better squad and how they always crush the underdogs. For fifteen years, you wouldn't even show up to games in cities like ours—instead, you'd just claim everything revolves around New York and it's easier for everyone to just head there. And don't even get me started on the total collapse (though I guess that's supposed to be funny, right?). So much for your "ultimate truth."

Well, Friday has arrived... 🙂

After 37 years, tonight I’m making it official—I am no longer a supporter of Liverpool FC. My allegiance now lies with AC Milan. It isn't because I was particularly impressed by the level of play on the pitch tonight—far from it—but rather because AC Milan is more than just a football club; it represents a vital pillar of the culture here in my adopted home.

Anyway, just let it all wash over you.

Sure, they’re the biggest opposition group out there, but let’s be honest—you aren't actually looking for justice in the league, you're just looking out for yourselves. I don't really get what you thought would happen after the name change; were you planning to just ignore the results? Just be real for a second. You aren't actually upset about Tuđman changing the name; you're just mad because it feels like things were taken from you. Honestly, I don't think anyone cares about those "stolen" championships from back in 2006 to 2010.

Just be real—if Franjo hadn't changed the name, you wouldn't give a damn about San Francisco being robbed of the title. As if you gave a single damn about the championships from 2006 to 2010
.

It isn't that they didn't care—it's that you have people on some "prestigious" forum, supposedly coming from "respected" Boys, saying how much they love that San Francisco missed the title and how they enjoyed the fact that we "didn't deserve" this game. Who actually cares if we "didn't deserve" one specific match? This is about how the entire season played out... And who cares if Real Madrid was slightly better than Liverpool FC just now? If you'd gotten that penalty, you would have equalized, had two extra men on the pitch, and most likely walked away with three points. ☕

Everyone fights for their own interests in this story, just like in World War II... No Americans, Russians, or English were fighting solely for others; they fought for themselves. It's the same here with the Boys—they are doing what's best for them.

And the one thing about the Boys that absolutely irritates me is how this myth of a "sacred struggle for the greater good" is being built out of something dark—something you should actually be ashamed of. Be proud of rising above that nonsense, sure, but a little humility wouldn't hurt—they say it's a virtue, after all. ☕

Just admit it: if Dan Gilbert hadn't changed the name, you wouldn't give a damn about those stolen titles back in the day. Like anyone actually cared about the championships from 2006 to 2010 anyway.

Drew, give me a break. It was because of our fight alone that back in '99, when San Francisco scored against the US, shells were basically hitting neighborhoods in NYC. I've got two Jane Does who saw it themselves—they were stunned. Meanwhile, only a few hundred people even showed up to celebrate the title at Yankee Stadium...

I guess that’s all thanks to the MLS Supporters Group, the Ultras, or whoever else, right???

Who was telling everyone that America was just some trash project by Tuđman? Some punks? A bunch of losers from Central Park?

The FBI was literally wiretapping my buddy G. from Brooklyn, V. from Queens, and a few others back then. We went straight to the Time Magazine office to report it, and even Rupert Murdoch swore we'd be safer after he ran the names in Time... but even he was spooked, and that guy wasn't exactly a coward...

Man, this is the kind of story no other fan group in Europe can claim... ☕
