I dealt with two days of straight diarrhea, and now I’ve got this massive hemorrhoid popped out—like, 2-3cm huge.😲 I've never had any issues with hemorrhoids before. It isn't bleeding, but there's some discomfort every now and then. It's been a week now. Is it actually possible to jump straight to fourth-degree just from a couple of days of diarrhea? (Assuming I read that right...) And does this mean surgery is my only option? Honestly, I'm freaking out because I've never had problems until now—it's scary how fast things went from zero to the absolute worst.🙂 My stool is never hard, so diet hasn't really been an issue for me. This whole mess started because I ate something that absolutely wrecked my stomach—I was vomiting along with the diarrhea too.

I'm looking for some feedback on the General Dynamics+ RAR procedure in Washington, D.C... hoping someone might be willing to share their experience.
Who should I actually see? I've looked into Dr. Ivankovic, Dr. Kocman, and Dr. Velnić. Has anyone had a checkup or the actual procedure with one of those three lately? Or maybe a fourth option...

I went through the General Dynamics procedure in Pittsburgh—full deal, including all the checkups and the actual surgery. Total cost ended up being 227 miles (that's 300 for the surgery, plus 40 for pre-ops, and 25 for the follow-up after 21 days). It’s been 52 days since the operation and honestly, I'm still tripping out that it turned out this well... I'm stoked. Thank God and the geniuses who actually came up with this... After 15 years of pure misery, it's finally over. And honestly, it was basically free when you factor in how much I wasted on random creams, ointments, and pills over the years... not to mention the mental toll, the sleepless nights, the constant pain, and being stuck in place... you can't put a price tag on getting that life back.

I was playing it pessimistic at first, but the surgery was a total success... didn't even see the real results until about 40 days post-op...

Thanks for the reply. Any chance you could share which surgeon performed the procedure? That's pretty much the deciding factor here...

Hey everyone... I have a question. I haven't dealt with hemorrhoids in quite a while, but they've come roaring back over the last two days. About three years ago, I had a really severe flare-up and was taking Detralex to help strengthen my blood vessels... and man, it worked wonders. Everything cleared up in just two days.
Now it’s happening all over again.... the pain when I'm on the toilet is unbearable... and afterwards, I practically have to go lie down because my whole body is still shaking from the intensity of the pain for like half an hour. The worst part is that I can't take Detralex because my blood pressure is through the roof, and I'm already on Enap to help dilate my vessels for the pressure. So now I'm stuck choosing between managing my blood pressure or dealing with this, and choosing the pressure meds just makes the hemorrhoid pain even worse....
Can anyone suggest a cream, a pill, or anything else I can take that won't mess with my blood pressure?

By the way, for anyone dealing with acute hemorrhoid inflammation... Detralex... it's a powerful medication... pretty pricey too... but it truly works miracles...

Maybe try Lidoproct or Lidex—if that's what it's called now—with a lidocaine base... That will literally numb the area right out...

So, I’ve got a bit of a question... basically, for about a month and a half now, this little thing keeps popping up and then disappearing. It's like a tiny bump, maybe the size of a pea, right at the start of my anal opening... And, well, given that I'm only 16 and the thing just DISAPPEARS after a few days, is there any chance it could actually be hemorrhoids? 🙏

So, I got diagnosed with hemorrhoids about seven months ago. Since then, I’ve been messing around with Fact and Hemero protect creams, but honestly? Both of them just made everything way worse, so I finally called it quits on the ointments. I also tried halfway changing my diet, which sucks because I basically live for the kind of food I’m supposed to avoid now... I guess. And yeah, yesterday I started trying these olive oil and chamomile compresses, hoping maybe they’ll actually help for once...

Hi there! I’m going to try posting this here as well—I would really appreciate any advice someone might have.

For about two months now, I’ve been dealing with this unbearable itching around my anal area. Occasionally, I notice a tiny bit of blood when I go to the bathroom, but it’s very minimal and happens quite rarely. I suspect I have hemorrhoids, and I likely have a fissure as well. I’ve tried just about everything to manage this itching. At first, it only happened at night, but now it’s constant throughout the day. It’s most intense at night and right after I shower—even though I try to wash the area with just water and no soap—but the itching persists regardless.

The only slight relief comes after I dry off and apply some cream, but then the stinging and itching start up again—it honestly feels like something is crawling on my skin... that’s how strange it is. It truly drives you crazy.

I tried using Fact, but it didn't help; if anything, it seemed to make things worse. I’ve gone through olive oil, Modolex, aloe vera—basically everything I could think of or read about—but nothing seems to work. The only thing that provides even a modicum of relief is calendula gel... though even that only lasts for maybe two or three hours before the cycle starts all over again.

I already had a swab test done for parasites, and that came back negative. Now, I’m just waiting to get an appointment scheduled with a proctologist, but until then, I have no idea how I’m going to endure this—it is absolutely unbearable!!!

Could it be yeast? I honestly don't know... or perhaps an allergy, since the irritation seems to be spreading beyond just the immediate area.

Is it actually possible for hemorrhoids to itch this much? They aren't really painful, except maybe occasionally during a bowel movement or if the area is touched, but otherwise, there's no pain!

The itching gets even more intense right after I use the bathroom... it's just terrible. 😢 I genuinely don't know if it will stay this way, or how I'm going to cope with all of this.

Best,

So, for about two months now, I've been dealing with this absolutely brutal itching around my anal area. Every once in a while after using the bathroom, I’ll notice a tiny bit of blood, but it's really minimal and happens super rarely. I'm thinking it's probably hemorrhoids. I also think I've got some fissures going on. I've tried pretty much everything under the sun to stop the itching. At first, it was just a nighttime thing, but now it's constant throughout the day. It gets the worst at night and right when I'm showering—that's when it hits hardest. Even though I try to be careful and just use plain water without any soap to clean the area, the itching still won't quit.

The only thing that gives me even a moment of relief is applying cream after drying off, but then the stinging and itching just kick back in. Honestly, it feels like there's something crawling around down there... that's the only way I can describe it. It's enough to drive a person insane.

I tried using Fact, but it didn't help; if anything, it felt like it made things even worse. Olive oil, Modolex, aloe vera—I've thrown every little thing at it that I could find online or thought might work, but nothing changes. The only thing that actually offers any temporary relief is calendula gel... but even that only lasts maybe two or three hours before the whole cycle starts all over again.

Maybe it's yeast, like Candida!? I really don't know... or maybe it's some kind of allergy, since the irritation seems to be spreading out from the immediate area.

Is it even possible for hemorrhoids to itch this much?? They don't really hurt, except maybe occasionally when I'm on the toilet or if I touch the area, but otherwise, no pain at all!

And the itching gets even more intense right after I go to the bathroom... It's just awful.😢 I genuinely don't know if it's going to stay this bad, or how I'm supposed to endure this...

Take care!

It definitely makes sense to check for a yeast infection in your stool (and maybe urine, too).
You might also want to look into tweaking your diet—cutting back significantly on highly refined carbs can make a huge difference.
I'm assuming you've at least had some basic lab work done?

Using calendula products (like ointments or gels) along with some propolis ointment can really take the edge off for some people, so it's worth giving those a shot.

Best,

Ugh, I feel like I've answered similar questions before, so I'll just repeat myself for you... When hemorrhoids are in the early stages, or even later once the inflammation begins to subside and those micro-lesions (tiny cuts or abrasions) start healing, they can itch intensely. Honestly, itching is better than pain, because once it starts hurting, you'll regret being born. Now, whether there is something else going on alongside the hemorrhoids, I can't say for sure, but I'll say it again: as hemorrhoids heal, the itching can be brutal. Try creams containing corticosteroids or lidocaine... your doctor will give you the specifics once you see them for your exam...

When you're dealing with hemorrhoids in those early stages—or even a little later once the initial inflammation starts to settle down and those tiny micro-tears begin to heal—they can honestly itch like crazy. Honestly, though, I'd take the itching over the actual pain any day; if it starts hurting, you're basically questioning every life choice that led you to this moment. Now, whether there's something else going on alongside the hemorrhoids, I couldn't possibly know, but again—once that swelling dies down, the itching can be absolutely brutal... You might want to look into some creams that have corticosteroids or maybe lidocaine in them ... But you really need to get the specifics from whatever doctor you end up seeing for an exam...

Whatever you do, don't go slapping corticosteroid cream on the perianal area without checking in with a real doctor first!

My doctor deals with similar issues herself, and after I developed hemorrhoids from spending way too much time bouncing around on a long bus ride, she suggested using a chamomile-based ointment. She actually wrote me a prescription for Faktu, but I decided to hold off on that and try the chamomile route first. Honestly, just using some standard Balea lotion infused with chamomile—applying it liberally—does the trick. Chamomile is fantastic for soothing things, and the cream itself helps soften the tissue so it doesn't tear as easily.

On top of that, I ordered an Anuice device online ( and found that to be quite helpful as well...

Now, I wouldn't say I have massive problems with this, but whenever I feel a bit of stinging afterward, I immediately apply the chamomile, and they never seem to flare up again.

Those creams work wonders for hemorrhoids, but I have to stress—that’s only if you’re dealing with hemorrhoids alone... If there's something else going on, it's better not to play around... That's why sticking with a lidocaine-based formula is a safe bet... If it's just hemorrhoids, go for it, but if there's a fungal issue involved, that changes everything. That's why I suggest Lidoproct or something similar...

My primary care physician actually prescribed me Beloderm mast (betamethasone, which is a corticosteroid) for that exact reason.

The instructions say:

Do not apply Beloderm mast:

...

- for treating ... genital or perianal itching...

It doesn't even include a "unless otherwise directed by your doctor" clause or anything like that.

So much for consulting with a professional...

I’m assuming at least some basic lab work has been done?

Niven products (like the ointment or gel), along with some propolis ointment, can really take the edge off these symptoms for certain people, so those options are worth exploring.

Thanks everyone for the input. I’ve read that you shouldn't scratch... but honestly, how am I supposed to stop when the itching is absolutely maddening? I end up causing little abrasions myself, which just makes the itching even worse, but I just can't help it!

The doctor basically just took a quick look (prescribed Faktu, gave some advice—suggesting olive oil, butter, etc.) and handed me a referral for a specialist. Now I'm just waiting for them to call me in, though I hear the wait times for an appointment can stretch on for months.😢

She also suspected pinworms or maybe a fungal issue... I did run some tests for parasites, but everything came back negative. So, we'll see. The worst part is hearing people say their specialist just prescribed suppositories or some random ointment. If that's all there is to it, I could just do that myself without the hassle of an appointment. I'm just hoping for a real solution, then we'll see.

I'll give the propolis a shot... Thanks. 🙂

Michael Diaz4... I don't think my situation is settling down. In the beginning, I had similar issues—some pain here and there—but never this kind of itching. It only started about a month or two ago, and now the itching won't go away no matter what. 😢

Thanks for all the advice!

So, you aren't even sure if it's just hemorrhoids...? Do you actually have swollen hemorrhoids at all?

What part of my post made you think I don't know what's going on? My doctor actually suggested a stool sample to check for parasites—she's worried there might be a fungal issue involved since the itching is just relentless. That’s really the main issue here! To be fair, I do have some other symptoms too... some bleeding and discomfort during bowel movements, but that happens so rarely it's almost negligible compared to this constant itch.

I'm heading out tomorrow to pick up some propolis; hopefully, that helps ease things a bit.

Best,

I see. So it sounds like it might just be hemorrhoids then... Just try not to touch or scratch them. Maybe a little if you absolutely have to, but be careful not to cause any damage. How much are they protruding? Based on what you're saying, it feels like it could be third or fourth degree...?
