Anyone else dealing with a constant urge to pee because of hemorrhoids?

So, I dealt with my first bout of hemorrhoids and an external thrombosed one, and things were actually pretty chill until November when another one popped up. I was honestly bracing myself for another thrombosis, but since I knew the drill, I played it smart and just used cold water therapy during showers, and after about two weeks, everything calmed down without even needing ointments. But here’s the kicker: for the last month, I’ve been feeling this super frequent urge to urinate. It doesn't hurt, and nothing feels "off" in terms of pain, but there's this constant, nagging sensation that I need to go, which is driving me absolutely nuts. I don't think it's a bladder infection or anything, but I haven't hit up a doctor about it yet. Is it possible that swollen hemorrhoids could be putting enough pressure on the prostate to cause this?

Honestly, even though my symptoms aren't super severe yet, this whole hemorrhoid situation is getting on my nerves big time. It really messes with my head, especially because I can't wrap my brain around why modern medicine just treats the symptoms instead of actually curing the root cause. Like, how is it that we can't permanently fix this? We live in an era where they can practically transplant brains, swap out limbs, and I heard about a case over at the Mayo Clinic where they performed a bone transplant just ten days after an accident, yet for this specific issue—based on all the endless threads I've read on American forums and elsewhere—there seems to be no real solution. It’s honestly bizarre.

Hey everyone. If you’re dealing with some serious butt pain and just want some relief while sitting down, listen up.
I picked up this cushion.
https://www.amazon.com/pressure-relief-cushion/example

Honestly, this thing is a lifesaver. They’ve got a bunch of different versions out there—inflatable ones, water-filled ones, memory foam, even these specialized sponge cushions like the one I'm using right now.

I've dealt with hemorrhoids for years, but they’ve never been a huge deal—they flare up occasionally, but they usually settle down pretty quickly. However, a few days ago, while checking things out, I felt this hard little lump about the size of a small pea, separate from my usual hemorrhoid issues. It doesn't hurt when I touch it, but it's definitely worrying since I've never felt anything like this before. Has anyone else dealt with something similar? I picked up some Preparation H at the pharmacy and have been applying it, but so far, nothing has changed. Usually, my flare-ups subside within a couple of days, but I have no idea what this new thing is; this hard little bump is really getting to me. There's no bleeding, no itching, and it isn't changing in size. I've been scrolling through old posts, but I can't figure out if anyone actually discusses this specific issue. Does anyone happen to know what this could be?

So, does absolutely nobody else here deal with a hard lump right next to a hemorrhoid?

I did. I already saw my doctor, and it turns out it’s a thrombosed hemorrhoid.

What else can actually be done about this bleeding? I’ve got this small external hemorrhoid—looks like grade 2—and I already went in for an exam. It’s such a tiny little bump that I don't get why no cream or pill seems to make it vanish. Honestly, there aren't any other symptoms—no pain, no itching, nothing bothers me. The only issue is that when I go to the bathroom, it cracks and bleeds—pretty much every single time. I've wasted so much money on creams and tablets; I feel like I've tried nearly everything from the local pharmacy to stuff online... the only thing that helps is taking a dose of Advil 500 mg, which stops the bleeding for maybe 2 or 3 days, but once it returns, we're right back where we started. It's driving me crazy. My hygiene is top-notch and I'm using the creams, but it feels useless. Maybe my diet could be better—I'll admit that. I stay away from soda, but damn, I love my beer, and I drink it daily. No other alcohol. I have a drawer full of creams, and it feels like I'm just applying them for nothing. If it doesn't crack, there's no blood—so I know it isn't coming from the inside. I can see exactly where it's happening when I wipe; the blood pulses right from the spot, almost like an artery.
The doctor told me to just adjust my lifestyle habits and it might clear up—said it's not an emergency surgery... and honestly, I'm terrified of surgery.
Does anyone have any actual advice on what else to try? The bleeding during bowel movements is the only real problem...

Do you think what you're dealing with can be fixed with a simple ligation, or are we talking full-on surgery like Milligan Morgan or LHP, DG HAL RAR?

It could happen—but hospitals around here don't really practice that since it's supposedly unreliable... or so I've been told.

Maybe ask a herbalist or someone who makes natural salves—they'll know.
Once you find out, let us know here. 😉

Just circling back to update you—even if it's 9 months late. 😅
Nothing worked. I finally decided to just handle it cosmetically—it wasn't expensive, and it actually helped me quite a bit. 🙂

Last night was a total disaster... basically an explosion in the bathroom
first time this year
it hasn't even been six months since the last one, if I'm keeping track right

what's the common denominator? popcorn, maybe
I’m starting to think it’s the popcorn...
plus, my diet has been a mess lately—just shoving everything in my face
otherwise, I've been on this intense fasting and weight loss kick for nearly half a year now
I can't really complain about being overweight anymore
since I'm sitting at 194 pounds, whereas I used to be around 227

I just applied some Preparation H and called it a day
we'll see how things play out

Can hemorrhoids actually cause narrow stools? For the last three months, I’ve been dealing with this constant itching—it’s honestly driving me crazy—and nothing seems to touch it, whether I try different creams or even taking pills?

Has anyone here actually had surgery for a perianal thrombosed hemorrhoid? How long did it take for the swelling to go down and everything to fully heal up?

I've got a question here
How does waste actually infect the body through a hemorrhoid when it starts bleeding?

I was wondering if anyone here could help me out with some information... for those of you dealing with hemorrhoids or an anal fissure, do you ever get that sensation of something being stuck right at the rectal opening? In my case, the feeling is mostly concentrated on the left side. I’m not entirely sure if that's a typical symptom of a hemorrhoid, and honestly, I'm a bit worried it might be a prolapse—though nothing is actually protruding outward. Has anyone else experienced this?
Given the whole situation, I don't see myself being able to make it in to see the doctor anytime soon.

Arthur Hall25 said:Hello everyone. I wanted to take a moment to explain my situation. I’m 31 years old, and for about the last six to eight months, I’ve been noticing something unusual. Occasionally, after using the restroom and wiping, I’ll feel what seems like a small sac protruding from my anus. At the time, I just assumed it was a hemorrhoid. It wasn't painful, it didn't itch, and there was no bleeding, so I didn't give it much thought—especially since it only seemed to happen after a bowel movement, and even then, not every single time. However, a few days ago, I noticed that this "sac" has increased significantly in size, and now it remains present even after I've finished in the bathroom. It’s such an unsettling sensation—that nagging discomfort down there, almost like there's a tiny pebble constantly rubbing against you. Have you ever experienced anything quite like it? It’s hard to focus on anything else when that constant irritation is present. Once again, there hasn't been any actual pain, bleeding, burning, or itching, but that persistent, uncomfortable sensation is really starting to get under my skin. Since it happened, I’ve found myself diving deep into this thread and doing quite a bit of research on my own. Looking in the mirror, I can clearly see what looks like a small "sac" near the anal area. Based on what I've gathered so far, am I looking at an external hemorrhoid, or is this actually an internal one that has prolapsed? I actually tried to push it back in, but I couldn't quite manage it. How much pressure is actually required? Is it something that should pop back in on the first try, or does it take five, ten attempts? I've also become much more meticulous about hygiene lately—using wet wipes, showering immediately after using the restroom—and I even picked up some cream. Though, I have to wonder, how much sense does applying cream actually make if I don't have any other symptoms to treat, aside from just having... well, something down there? To be honest, since I haven't performed a visual inspection before this, I have no idea how long this has been sitting there. Did it used to slip back in on its own after a bowel movement and now it's staying out, or has it been protruding for a while now? Is this definitely a hemorrhoid, or could it be something else? The lump itself isn't particularly soft or hard, and it doesn't hurt when I touch it. As far as my digestion goes, things have always been regular; I almost never deal with constipation or any other issues. In fact, my diet over the last year has been better than ever. I eat everything—plenty of vegetables, fresh cheese, eggs—and I've actually lost a few pounds. I exercise regularly through fitness training, so overall, I feel great and very healthy. I am aware that my hemorrhoids might have been triggered somewhat by the exercise, but stopping my workouts is simply not an option; the benefits I get from training far outweigh any potential downsides. I don't lift extreme weights—my max is around my own body weight (about 200 lbs)—and I mostly stick to bodyweight exercises. That said, I do have a sedentary job where I spend most of my day sitting, though I stay quite active at home, especially during the summer.

What should my next move be, and how long should I realistically wait for this thing to settle down? Is there any chance this isn't actually a hemorrhoid, but perhaps something else—maybe a perianal hematoma? That seems more plausible to me. After all, what are the odds that I’ve reached stage four, where a hemorrhoid prolapses and can no longer be manually reduced, especially when I'm not experiencing any other symptoms?

Hey everyone, how are you all holding up right now? Did you end up making it to the doctor's office, and if so, what was the verdict? I have to say, that symptom from two days ago—the one I put in bold—is something I'm dealing with too, and honestly, it's driving me absolutely crazy. 😵

Steven Castillo82 said:Hey, looking for some advice and help here.

I've been dealing with internal hemorrhoids for about 7 or 8 years now. It hasn't been too bad until recently—they used to show up once or twice a year and clear up quickly. They’ve always bled, though, and were often painful.

About a month and a half ago, I actually had to start using ointment and suppositories because the pain and bleeding got intense. I'm assuming things have escalated.

Faktu actually helped for a few days, and everything was fine until about 10 days ago when the agony started again—and it hasn't stopped. Basically, bowel movements are painful, there's bleeding, and it's just miserable. I've been applying Faktu for a week after using the bathroom, but nothing is helping. A few days ago I switched to Preparation H, but it's no better.
After I go, I just lie down; the pain lasts about 7 to 10 hours depending on the day. Walking helps a little, but I'm too exhausted to get anything productive done.

I think the root causes might be my lack of movement, sitting too much, my diet, and chronic weird digestion—periods of long diarrhea followed by hard stools. I'm not overweight.
My digestion is okay right now—I go every day between 11 AM and noon, which has been consistent all year—but the issue is the beginning of the stool.😁 It's always rock hard at first, which tears everything up, ruining whatever manages to heal overnight.

My questions:

-What can I do so the entire stool is soft, specifically to stop that hard part at the start?

-What should I eat generally, and what should I avoid?

-Any specific meds? Should I take Pilex tablets—yes or no?

-In this state, is it better to lie down or stay moving, like walking or standing?

-Which doctor or clinic should I visit? I want someone legitimate, not scammers just trying to drain my wallet. Money isn't an issue.

I want to fix this once and for all, or at least for a good while.
The problem is my job—nobody can cover for me, so I have to push through at least until New Year's, ideally until Easter, before considering any kind of surgery or procedure.

Help please! Thanks!

Sorry, you didn't specify a single thing about your diet. If you're living on dry food, fast food, pastries from a bakery, skipping meals, or if coffee, smoking, and drinking on an empty stomach play a role—well, the biggest culprit is usually a lack of home-cooked food, fiber, and veggies. You'll feel it very quickly.

Back in my twenties, I used to get this exact same thing due to messy eating habits. When they flared up, it was always because of dry, hard food and those hard starts to bowel movements. Usually, they would gradually recede once I regulated my digestion, though sometimes they'd linger for a week.

Chicken soup and light pasta were my fastest way to recover. In the mornings, I’d force myself to eat bananas and drink at least half a liter of liquid yogurt—no less. Yogurt was the quickest way to soften things up for me, and bananas helped reset my digestion. If you can manage a full liter, even better. If your current diet is causing this, stop immediately and don't mess around; it can turn into something much more serious.
You need to eat regular, cooked meals. Yogurt was my instant fix to get digestion back on track, followed by bananas, vegetables, and lightly cooked meat. Avoid bread, fried stuff, or anything processed.

Hey,
I stumbled onto this thread while looking for something else entirely. Man, I’ve been dealing with massive issues with hemorrhoids for the last two years. Every single month, they’d flare up and just wouldn't quit. I tried everything—watching my diet like a hawk, testing out all sorts of creams from all over the place. Finally, my doctor put me on Advil 500 mg and it was like magic. It's been eight months now and they haven't come back once, and honestly, I don't even bother watching what I eat or drink anymore.

Hey everyone. I signed up because I can't seem to find any decent info anywhere.

1. How much does hemorrhoid banding—or ligation, if you want to be fancy—actually cost?
I'm originally from Canada, but I assume prices are pretty similar here in the States.

2. Is there anything to help relax the anal sphincter muscles besides those injections I keep reading about online🙄? Ever since my first hemorrhoid flared up, the whole area feels constantly cramped and tight. It doesn't hurt, but it feels tense whenever I touch it.

I used to get a hemorrhoid once a year; it would clear up fast, wouldn't hurt much, didn't bleed, and just went away with some ointments. But after this last inflammation, it hasn't gone back down. It’s just been sitting there for months. No pain, but this little lump is annoying for hygiene reasons and looks bad, so I'm constantly trying not to irritate it. I've tried every cream and ointment out there—Advil, Pilex, you name it—just to get it to shrink, but I think this might be permanent. To me, it feels more like excess skin now.

I'm not exactly rolling in cash to pay for lasers or freezing treatments, but I really want this fixed.

Hey there—so, after dealing with hemorrhoids for about two months now, I’ve noticed my bowel movements aren't coming out in one solid piece anymore. It’s usually more like 3, 4, or maybe 5 separate pieces—just nothing all at once. It happens pretty regularly every morning, and I haven't seen any blood or anything like that, thankfully. Has anyone else dealt with stuff like this after having hemorrhoids?
