So, here’s my experience. I’ve actually gone through external hemorrhoid surgery twice now, and man, it hurts. I tried doing everything by the book—avoiding sitting on cold surfaces, staying away from spicy food, you name it. But it turns out the issue was actually linked to high stomach acid, which just gets worse whenever I’m stressed out. I mean, I could probably be a total pushover at this point. I tried taking Pilex tablets, but they didn't really do much for me; the symptoms just kept coming back. I also went through about a hundred different types of creams and ointments, but nothing seemed to stick. Then, my wife heard about this natural remedy. She takes a spoonful of lard and mixes it with five to eight calendula flowers—they can be fresh or dried—and lets it simmer gently for maybe an hour or two. Once it's pressed and cooled down, you just apply it to the painful area, and it works wonders. I even went out and bought 20kg of beeswax! She would melt it all together until it had the consistency of a store-bought cream. For me, it worked perfectly. It’s been three years now and I haven't had any issues. Thank God. I’m just happy if this helps anyone else out there. (Thank you, dear, and may the angels watch over you)

Michael Diaz4, thanks for the comfort—really helped knowing it's normal for it to itch... But honestly, for the last two nights around 3 or 4 AM, this unbearable itching wakes me right up. I have to get out of bed and I'm just lost on what to do... It feels like the itching is actually worse than the pain. For the pain, you just take a pill, but for the itch 🤷 I try using cold compresses... though the fact is, they seem to make it worse... it’s pure misery. I just finished a 10-day course of antibiotics yesterday, and I feel better, except I still can't fully get things back to normal and I'm dealing with this itching... If I can pull through this without surgery, I was planning to head to the doctor toward the end of the year, stay inpatient for a month, and come out a new man...
Since my first symptom—a little blood on the toilet paper—I've been dealing with this for 10 years. This is my second flare-up, so I'm thinking maybe I can dodge the surgery this time too... 🙂

You aren't going to be able to push them back in. The only way is for the inflammation to subside completely so they shrink a bit... You can live like this for a while. Honestly, if things calm down, you might even forget about the hemorrhoids for a bit... but then they'll come back in a nasty way. And when they do, you'll have to face the surgery. I've been through all of this before... For the first few years, it was exactly like what you described... and then everything just started going downhill...

Thanks, Michael Diaz4—your posts actually feel somewhat comforting. Honestly, if I pull through this and everything goes according to plan, I wouldn't want to wait around for things to get complicated again...
Anyway, this diet is killing me. Are you on one right now, or are you just eating whatever you want?

Can someone please give me an answer here:
If I spend basically a month sitting for at least 6 hours a day straight with my nose in a textbook, and then suddenly deal with this stinging sensation, constipation, and blood on the toilet paper, am I looking at hemorrhoids? Is it actually possible to get them just from sitting for too long?
Because once I avoid sitting for about a week, everything clears up until my next marathon study session starts... (so I'm assuming it's nothing serious...)

Everything feels normal, like I never even had those hemorrhoids in the first place...

Does anyone know how long it takes for hemorrhoids to actually subside after a DG-HAL procedure? It’s been nearly a month since my surgery and nothing feels different than before. Either the procedure wasn't done right, or I'm part of that 5% failure rate.

It has been nearly a month since my surgery, yet everything feels exactly as it did before the operation; I am left wondering if the procedure was performed incorrectly or if I simply fall into that unfortunate 5% failure rate.

That is certainly a valid concern to have. Your only recourse at this stage is to schedule a follow-up appointment with your doctor. In the meantime, please provide me with some detail regarding the course of the procedure while the experience is still fresh in your mind, and let me know which facility you used for the surgery!

Alright, I figured I’d chime in and share my own struggles with hemorrhoids—maybe if someone here has dealt with something similar, they can point me in the right direction.
The first time I noticed anything was back when I was in my early twenties. I think maybe a vein just gave way or something; there was this light trickle of blood whenever I was straining.
After that, things were quiet for a long while. It wasn't until during the war that the issues started creeping back. Just a little blood on the toilet paper, nothing crazy. No pain, just some staining on my underwear. At the time, I just chalked it up to a bad diet and the general messiness of wartime living—sleeping on concrete floors, poor hygiene, that kind of thing.
Nowadays, the symptoms have shifted. It doesn't really hurt and it doesn't itch; my bowel movements are regular, there's no bleeding, and I rarely see any blood on the paper.
Reading through everyone else's posts and seeing the sheer misery you all go through, I’d say my situation is pretty minor by comparison. But that’s just how life works—especially when you're dealing with health stuff; you always end up thinking your problem is the biggest one out there.
I have external hemorrhoids that aren't massive, but they stay damp. It’s a sort of slimy sensation, so my issue is more about hygiene than anything else. Honestly, I can't get through the day without those thin sanitary pads.
If I don't wear one, I end up soaking my underwear and my skin, which is incredibly annoying. It’s just a clear, odorless fluid—basically mucus from the bowel. I’m actually a bit hesitant to go to the doctor; more
it’s embarrassment than actual fear. Some days the pad stays dry, and I’ll get a brief moment of optimism thinking I’m in the clear, but it never lasts long. I don't drink much—maybe two or three shots of brandy with a friend twice a month at most. I smoke less than a pack a day and stick to about two coffees daily. Generally, I lead a pretty disciplined life. My job involves both standing and sitting—I work in a warehouse, so it's not grueling, I walk quite a bit, and I ride my bike for exercise. That's about it.
I’ve tried the whole gamut: creams, capsules, herbal teas. I once dropped money on some expensive capsules—can't even remember the name now—but they were a total waste of cash. These days, I don't fall for those flashy advertisements for miracle pills or supplements anymore.
If anyone on this forum finds themselves in the same boat, please, let me know how you handled it.

I have a follow-up appointment in about two weeks, so I will see then. As for the procedure itself, you won't even realize it happening because they put you under anesthesia; you just wake up when it's over. It hurts for about a week, but it isn't a big deal. I was operated on at the butterfly ??? clinic.

So, regarding the cost there... since it's under general anesthesia... how much did you end up paying? And do they happen to offer any kind of discount, perhaps??
Hey there!!🙂

Just hang in there a bit longer. It can seriously take up to two months before things actually subside...
If you don't mind me asking, shoot me a private message and let me know which clinic you went to.

I was just scrolling through today’s edition of The Evening News, and they ran this piece titled “Hemorrhoids – Unpleasant, Yet Easily Treatable.” It talks all about using the DG-HAL method to deal with hemorrhoids and claims the folks over at Arithera Clinic have been having great success with it. Has anyone here actually gone through that procedure at Arithera Clinic? I’d love to hear some real-world experiences—what was the recovery like? Also, does anyone know what the damage to the wallet looks like? Is it truly as effective as the article makes it out to be? Thanks!

Hi,

So, I've been dealing with this for about two weeks now. Every time I have a hard bowel movement, there's blood on the toilet paper and a sharp, stinging pain right at the exit.
It only happens when things are tough; if it’s soft, there’s no blood and no pain.

My primary care doctor thinks it's just hemorrhoids and prescribed some hemorrhoid cream, but honestly, it isn't doing much. At my follow-up, she suggested it might be a small tear that hasn't healed yet and told me to keep applying it.

Has anyone else gone through something similar?

Also, am I supposed to just apply the cream to the outside, or should I actually use a finger to put it inside?

That's pretty standard, man... And don't just wipe; you need to actually wash up. You should apply the cream inside as well.

Look, I’ve been washing up after every bathroom trip for years now; that part isn't the issue.
How deep are we talking? Honestly, the idea of having to shove my fingers into my anus makes me want to gag. ☕

Just a heads-up, please send any pricing info via PM. If you start posting prices out in the open, it could be flagged as advertising, and we definitely don't want anyone getting hit with sanctions for that.

Dennis Castillo2 said:At the beginning of December, I underwent the DG HAL RAR procedure. Before that, I dealt with bleeding, prolapse, and pain intermittently for over 10 years, which became constant and heavy leading up to the surgery. For the first month following the procedure, everything seemed perfectly fine. Later on, however, the prolapse returned, though the pain was much milder, and there were two instances of blood on the toilet paper. After a follow-up with the surgeon and some time passing, I requested a repeat of the procedure. It has been 15 days since the most recent intervention. This time, they performed the DG HAL RAR and even made an incision on part of the prolapse (the soft thrombus). I am hopeful that there won't be a recurrence this time. I will share more updates as they come...

Hello to everyone on the forum...

I am curious about how that prolapse manifested itself? My primary care physician mentioned that, besides hemorrhoids, it is highly likely that I have experienced intestinal prolapse as well. I am currently waiting for an appointment with a proctologist, so I would love to learn as much as possible beforehand. It looks like I might be facing a more demanding surgery too...
