However, once I saw him making fun of the guys who were genuinely putting in the work to support the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, I lost all respect for him. He earned my criticism, along with plenty from others who saw through his act. ☕

😲 It’s truly sad if that’s the case!

the biggest problems facing our group are:

-misunderstandings
-lack of respect
-individual egos
-clashing subgroup egos
-fake sense of unity
-backstabbing
-poor communication
-a lack of common sense
-duplicity and hypocrisy
-lies
-misrepresentation
-betrayal
-treachery

So why bother with the window dressing??

Everything looks perfect... in the photos.

The first step toward fixing this is actually admitting it.☕

He really rubbed me the wrong way, and I know I wasn't the only one feeling that level of disgust towards him. ☕

just more of that same old southern mentality.

Annual meetings... what a joke. It’s always the same two or three people doing all the talking while everyone else just sits there in dead silence, even when you call them out directly.
That’s why on this forum, everyone suddenly becomes an expert on everything and everyone, shouting their opinions into the void whether anyone actually asked or not.

That’s why this forum is actually useful; everybody has an opinion on everything and everyone, and they’ll air it out whether anyone actually asked for it or not.

If you actually notify more people about the meeting, then you'll finally have someone to talk to. If it's just the same handful of faces over and over again, there isn't even a point in holding the meeting in the first place... honestly, most of these people posting on the forum probably weren't even invited to the last one...

Me, giving updates? Please. I haven't even shown up to the last ten meetings. There isn't much to say, really. Everything's already been decided, so I’m just going along with it—I have faith in these guys and what they’re trying to do. When I actually have something worth saying, I'll find a way to tell the people who need to hear it, right to their faces.

You just sit there waiting for an invite, crossing your arms, spitting on the forum, and crying for a participation trophy.

And where would you go?? ☕ Stick to the forum; it's clearly more than your brain can handle...

Look, I wasn't suggesting that you personally were responsible for notifying everyone; it's common sense that any notice regarding group meetings should come from the official channels. And for the record, I'm not "spitting on the younger fans" nor am I "crying for a trophy." My personal take is simply that the whole process should have been handled differently—with much more dignity than how it actually went down. In the end, it's our young players who suffer most, and they are the ones we need to support most right now. In my opinion, those kids and Liverpool FC should be the absolute priorities in our lives as supporters. 😉

"Great cheering," they say, all the time? Seriously? Which games were you guys even attending??
Look, we’re sitting there at 0-0 against Austin FC, people are singing some cheesy anthem in the 80th minute, and then the leader starts cracking jokes with the crowd right after we take the lead—is that actually normal?? The real issue is that Lekić only has authority over the casual fans and the general public. The NFL Ultras have basically turned into a neighborhood block party; we aren't a real group anymore. Now, we're back to square one. I’m not part of the core inner circle or the leadership, but I’m backing them—because anyone with half a brain should be doing the exact same thing. When Liverpool FC plays an away game in a small town like Des Moines, there’s no presence from the Ultras because Lekić hasn't shown up yet—even though Obišen is a powerhouse and the first guy to show up—and then the second he arrives, everyone spontaneously starts chanting his name. I don't think I've ever seen this much focus shifted onto one single person in the history of the Ultras. It’s honestly pathetic and embarrassing. I’ll give him credit for certain things, sure, but he can’t just spend his whole life standing by the goalposts.

And for the record, I distinctly remember people trashing Lekić on the forums when he first took over the cheering... everyone was nitpicking and asking why some blonde kid wasn't leading the chants...

even back during the old days, the meeting situation was the same. they'd invite key reps from every active crew. there's no point calling out random individuals who don't even run a squad—if they did, you'd have over 200 people in one room and nothing would ever get decided...🤷

I’m hearing this sentiment more and more lately, so I’ve got to ask: since when were we actually a "group"? Which specific season were we that elite unit you're talking about instead of just some crowd having a good time?

Best,

I am honestly sick to death of seeing these kinds of moronic posts.

God help me, is this really some doctor from a major university medical center—which is actually a pretty significant channel for fan communication—leaving a comment claiming we aren't even a real group? 🙂

I'm not saying it didn't happen, I'm just saying I can't remember if it did because it doesn't feel real to me.
But since you're bringing this up, why don't you tell me which match was actually better?

Let me throw one out there that just popped into my head...

Small game, back in 2010, maybe 3,500 people in the stands, Liverpool FC completely out of title contention, absolute madness.

The first thing that popped into my head—just looking at the average age in the stands, the drum setups, how organized everything was, stuff like that.
Ever since some of the core crews backed off, everything has basically been riding on one guy’s shoulders. And yeah, that includes your video section and a million other little things, not even counting all the rest.
That 2006/07 season specifically... man, that was legendary, based on what I hear anyway, since I was way too young back then. Mexico, Italy—we didn't miss a beat anywhere. I think that trip to Russia was the real turning point.🤷

God damn it, are you serious? This is a PhD candidate at a major university who happens to be a huge part of our fan communication network, and you’re gonna drop a comment like "we aren't a group" and stuff?🙂

So what, are you supposed to just avoid the forum or start a whole new thread about it? I don't know, but for me, this forum is a way to vent my frustration and dissatisfaction with the state of our group. Obviously, I'm keeping it within reasonable limits—not naming names or getting into anything too heavy—but honestly, I'm not writing anything here that isn't already obvious to everyone on the outside.

Yeah, you've got a point, that was a hell of a game. But if I remember right, it wasn't really a massive show until the guys in the lower tier started that whole coordinated bit with the lighters—one side doing one thing, the other side doing another—and then the whole East Stand joined in. But looking at the averages, even though there were a few five-minute lulls, I'd say the North Stand was more consistently loud, though this game against that team from St. Louis was definitely top-tier.

Once I'm old enough to actually walk up to someone like zmu and tell them straight to their face that their behavior is bothering me—or even just let them know I appreciate what they do—then maybe I'll start taking action. But until then? I’m perfectly fine just sitting here being a wise guy on these forums!

I think you’ve got it all wrong—if you’ve actually spent a few years sitting in the stands, why wouldn't you just state your own take on the situation?😉

Let’s not get carried away here. If the younger crowd actually listens and respects someone for speaking their mind without a filter, then that’s just what defines the Black Knights.

Exactly right.👍

God, I didn't even realize I hadn't hit edit.🤣

The first part still stands.
