Karen Rodriguez3 said:I didn't mean to offend anyone, and honestly, I don't think I even did. Maybe I just phrased things weirdly, I guess.😕
If I said all this stuff today feels like being back in grade school or dealing with some playground drama, well, maybe it does. At least that's how it looks to me.
But why, though?
Look, I agree with a whole bunch of what you guys said, but I also don't think any of it is actually right. There's definitely stuff I'm not on board with. If I actually felt like getting into a whole debate about it, I probably would. Maybe.
I haven't been around since yesterday, so I've got no clue what went down. I guess I missed the whole thing.
So, Klonka is finally out of the picture. Most people seemed to be on the same page regarding Lastan, too. But honestly? It’s just one thing after another. People are still constantly opening threads, whining, and just waiting around. There are endless announcements about things turning gray, and it feels like people are straight-up ignoring the rules on purpose—even after that Smartin post and those pleas from Africa. It just keeps happening.
So, what was actually gained from that? I mean, seriously.
I mean, couldn't someone have just come over here and started a bunch of different threads with all those questions right from the jump? Just a thought, I guess.
I mean, I think you get what I'm saying—it wasn't really about people bringing up banned users during the Gutanje sessions. It was more about the vibe of the comments themselves, I guess. Just how people were talking, you know?

Just to be clear, my take on this has absolutely nothing to do with any specific woman on this forum. I mean, sure, I might have brought up some older posts in previous threads, but that’s it. No one here has actually rubbed me the wrong way or anything.
Look, I honestly think debates and having different opinions is a good thing. I've never really made an issue out of it, and I definitely don't go around ignoring people on other threads just because we didn't see eye-to-eye on one topic—especially when I actually agree with them most of the time anyway. It's not that deep, I guess.
Look, just because I’ve got a different take on things or I'm pushing back on an idea I don't really vibe with, it doesn't mean I'm taking anything personally. It's not like I'm getting defensive or feeling attacked. I guess it's just how I see it.
It just means I’m not on board with the current arguments or how things are being handled right now.
Simple as that.

It’s honestly quite disheartening when the things I find important are dismissed as childish, or when I'm accused of playing the hero or acting immaturely. It stings even more coming from someone I've always enjoyed talking to—someone I thought I could disagree with without it turning into a total vendetta.
If you aren't interested in debating, that's perfectly fine; you don't have to. But please, don't label those of us who actually want to discuss things as mere complainers. Let us hold onto the hope that something might change, no matter how slim the odds might seem. You might see this struggle as a lost cause, but we haven't given up. I certainly haven't.
In all seriousness, I truly hope that the persistent, well-reasoned cendranje from a certain group of users on this forum eventually reaches the right ears.

I don't quite follow your last point about the way people are commenting. When exactly did that happen?
Today? It happened today. And a handful of users were properly "rewarded" for it. I really don't see any debate to be had there.

cosmicskipper39 said:That’s how they handled things a few weeks—maybe even months—ago when they were redesigning everything and trying to enforce order over at RID.
Over at ZK, they did it slightly more gracefully because the supermod pinned a warning thread right at the top. I think some user from RID actually suggested doing it that way, mostly because a huge crowd of users went ballistic just because she asked why someone got banned.
The mods decided those kinds of questions counted as "questioning moderator decisions," so the whole group of expectant moms and new parents ended up getting banned.
The threads over at KZB were a total mess back then, just like they are now.

But why?

Well, that's a philosophical question, but maybe the forum is just terrified.

During the first wave of this discussion, Matthew Grant9, a few others, and I all caught wind that something similar was being prepared for ŽK. And sure enough, it happened.

It makes me wonder if the administration has learned anything at all from these situations. It isn't even particularly fair to the moderators to suddenly impose order like this out of nowhere. It implies that, until now, things haven't been run properly... assuming order was even necessary. And the people who have been posting on that sub-forum end up feeling somewhat foolish, as if everything they've built until this point was somehow invalid... as if it should have looked different from the start?

There is so much to unpack here... Honestly, allowing for a transition period wouldn't be such a terrible idea. One could argue that in these circumstances, you really ought to let the chaos run its course for a while before marching toward new victories... but no. It's much easier to just say, "From today onward, this is the rule."

So, while we're all sitting here debating, the Melodyn thread on the KZB was just wiped clean—even though she laid out her grievances quite calmly in that opening post.
Is this really supposed to be that "ideal space" everyone keeps raving about, where we can actually voice our suggestions and critiques without things getting nuked?
Honestly, if only there were more places like that left in the world.

I know exactly where you're coming from—you wish she could go after the mods or the admins too, but she simply doesn't have the authority. That's just how the system works, and you've known that since your very first day here.

Is it normal to me that they get away with so much more than we do?
It is.
And you're ignoring that part.
You can think whatever you want about me because of it, but as you said, the beauty of our thread was that we were all so different. And personally, I think that's a huge plus.

Africa shouldn't punish someone they technically don't have the power to penalize, but there are people who absolutely have the technical means to do so. Similarly, those at the "top" shouldn't give themselves a pass just because they can. It isn't right.
And I truly don't understand how you can justify them being forgiven more often than us. Why? Are they somehow better than a regular person like me or you, so they get extra leeway? Did they get some superpowers from a new color in the rainbow? Is that it?
Look, it's impossible to control every single little thing, and obviously, moderators aren't omnipotent or infallible, but when someone repeatedly makes the same mistakes, you can't just claim they woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Just because someone isn't performing their job well doesn't mean we should indefinitely tolerate their constant errors.

But you guys said that in the wrong place!
And that's why nothing was achieved except for everyone turning gray... damn it. 🙂

If you're going to argue that everyone is entitled to their opinion, then respect ours—we believe this should have been handled differently and in a different venue.

The grays and the remaining blues all agree that the venue for expressing this opinion wasn't appropriate. That's just the rules.
But again, I'm asking you: where else should it have been said?
Right here, where everything had already been posted and subsequently closed?

We tried, Kiss, we tried doing it differently and in a different place. And yet, nothing. We gave it a shot. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. We wrote what we wanted to write in a thread that meant something to us, and that's that. They'll unlock it, and whoever wants to post there will post; there's no need for a scene.

I don't want this to turn into a debate about Gutanje or arguing over which three women are more in the right. That's completely irrelevant.
What matters is what was written in the introduction and what sparked this whole thing in the first place.

Man, at the end of the day, we’re all just going to end up circling back to the same spot anyway.🤣

Alright, look, it shouldn't have been done there, the way it was—on that, we’re all on the same page!
If it's really that important to you that moderation be discussed in specific chats, then hey, throw out a constructive suggestion so we don't turn into exactly what Mortišin's topic became yesterday. Let's try to move forward together... where's the harm in that? 🤷

Eric Newman75 said:That actually doesn't change your point about whether a discussion could have happened—because clearly, it couldn't. What’s the point of starting a thread if it just leads straight to an (expected) ban?

Wait, what? 😲Why on earth would they do that?

If the PM-ov are getting involved, my guess is she actually asked for it to be taken down herself. There was zero reason for them to step in otherwise.

I mean, they could have just handled it via email. I don't get it...

P. S. Anyway, she's back.

Did anyone else here take note of how she was actually feeling today when she had to go ahead and ban those girls?
Do you really think Herp wouldn't pull something like that off?
I honestly feel like this whole thread should have been locked down ages ago...

Call me stupid if you want, but I’m still sitting here scratching my head. I honestly don't get what the goal was with that whole thing. What were you all actually trying to achieve there?

So, what, you guys aren't a fan of some of the rules around here?
It feels like nobody around here actually closes a thread when someone lays out a smart argument or offers something genuinely constructive. Everyone just lets them sit there. And honestly, whether there’s any actual benefit to posting this stuff or not... well, I don't think you're going to change anyone's mind by continuing down this same path you started on. 🤷

So, what did you guys end up getting this time?
Man, they really just shut us down. The thread is locked, and honestly, we all look like a bunch of old hens who got all worked up over nothing—especially since, let’s be real, we’re all just acting a bit high-strung here. In the end, none of us actually walked away with anything. 😢

I brought up Herp because she’s the one I’ve talked to the most. Africa was just a passing trend on the site—and since I was gone about 90% of the time back then—I can only comment on what I’m seeing today.

Yeah, Africa was just following the site rules, which basically say moderators get flagged for replying to posts in places they aren't supposed to. And sure, I’ve picked up a warning or two myself for breaking the rules.
Have I ever complained about it? Not once.
So, I know exactly why I got flagged.

*The issue is that the mods aren't even allowed to comment in the designated spots. Threads get shut down way too fast. You don't get an answer, or you just get told "mind your own business" or "this doesn't concern you," and then the thread is locked and that's the end of it.

It’s not about whether I like the rules or not. It's easy for me; if I don't like them, I'll just pack up and leave. 😁

The real problem is that even constructive suggestions don't seem to fly.
And the other issue is that now you're sitting here talking about us or them getting exactly what they wanted. This thread should have been about something else entirely.

We're never going to get anywhere if you and I just keep bickering like this.
Let's see how many threads actually survive and succeed if we just step back for a second and ask what we want on the main board instead. What do you think? 😬

The bans and the takedowns have finally arrived.
How exactly is it that we walked away with absolutely nothing?

I don't think the thread should have been locked in the first place. Why go that route? Is the goal to punish the people who were actually being civil? 🤣
Honestly, they should have just handed out the red cards and left you all to wander around aimlessly without anything to chat about. 🤣

The only thing I’m actually against is deleting posts. Honestly, I’d rather have everything laid bare so the whole world can see exactly why I was handed a red card in the first place. Let it all be out in the open.
Let others take a page out of my book.

Karen Rodriguez3 said:Now we’ve reached the stage where people are calling out the mods and bringing old friendships into this. I mean, is it even fair to go after a moderator just for doing their job?
Look, ladies, you really don't need this. If there's one thing I can't stand in life, it's people being contrarian just for the sake of being contrarian.
For crying out loud, get it together.
Melody, what was that post even about? Is everyone who disagrees with you suddenly a villain?
And yeah, we were all just talking, joking around, sharing our wins and our struggles. What does that mean? That we all share one giant brain and aren't allowed to have different opinions from one another?
If I know anything at all, it's that I'm not always right, and other people have every right to see things differently, even if I happen to be right.
If there's an actual issue, bring it up where it belongs and fight for your stance.
With actual arguments.
What happened today wasn't argumentative, mature, or even coherent. It was just denial, forcing an agenda, and playing the part of some edgy dissident hero.
Oh, and isn't saying "half the PDF" a bit much? Are all the other users posting on the USA considered unimportant or invisible?

I’ve never been a fan of calling out the moderators or acting like everything happening in the private chats is tied to who's friends with whom.
We aren't exactly children anymore.

I know exactly what I said.
I honestly don't get why this is getting under your skin so much. It’s not like you're going to be held accountable for my posts or anyone else's ramblings on here.
This all goes straight to the account of whoever's doing the writing.

That was actually minor compared to seeing him lock a thread right under our noses. It felt like he was just poking the bear, especially with the former Spirituality mods already being totally fed up. From an outsider's perspective, it looked like massive virtual self-indulgence.

Or just straight-up mocking Rob-Roy from Religion—who is an all-around great contributor here—all happening on the KZB, naturally, and all coming from that same guy.

I’m totally with you there. Honestly, I just feel bad that things have already reached a boiling point—and we know better than anyone how that happened, seeing all the emojis you guys had to push through 😍

Is there actually a way to set some ground rules for discussing bans and warnings without the whole thing devolving into a massive shouting match of personal insults?

dustycrane8 said:I don't think the thread should have been locked in the first place. Why? Just so the people acting civilly could be punished too? 🤣
Well, maybe we should've just taken the warnings and left you lot to chat away on your own. 🤣

The only thing I’m truly against is having posts deleted. I’d want the world to see exactly why I got flagged. Let everything stay out in the open.
Let others learn from my mistake.

I don't see why everyone shouldn't face some consequences, since we all played a part in creating this mess and keeping it on life support for Taylor Swift long. 😳

Besides, would you really leave me all alone over there with Mulica? 😲
🙂

So, are we just going to keep messaging each other like this until doomsday, or is someone "from above" going to step in and tell us if there's any actual point to this? 🙂

moralan satisfakcija. Being able to look in the mirror without wanting to spit on my own reflection is worth more to me than the chance to keep posting on this site and pretending everything is fine. I’m not gray-haired yet, but I feel like I am.

If you're going to claim that everyone has a right to their opinion, then respect ours too—the opinion that this should have been handled differently and in a different space.

No, they didn't. This whole thing is a farce. It's the administration's fault because they mock the users, lock threads, and threaten bans if anyone tries to discuss things in what's supposedly the "right" place.

Some people just can't seem to grasp that this isn't about Lastan or Bradley Sanders or Jim or Matt.
The issue here is double standards. You permit yourself the very behavior you prohibit in others.

Similarly, you penalize posts from two different users—who, according to the rules of Forum.hr, deserve equal "recognition"—in completely different ways (if at all), depending solely on whether you agree with one over the other.

And if the site administrator is already online, let them actually do their job.

Furthermore, this isn't about ŽK or gutanje; it's about the management of Forum.hr. The whole thing.
As for pulling the "you don't know the background" card: You have no idea what's happening behind the scenes, and that argument only carries weight if you actually explain the context to us.

That was pure sarcasm. Honestly, feathers are flying everywhere here. If you took that as a provocation or gloating, maybe you should take a beat—take a deep breath, count to ten, or however long it takes to settle down...

Also, having served as a moderator myself, I know exactly how new moderators are selected—and it isn't through revolts on USA. My goal was simply to breathe life back into Trash, which you repeatedly described as dead in your own thread over at Kokošinjac. Sad.

Me, having all of Kokošinjac on my side? I talk to maybe three or four people there, none of whom belong to that "inner circle"...

Furthermore, those who find my comment offensive but haven't been banned are more than welcome to comment—either in the thread or via PM. That's what threads are for: discussion, not for people to mark their territory...

I'm with you. And my buddy Đepika is too. 🙂

Are you absolutely certain that's what we're talking about here?😬
If I had to sum this up in a nutshell—and I mean a really tiny one—it would be about whether the admins are being generous enough with bans, and before that, whether the users are dancing on thin ice.
To me, it seems like the real topic is the gracefulness of the performance itself. Like, are the skaters the only ones to blame when the ice starts cracking under their feet?

Double standards have been hanging around this forum for ages; nothing new there. The real issue? We're starting to see cliques forming within certain threads based on how the moderators run things. People are getting fed up.

I mean, when you get a strike in one thread but your opponent gets nothing, then move to a second or third thread and realize the rules don't apply there either... you start to notice a pattern. If someone insults or trolls you and the moderator happens to be "on the same side" as that user, you can bet they won't be getting a strike.

Maybe it's time for some real changes in moderation across most of the forum's threads? Just to shake things up and break these little cliques apart.
Then again, I don't know if that's the actual fix or what the solution even is. But the admins really need to look into this. It's become way too frequent over the last few months.

Among other things, yes. There isn't much point in even debating the rest... because the response will always be, "It’s like this on every other forum, so why would JLL be any different?" And let's just face facts—it is. What is there to argue about when you're simply implementing rules that are already standard practice everywhere else?

So, you're left arguing about why that rule wasn't being enforced until yesterday... which begs the question: who exactly was responsible for letting it slide in the first place? And honestly, why should the community be the ones to suffer just because something wasn't handled correctly before, only to suddenly become an issue now...

If you try to pin this on the moderators, they’ll just tell you that while they handle the PDFs, it’s actually the users who set the tone around here... And if that's the case, then let's be clear: the direction was already established, so expecting a total turnaround overnight is frankly delusional. This isn't some organized precinct where someone swoops in to enforce order, so really, it's just a matter of seeing who survives the chaos...

The people on this forum aren't exactly dim enough to realize when they've hit a wall... though I doubt anyone is going to be particularly thrilled when everything they've spent years building gets torn down in a single afternoon...

It seems even the moderators have started implementing those necessary crackdowns we all agreed upon, finally showing everyone exactly how things are going to be handled...

I mean, if the clans are still running things, there's really no point in swapping out the mods anyway 🤣

Look, clans aren't made up of a hundred random forum users. They’re built by a handful of people. Like I said, I’m not claiming this is the magic fix—it's just one way to look at things. Generally speaking, I think it would be smart to rotate moderation on some of these larger sub-forums every year or so if possible. Why? Just to make sure one specific faction doesn't gain too much power through the mods.

Yeah, that doesn't sound half bad to me either, but we won't see any of that happening.
