Ban - Admin Nice

rustydrifter10 hit me with a permanent ban for "provocation in messages + total contribution." Honestly, I think that's a bit overkill. I wasn't trying to start any drama in my very first post right after signing up. My post just got flagged as sponsored content, and then—bam—permanent ban. It sucks that I'm locked out for six months because of this, but jumping straight to a lifetime ban right out of the gate feels extreme. Any chance you guys could take another look at this? I promise I'll actually read the rules properly next time. Thanks and take care!

You’ve been banned for almost an entire year now. You popped back up here just to drop some ads, and then you immediately pivoted to provocation in messages + total contribution. There hasn't been a single shred of good faith or any sign that you actually want to be a constructive, helpful member of this community.

This isn't some spammy ad. I can literally send you proof that I’m enrolled and finishing up my Master's degree right now. Given that, I don't think an info post should be flagged as an advertisement. As for anything else, I'll just have to prove you wrong over time. If I offended anyone with my posts, my bad—that wasn't the goal. It just ticked me off seeing something labeled as an ad when nobody even asked me for proof or gave me a chance to show my student ID to prove I'm just trying to help out future students. I actually find this forum super useful and hang out here all the time. And honestly, I don't see why it matters if I registered a while back. Please seriously consider loosening up the restrictions; I'm happy to DM you whatever documentation you need.
