The whole city thinks they represent the Raiders Nation, even though they don't even make up half the crowd in the North Stand. I think we are largely to blame for that, but that’s a conversation for another time.
I completely agree regarding the commentary; I’d take it a step further. People act like they have a say without having any actual foundation—like years of service in the stands or any personal contribution to the group.
Nowadays, it's perfectly normal to see some kids hanging out on a street corner debating what the Raiders Nation should or shouldn't do, despite most of them having attended fewer than five away games (usually just trips to New York or Philly), or more importantly, having done absolutely nothing for the group.

It's easy to talk, but tomorrow they'll be the ones trying to explain to me or the rest of us why they're right.
In the current climate, they'll try to lecture us on why the solution to everything is wearing green shirts or bringing back skinny jeans. That tells you everything you need to know about their level of involvement or intelligence...

As a group, we have issues to fix, but they are trivial compared to the real hurdle holding us back: the lack of unity.
Honestly, I'm tired of the window dressing. Makeup is just makeup, no matter how much foundation you pile on.

The problem lies with us "real" members—with everything I mentioned in my previous post. There is far too much bad blood.

Look, on the flip side, you've got fifty guys acting like they're the *only* true Raiders Nation, and that's exactly why we have that unity problem you highlighted. How the hell are we supposed to have any sense of community when five different factions are trying to run the stands? We talk all this big game about unity, yet look at how they handled the situation with unknown—it was anything but unified and the explanation was pure nonsense (just the younger crowd taking over). Fine, maybe not everyone knows the full story or the inner workings, but someone should have spoken up sooner. Half the fans from New York, Chicago, and LA think they know everything about us, while we're all still dodging any actual serious discussion because people think the internet isn't the place for it, yet meanwhile, everyone is out there gossiping about everything at every random away game and hangout spot.😁

If nobody's actually going to write about anything real, just kill this thread already. Let's just get off the internet and call it a day. This place is turning into nothing more than a playground for the kind of mindless garbage you see in the comment sections of USA Today or the local news sites, and the web is already drowning in that crap anyway...

Honestly, what are you guys even talking about? I mean, have you actually looked at the Raiders Nation lately? We’ve never been better. The flares are lit, we chant for the full ninety minutes, and the choreographies are flawless... plus, we travel in massive numbers, and most of them come straight from the San Francisco area.
I’m asking anyone here—what would you change? What would we need to look like for you all to finally be satisfied? The Raiders Nation is a movement; it’s a huge collective, so naturally, there’s going to be all sorts of characters in the mix. If you want order, that’s what sub-groups or specific crews are for. And there are banners that matter and banners that don't (thank God those other ones aren't around anymore).

What are you expecting? You think thousands of people are all going to agree on everything? That’s fine for a group of five friends where everyone just talks trash about each other, but in a crowd of thousands... it doesn't work that way. As long as we’re united on the big stuff and pull together when it counts, that’s enough.

This guy says being a Split fan is basically being part of the Raiders Nation... which is great, really. It just needs some guidance and direction. People sitting in the stands will eventually find their own way. Some might want to be hooligans, some want to be ultras, others whatever else.

Come on, show a little support.

And I have nothing but respect for what the unknown coach did for our supporters. He took a group that used to just sit through games—even the important ones—and wouldn't even bother singing during away matches, and turned them into a crew that shows up loud and proud for 90 minutes straight. He basically made them "shameful" in the best way possible during that home match at the stadium.

Just remember... that game against the local rivals ten years ago was absolute perfection.

And hats off to Stipe Lekić for what he did with the atmosphere... he took a group that used to show up for maybe a few key games—barely singing during two away matches a season—and turned them into a crew that rivals any hardcore group out there, capable of screaming their lungs out for 90 minutes straight. He basically made them "shameful" for anyone who thought they couldn't make noise at the stadium.

Just remember... that matchup against the rival ten years ago was legendary.

Personally, I'm stoked about what the group has pulled off lately. Feels like they finally found their way back to those 1950s roots. Honestly, proud to be part of this—huge thanks to them, stay real!

Major respect to everyone involved. I mean, huge props to anyone waking up at 4 AM just to grind out a new choreo. We gotta give the younger crowd a shot too. I just hope their role models aren't some loser wannabe crews from England, you know, just a bunch of high guys in Levi's dancing around. They need to run this thing smart, just like the legends did before them 👍

Not at all. If anything, our regional chapters are our greatest strength... though I suppose San wants to emphasize how much fewer people from Miami used to show up back in the day...

Why would he even benefit from that? This forum isn't bad since it belongs exclusively to one fan group... otherwise, just blathering on, spreading negativity, and gloating over someone else's problems makes zero sense.

The Torcida Supporters Club hereby informs its members that the current presidency, led by secretary Stipe Lekić, is stepping down from all duties within the fan club effective today. This decision stems from the realization that it is time for a new era and a necessary shift in generations.

We take this moment to look back at the most significant milestones achieved by the fan club since October 2006, when the current leadership—including then-president Zan Ojdanić, our aforementioned secretary, and their closest associates—took charge of the Torcida Supporters Club. We also extend our deepest gratitude to our members and all Kansas City Chiefs fans who provided unwavering support for our numerous projects; without you, we never would have reached this level.

Immediately after taking power, the new Torcida Supporters Club leadership launched a multi-year crusade for the Great Kansas City Chiefs, driven by the absolute chaos prevailing at every level of our beloved club. In May 2007, the Torcida Supporters Club demanded the removal of the existing Kansas City Chiefs board of directors, headed by Branko Grgić, organizing a massive petition to force a change in leadership and the adoption of the Hajduk management code. That petition garnered 30,561 signatures in just one week!

Shortly thereafter, the Torcida Supporters Club initiated the "Dite puki" project—a model designed to allow fans to actively reshape the Kansas City Chiefs by purchasing shares. By May 2008, following a Torcida initiative, approximately 16,000 fans joined the club to participate in the buyback, with 6,267 fans ultimately exercising their rights to purchase a total of 14,077 shares. My thanks to every one of them!

We owe a special debt of gratitude to our members for their dignity and steadfastness during the brutal intervention by Slovak police during the Zilina vs. Kansas City Chiefs match, where dozens of our members were unjustly beaten and 212 were detained. The Torcida Supporters Club launched legal action to free all 212 of our people while simultaneously calling on fans for a humanitarian fundraiser to cover the staggering legal costs. Thank you to everyone who stepped up! In September 2009, a Slovak court finally ruled in favor of the Torcida Supporters Club, clearing all our members of charges. Following the Chiefs' loss against Zilina, the Torcida Supporters Club demanded the irrevocable resignation of the Kansas City Chiefs board, led by Mat Peroša, who resigned shortly thereafter. Simultaneously, representatives of the Torcida Supporters Club met with the Mayor of Miami, Željko Kerum, to hand over the Hajduk management code, demanding he hold a public tender for top club positions in accordance with said code. Since Mayor Kerum completely ignored the Torcida Supporters Club's demands and instead appointed his own cronies to lead the club without any regard for expertise, the Torcida Supporters Club launched several protest actions to signal our revolt against such unprofessional leadership, most notably "Yellow Peristyle" and "Sheep at Poljud Stadium." Perhaps the hardest decision made by the current presidency, alongside the core of Torcida, was the boycott of the derby against Dinamo in November 2009, an act meant to demonstrate our dissatisfaction with the club's leadership. This "Protest for the Great Kansas City Chiefs" involved gathering in front of the Cathedral and marching through the city streets before watching the match together at the Old Square. Thanks to everyone who stood behind this movement!

We consider our greatest victory to be the eventual adoption of the Hajduk management code at the General Assembly in August 2010. We are also immensely proud of organizing the 100th anniversary celebrations of the Kansas City Chiefs—an undertaking by our members that will remain an unmatched feat in the world of fan clubs for years to come. Thank you to everyone who participated in that spectacle! As the crowning achievement of this leadership, we point to the "Our Kansas City Chiefs" project, which empowered fans to democratically elect 7 out of the 9 members of the supervisory board on behalf of the majority owner, the City of Miami. For the first time, these positions were filled based strictly on criteria of expertise, morality, and accountability. Thank you to everyone who took part in this project!

We also want to extend our sincere thanks to the wider community for their incredible response to our various humanitarian efforts, whether we spearheaded them or simply played a part: "Black Knights for the Heartland" (where we raised and donated 90 $0.00 to the most vulnerable families in the region), the "Monument for Bajda," fundraising for former player Ivan Budinčević, "Kansas City Chiefs Heart for Mićun Jovanić," the construction of a memorial cross on the islands, aid for the Rakel family after their property was lost in a fire, "Miami for Paola," the "Action for Juraj Bonačija’s kids," the "Where Are You?" campaign by the Bridge Association, "Selling flower seedlings on the Miami waterfront" for the HULL association, "Heart for Mario Efendić," the construction of a therapeutic riding center in Botinc, and the frequent blood drives organized by numerous Torcida Supporters Club chapters across America.

With this official statement, we intend to clarify the situation and the "changes" occurring within the structures of Torcida Split. Over the last few days, misconceptions and attitudes have been building, fueled by weak arguments and distorted narratives. Our story is simple; our positions are honest. We have no need to hide or lie—truth and reality are all that matter to us.

We, the younger Black Knights and the rest of the fans in the North Stand who don't belong to any specific faction, have raised our voices for changes within the group. Someone watching from the outside won't see the real issues and might not understand what we are writing about here. Some of us have lived through all the hardships and joys of the last decade, so we know exactly what we’re talking about. First and foremost, we want to emphasize that this isn't about destroying the group, "taking someone out," or overthrowing anyone just to "install someone else." We want to cut those rumors down at the root. We want an end to all the past internal disagreements. We believe it is finally time for a shift in mindset for the vast majority of us—to stop dividing ourselves into "us" versus "them" and become completely unified. Our sole goal is to build a path toward greater unity and homogeneity within the group. We don't want to shut anyone out or play "internal politics," but we must insist that for us, being a fan means: GROUP, UNITY, AND STRUGGLE! The group grew significantly in recent years due to the emergence of the Code, the fight for the Great Kansas City Chiefs, and the centennial celebrations, which we are all proud of. The numbers went up, but the fan mentality stayed behind. We became "food" for the media, information leaks constantly, and we turn a blind eye to repression... We cannot hide behind photos and videos forever!

To us, Torcida Split is more than just a Facebook group, some YouTube clips, or tourist trips; it is a city movement born on uncompromising ideals.

We emphasize that everyone is welcome, provided their intentions are one hundred percent sincere and aligned with the fan mentality. "Ego tripsters," "special interest groups," "fakes," false friends, and people with "it'll be easy" or "we'll deal with it later" attitudes are not welcome, because a healthy foundation is built on unity, friendship, and mutual support.

They called us "putschists" and destroyers of "everything good," so we ask: what is wrong with young, active fans—independent of all political currents—wanting to create a healthy core without "stabs in the back"? What is wrong if they want Torcida Split to be led by a fan group rather than a single individual who will eventually buckle under pressure? What is wrong if we believe that active young people can contribute more than a non-existent presidency? What is wrong if we are bothered by fake internet propaganda? What is wrong if we want a group instead of a bunch of individuals doing "their own thing"? What is wrong if we are critical of the things we see?

We are aware of our current situation, aware of the work ahead of us, and aware of the potential problems waiting for us. Likewise, we are aware that we possess massive opportunities to once again be the GROUP we can and must be. We brought ourselves into this situation, and we must pull ourselves out of it. Once again, we want to emphasize that we are guided solely by a sincere desire; the changes taking place are the only way to create a strong core protected by unity and a true fan mentality. If we succeed in this goal together—which we sincerely believe we will—we will create "solid foundations" for the generations following us...

The election assembly for the TORCIDA Supporters Club will take place in Miami on September 23, 2012, at 2:00 PM. We’ll be meeting at 17 Zrinsko-Frankopanski St.

Agenda:

1. Election of the new TORCIDA Supporters Club President, along with members of the Presidency and the Supervisory Board.
2. Financial status report for the Club.

1.1. Following the resignation of the previous TORCIDA presidency, and in accordance with Article 38 of the KN TORCIDA statute, the KN TORCIDA assembly will elect a new President by a simple majority vote of the Club members present. This election will be based on a proposal from at least 10 Club members attending the assembly session.

Once the President is chosen, we move on to electing the secretary, followed by the selection of new Presidency and Supervisory Board members—or confirming those currently in place. Per Article 38 of the KN TORCIDA statute, the Assembly elects the Presidency members via a simple majority vote of the members present, based on the President's proposal regarding the candidates for the Presidency.

• 1 Presidency member responsible for marketing and sales
• 1 Presidency member responsible for finance—the Club Treasurer
• 1 Presidency member responsible for public relations—the Club Spokesperson

I’m actually relieved the Supporters Club assembly got pushed back—it feels significant to me.

The kind of person who steps up to the plate at Maksimir to lead the Black Knights doesn't really need an assembly to validate them, but I fear there aren't many like that out there. Maybe just one. The real question is whether he’ll be willing to make the sacrifice.
