A day or two ago, when I clicked on my profile icon to dig up my old posts, a random page just popped open in a new window. I didn't even stay to see what it was; I just reflexively slammed the window shut.

All things considered, it would be nice to get an official word on what's actually going on here. 🙂

Ugh, finally! I just got the forum to load for me—I’ve been trying to get in for three whole days without any luck. It feels a little sluggish compared to usual, but honestly, I don't even care, I'm just happy to be back in the loop 😁

So, I guess the forums were worth it after all. I noticed that once I clear my cache, everything looks fine—until I actually open the site. Then, every single minute, I start getting these Trojan warnings popping up...

Man, I got hit by a Trojan from this forum and it absolutely trashed all my programs. Now, whenever I try to launch anything, instead of just opening, it keeps asking me to "open with" some random app. I tried looking for a fix online, but honestly, I think I’m gonna have to wipe the whole thing and reinstall Windows if I want my PC back to normal...

And yeah, lesson learned: when you ignore those security warnings thinking "it's probably fine," it's definitely NOT fine. 🙂

p.s. Thank god for Norton Anti-Malware, it totally saved my skin. Apparently, people over on Reddit are dealing with the exact same mess too.

Honestly, you all are just pathetic

I haven't been able to log onto the forum for a few days because of all those security warnings... honestly, I didn't even really try to get back in, since I definitely don't want to end up with some nasty malware on my computer. Is everything looking safe now?
It looks like the forum is up and running again. I mean, can I hang out here normally without worrying about catching a virus or something?

There is this whole area of cybersecurity I haven't really dived deep into or fully mastered yet, involving things like SQL injection or perhaps even playing around with Metasploit

It’s frankly bizarre that none of the people in charge are offering any actual explanations, and frankly, who knows if anyone is even attempting to handle this the way they should be.

Everything looks totally fine on my end. No warnings popping up at all, and man, it's flying like crazy...
