Radiohead live in Washington, D.C. - 09/05/2012

Everyone around me seemed pretty chill, though honestly, the lack of energy was kind of killing me. It was hard to even get a decent round of applause after a song because nobody seemed to care—but hey, maybe that was just my section.

But man, that concert? Absolutely flawless. Pure magic. I’m still just sitting here letting it all sink in, trying to process everything we actually witnessed. 😍

My girlfriend and I were surrounded by crowds of people who spent about 90% of the show staring at their iPhones or talking incessantly. Honestly, I suspect if you were standing right up against the stage, the vibe would have been significantly better than it was from where we were positioned.

But frankly, even that little distraction isn't enough to sour my overall impression of the performance. I really hope they announce another tour date somewhere nearby very soon.🙂

And yeah, I really hope this isn't their final tour.

I am truly hoping they decide to bring their show to Washington, D.C., much like they did with God is an Astronaut... I actually had no idea they were performing in Ljubljana, and unfortunately, my exam schedule made it impossible for me to make the trip 😢

I stayed toward the back because the bass was hitting too hard for me. I also gave a wide berth to some (well-known) Americans; it was grating to feel like I hadn't actually made a bold move by traveling to Canada. It took me a little while to really get the 😍 lay of the land.
