Why does the forum lag so much from 9 AM to midnight?

I find that this forum fluctuates between being incredibly sluggish and failing to load entirely, often throwing nothing but error messages instead. Given that I’m running on a solid 50 Mbps connection and every other site on the web is functioning perfectly, I can say with total confidence that the issue lies squarely with this platform. To make matters even more interesting, just a few minutes ago, Google Chrome flagged the page with a warning stating, "this is an attack site."

Stick to Firefox. Honestly, Internet Explorer is absolute garbage.
And then I’m left wondering why my fellow IT techs at the office gave me such weird looks when I admitted to using Internet Explorer 🤔 while they all swear by Firefox... well, I guess everything is finally crystal clear now 😂

Oh, and... interesting enough, today Firefox flagged this site as a security risk due to viruses. Seriously admins, why couldn't this have been handled last week when we all started mass-reporting those Trojans? 🙄
I can't help but wonder how many people have infected their machines just by clicking one of your ads...
A public service platform like this shouldn't be letting a security lapse like this slide, especially when it hasn't been fixed even after five days... 🙂

Same here. Someone’s claiming there's malware on this forum, and I'm not taking any chances. Typing this from my phone right now because I don't want to risk infecting my PC. If anyone is actually able to look into this and fix it, I'd appreciate the help.

Honestly, I’m sticking with my iPad too. I’d much rather let him mess around on a tablet than touch my desktop. Seriously though, can someone fill me in? Is this just a delayed notification from those glitches we saw over the last few days, or are we dealing with some new kind of headache?

We spotted a few malware scripts sitting on page one of the entire Reddit. Since this is just an isolated incident, you can pretty much ignore the warning.

Can users who already had infected computers—and actually paid out of pocket to get them cleaned—just ignore the fact that they lost money, or are they expected to just feel guilty for even visiting this Reddit?

Google keeps flagging malicious software on Reddit, regardless of which thread I try to open. 🤷

Maybe I can ignore the warning... but I can't exactly ignore the fact that I can't even open the site in Firefox.

You should be able to access Reddit via Firefox. Just take a look at the bottom right corner of that warning message.

Go to Tools, then Options, head over to Security, and just uncheck "Block reported attack sites." That should fix it for you.😍

Now that I've logged back onto Reddit, Chrome is flagging some kind of virus again.

Reddit has been incredibly sluggish lately, and there are times when the site won't even load at all—this has actually been an issue for quite a while now. I really wish someone had stepped in to address this sooner.

I’m having the same issue; nothing is loading for me either. It opens up to the greeting where it says hey, rustywalker1, and everything else within that frame, but the section below stays completely blank.

The forum has been feeling pretty outdated for quite some time now, especially since we don't even have the option to embed YouTube clips, and honestly, the loading speeds are just as sluggish
