Why does the forum lag so much from 9 AM to midnight?

Look, we’re seeing about 10,000 people hanging out during the day and maybe 3,000 at night. It's totally normal that the forum starts lagging once it gets past midnight

I am uncertain whether any of the administrators have actually weighed in over these last ten pages... they seem content to simply observe the conversation without ever truly intervening...

yeah, but... the actual server techs (😁) obviously aren't reading this, so maybe someone can tell us who we actually need to contact and where...

I can't speak for everyone else here, but honestly, seeing those 503 and 504 errors gives me a little rush of excitement—it's like a tiny spark in my chest. 😍

All jokes aside, I assume the boss (Anderson) has been notified that the site is glitching out. Again, I’m just speculating; I can't speak for anyone else.

So I finally slapped AdBlock Plus onto Chrome yesterday and now my browsing speed is absolutely flying at a hundred miles an hour...😛

Even tools like AdBlock Plus aren't going to solve this. Sure, they block those annoying ads and banners from appearing on your screen, but those files are still being requested from the Reddit server 😉

None of that explains why the speed has suddenly cratered to 10% of what it used to be. Just a few weeks ago, this site was lightning fast. Now? It's like the digital version of the Black Plague, cholera, and AIDS all hit it at once. I'm sitting here waiting fifteen minutes for a page to load. No amount of clearing cookies is going to cause that kind of lag unless you're running a toaster for a computer or have a dial-up connection. Meanwhile, every other website I visit loads perfectly fine.

I've been sticking with Chrome + AdBlock and honestly... I'm pretty happy with it. Everything just loads so much faster 😉

That’s exactly why I stay up past midnight when I can actually browse in peace! Doing this during the day is a total waste of time.

So, yesterday everything was basically useless until late last night, right? And then today, it’s just spinning its wheels for like half an hour, and then—bam!—all of a sudden, it starts going absolutely crazy... wtf?

Seriously, just go ahead and install AdBlock Plus; my browser is currently being chased by ads at Mach speed.🎉

Seriously though, do yourselves a favor and get one. Just take my word for it and listen to me on this one 😍
