Why does the forum lag so much from 9 AM to midnight?

Can someone please fix this Reddit layout? It’s honestly becoming impossible to navigate 🙂

At first, I was convinced my home Wi-Fi was just acting up, but after seeing some other posts, it’s clear I'm not alone here.
Every other site on the web loads perfectly fine for me, but on Reddit, I’m sitting there staring at a blank screen for 20 or 30 seconds just waiting for a single page or a post to actually render. 🙄

Honestly, it feels way too slow for me too. It’s gotten to the point where I don't even bother reading Reddit anymore—it just drags. I feel the exact same way about it, I guess.

It seems none of the administrators or moderators have bothered to respond here: admin@reddit.com so we can actually address this issue. Honestly, the loading speeds are becoming quite infuriating... especially when my connection is hovering somewhere between 3 and 5 Mbps on Comcast...

Is it just me, or is Reddit being painfully slow today? Honestly, maybe they should clear out the cache or toss some of those ancient threads into the archives... It’s getting heavy. Anyway, I doubt it'll be fixed this second, but the admins will probably get on top of it soon enough...

I guess since it’s after midnight, the crowds have cleared out, so the forum is actually running faster for once.

Sure, but I don't recall things ever slowing down quite like this before 🙂 .It seems hard to believe there wasn't some kind of massive surge in forum activity previously 🙂

Honestly, this whole dispute is enough to drive anyone absolutely insane!

Why does it take like 30 or 40 seconds just to load any page on Fargo if I try to look at anything from 15 days ago? Every other site I visit loads in a second or two.
Did they switch servers or is something else broken?

Same old story today, total disaster🙂Just logged on and the speed is absolutely pathetic. There's zero chance these pages are actually going to load. I'm done.😠

Look, we all know there’s an issue here—you think we're somehow getting things fixed faster than you are? If I hear anything from the technical lead or the head admin, I'll make sure to pass those details along to you...

Fargo is loading so slowly that I actually finished prepping all my college exams while waiting for the page to open.

The connection is driving me absolutely nuts. I'm running everything through Optimum right now—so, I think I'll keep a close eye on things after midnight to see if there’s actually any improvement in the speeds.

I recently switched from AT&T to Verizon. It’s basically the same story. Everything keeps slowing down, though things seem to stabilize after midnight. I suspect the issue is due to the sheer volume of users online at peak hours.

PS: It's 11:38 PM and the speed is finally improving.

every other site loads instantly on my 35/5 Mbps connection, yet this godforsaken forum takes a good 20 to 30 seconds just to show up... 🙂

It isn’t even about which ISP you’re using—period. I see people bringing up AT&T, Optimum, or Comcast, but I’m running on Spectrum and I’m dealing with the exact same headache

It’s probably not even an issue with the ISP; I suspect it’s just some garbage-tier server 🤔
