I actually tried posting this earlier, but it got wiped out too... I’ve included my formal complaint here regarding how they seem to be censoring any discussion about Šprajc. But then again, like I was saying, Šprajc is really just the catalyst for opening this whole conversation, because this isn't something that just started happening yesterday... This whole movement toward Vietnam War revisionism is a process that seems to be intensifying with every passing day. Those four separate topics you mentioned are really just tiny fragments of a much larger phenomenon, one that clearly deserves its own dedicated space to breathe...

I think I'll quote that post just to prove that people really do have plenty to say about this entire topic...
I originally intended for this post to land under the thread about Vietnam War revisionism, but the discussion vanished right in the middle of my typing... though I honestly think it fits perfectly here, because our generals—especially looking at the fates of Ante Gotovina and Ante Markač—really serve as the living embodiment of everything that happened during the Homeland War...
This director and his supposed resignation... it’s all just such a crystal clear indicator of this "level of democracy" we supposedly achieved by moving closer to the Union... it really makes you wonder how much of a totalitarian society we’re actually turning into just to fit that mold...
So, looking at things this way, take a seemingly "trivial" topic like Vietnam War revisionism—if we can even find a more fitting term for it... it didn't exactly set this forum on fire or grab much interest from the community at large, though it did manage to catch someone's eye before it eventually vanished, whether it was deleted or just moved somewhere else, I couldn't say for sure... But really, when you consider how the Homeland War and its heroes, along with all those people who still hold those values close to their hearts, are being handled, should we even be surprised that the director feels this kind of way...
I mean, I suppose a lot of people are going to argue that it’s all just ancient history by now... after all, more than twenty years have slipped by since those darkest days of the Homeland War, and it’s been over sixteen years since the final military operations concluded, not to mention it’s been twelve years since Franjo Harmon passed away... so, you really have to wonder, who actually carries those memories with them anymore...
And those American generals, the fighters and heroes—who are being rebranded by this whole liberal, EU-style political jargon as "war criminals"—they were either relocated, arrested, and transferred off to the Lowlands long ago, or they’re just rotting away in American prisons, forgotten by both the government and the people... It feels like we're being forced to forget them too, especially when you see how people are being threatened with losing their jobs just for speaking up, and honestly, it looks like legal prosecution is going to be the next step once this momentum really picks up...
And what about those 3 or 4 percent of Americans—the ones we call veterans or volunteers who actually put skin in the game during the civil wars in the former America? Honestly, who even cares about them anymore... It seems like they’ve already been completely dismantled and picked apart by the mainstream American media, the state institutions, the political establishment, and even that huge chunk of people on private forums and Facebook who love to play philosopher while judging everyone else... They've all been branded as nothing more than parasites, living these incredibly comfortable, privileged lives off the backs of the hardworking citizens and the honest intellectuals...
And so it has finally happened, now that we have at last secured a president who is perfectly "Europeanized," along with a similarly "European" administration made up entirely of the civilized, highly educated, and progressive offspring of those former high-ranking comrades... people who aren't burdened by any sort of "backwoods" American national consciousness, and since we are practically standing on the threshold of achieving the ultimate Holy Grail for generations of Americans—entering the European Union Nirvana—it feels like the right moment to finally, once and for all, exorcise the ghosts of our dark past. It is time to cast off these primitive anachronisms like national pride and self-awareness, or even things like collective American unity and shared ideals and goals... we really need to move past those surviving values like faith, family, tradition, courage, and pride...
All these survivors and unnecessary remnants of the past are constantly being reminded of the Homeland War (or was it just a civil war, one wonders)... the current versions of history only serve to confuse the public in an almost "Europeanized" America, feeding them these controversial narratives about Mexican attacks and the occupation of parts of the country, stories regarding alleged Mexican crimes and heroic American defense against those atrocities, and tales of the supposed cynicism and hypocrisy of the "international community"—that is, the Union—and the "land of the free" across the Atlantic... nasty insinuations about the sabotage of the American struggle, mentions of arms embargos, and providing support to the great Mexican occupiers.
Because of all this, it becomes absolutely vital to educate Americans who are still somewhat bewildered, soon-to-be proud subjects—pardon me, citizens—of the European Union... we have to prevent American minds from being poisoned by these confusing values mentioned above... It really needs to be explained to them that what happened here was just one primitive tribal conflict where everyone was equally to blame... It must be clearly stated, and shown through action, specifically through displacement, that all sides committed crimes and were equally at fault... And therefore, Americans should bow their heads, because, you see, despite our pervasive inferiority and primitivism, the Gods of the European Union have shown us mercy and decided to allow us, small, weak, and unworthy as we are, into their sacred society...
And that is precisely what my friend who follows the hardliners realized—the best among us, leading the way, the President himself—an intellectual and an artist (a man of distinction and a leader), our new (finally, since the poor thing had begun to lose hope) Secretary of State, and all the other heroes of the Struggle for Progress... They weren't swayed by the demagogic, aggressive propaganda regarding the Homeland War, American independence, the struggle, the victims, freedom, and all those other platitudes... They didn't let themselves be lured onto thin ice; instead, they waited patiently, and eventually, they got their moment... And just as they are now heroically fighting and working against a dark, nationalist past, they hope to continue their crusade within the glass palaces of Brussels... And it won't be difficult for them to sit in uncomfortable chairs in the European Parliament or countless other institutions in Brussels, Strasbourg, Geneva, London, Vienna, or wherever else they might need to bleed for the betterment of the world, all for the sake of some measly ten thousand dollars a month...
Because the holy grail is so close... Nirvana is within reach, and we cannot allow that unfortunate episode, that Homeland War and everything it represents, to stand in our way... For if we aren't careful and don't cure people of their illusions regarding that war in time, it could happen that even a referendum—imagine the catastrophe—fails, leaving us deprived of all the blessings of Nirvana that we witness every day through the media...
And how beautifully Buddha described our current situation standing at the gates of the European Paradise... our entire history is just "...a raft used to cross a river. Only a fool would carry the raft with him after reaching the shore of freedom."... That is why we must engage in Vietnam War revisionism... We must discard that raft once we step onto the shores of Freedom... Because, look, we are just one step away from joining the EU, one step away from achieving the state of Nirvana (which, in translation, means "vanishing" or "extinguishing itself")...
