Personally, I find the whole thing kind of charming. It isn't one of those trendy, superficial friendships you see popping up all over Europe just for show; this has actual roots. Even if they are tragic roots, I suppose.😢

Everyone’s making such a huge deal out of whether or not they stood up for that unnamed person, but they’re forgetting that not everyone stays in that loop. Only a specific group maintains that kind of connection, so missing something is always a possibility. It was unintentional on their part, and I guess that’s where the argument ends.

The MF flag belongs to an unnamed person, and they were the only ones making it visible—specifically during away games in Indianapolis and Miami against what I think was Seattle. So, I really don't see what kind of oversight you're talking about.

Regarding the Magic fans—more people kept that connection alive than any other supporter group ever has 😉. But since people like you take offense so easily, it eventually dwindled down to nothing. I mean, why bother sharing anything new for the good of the Rangers Supporters Club or trying to make actual friends when everyone is too busy shouting, "The Rangers Supporters Club is the greatest in the universe!"

Just to add my two cents here: I don't think we should try to frame our connection with Microsoft as being on the same level as our relationship with NAB. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Microsoft—I don't personally know anyone over at NAB either—but I feel like what we have with NAB is a different beast entirely. It’s more than just being groups that happen to exist on the same longitude, which, I guess, is basically the baseline requirement for any group looking to make contact these days. I’m specifically thinking about that legendary choreo they pulled off back when our own future was still up in the air, and how everyone was received in Lisbon.

Also, all this talk about needing to constantly fly Portuguese, French, or Tahitian flags on the fences feels a bit much to me. I'll leave those opinions to the overly enthusiastic Mexicans and Pole2 types who find that kind of thing normal. Why force it? If the relationship is solid and being maintained, there's no need to go out of my way to prove it with synchronized displays or inside jokes. The simple fact that those people are welcome among us, and vice versa, should be enough. To be clear, I'm speaking objectively when I say a tribute to the fallen NAB members probably should have been made, but since that was just a random oversight, I don't see the point in making a massive scene out of it.🙂

Nobody is actually suggesting we need to wave their damn flag at every single freaking game, but it would be fine if we at least had one in our arsenal.
