Hey everyone, I’ve been scrolling through the threads on eye inflammation, but I can't seem to find anything that matches what I'm dealing with right now, so hopefully someone here might recognize this.
Basically, I spent a good chunk of time out in the wind a couple of days ago, and that same day I ended up with a cold sore on my lip along with some redness in the white of my eye—just in one spot on one eye, though. It felt a little worse the next day; it started hurting when I touch it and feels sort of scratchy, but there’s zero discharge or tearing, just these red veins showing up. It fluctuates throughout the day, getting better and then flaring up again. I’ve never dealt with anything like this before, which is honestly a bit unnerving, and if this is just something that passes on its own, I really don't have the patience to sit in a doctor's waiting room forever.
Has anyone else dealt with something similar? I’m asking because it seems like every other post mentions watery eyes or even a runny nose, which just isn't happening with me. I do wear contacts for my astigmatism and nearsightedness, but I haven't been wearing my glasses lately.😢It feels way too much like a coincidence that the cold sore popped up the exact same day, so I'm thinking maybe it's tied to some kind of minor bug, even though I don't have any other typical cold symptoms.

It could be an infection, barley fever, or you might have even managed to get a herpes outbreak right in your eye.

Just go see a doctor and let them take a look at it.🙂

Thanks for the reply, honestly, things are looking way better today, both the eye and the spot.
I think I'll hold off on calling the doctor until later today and just see how it goes. ☕
