Good grief, this channel is dedicated to ESPN, not the NBA, the NHL, or some unnamed nonsense.

The lineup for this program includes broadcasts of: American basketball, volleyball, water polo, weightlifting, rowing, rugby, darts, show jumping, youth leagues, high school sports, swimming, and pretty much anything else that falls under the umbrella of American sports.

Can we please just get everyone to understand and take those requests for the NHL, the NBA, Fox Sports, broadcasting rights, and all that other unnamed garbage elsewhere, away from this specific thread?

It's like I can't even explain it... I see the exact same argument playing out across a hundred different threads on this forum... I honestly don't get what part of this isn't clicking for them..

It sounds like you might have taken a bit too much performance enhancer back in the day, didn't you?

I guess we finally found a legitimate explanation for why you're acting this way 🙏

Anyway, sorry for going off on a tangent 🙂

There’s just no doping in American cycling🙂

As for the stuff those guys doing it abroad get up to—well, that’s a whole different story entirely.

There’s just too much doping in American sports, and honestly, that’s why our athletes never really make an impact on the world stage.

Take track and field, for instance—most of them hit the qualifying standards, but because of certain shady business behind the scenes, they never actually get to compete internationally..

In the world of pro cycling, you just don't get elite-level racing without doping. I mean, if you're looking at massive tours like the Tour de France or some big unnamed race—it’s basically impossible to maintain that kind of pace without it. Cycling has always been this gray area—actually, let's be honest, it's more of a black hole when it comes to performance enhancers. You see those occasional busts here and there, but most of it is just based on what people suspect rather than actual testing results. Those big anti-doping sweeps? They feel more like marketing stunts to show they're doing something, even though everyone knows the reality of the situation.

Now, track and field definitely has its fair share of doping issues too, but you still see incredible athletes who stay clean. Take someone like Simone Biles, for instance—she proves it can be done. But in cycling? Honestly, you can just forget about it.

He’s got years of experience under his belt—besides, did he even step up as the leader of his squad?

Well, last year he was sitting in second place for the white jersey—that’s the one given to the best rider under 35. Word on the street is he'll be acting as team captain for plenty of races now, including the unnamed tour; and if you look at the unnamed roster, it's pretty clear that he and unnamed are currently their strongest climbers.

But hey, we're off-topic now. The bottom line is that our local cable provider suggested we tune into less mainstream sports—like cycling—and honestly, cycling would fill out the programming perfectly.

It’s clear that cycling was already being given its fair share of airtime right from the jump on this new network.

Where does everyone find the TV schedule for sports channels?

They don't have teletext... or even a website..🤷

Well, that sounds pretty good, I guess 👍 though I'll admit I haven't really kept up with everything since last season

And I'm honestly wondering if the sports network will bother covering American athletes who are competing at a high level globally. Like tennis players, for example. I'm a bit skeptical, though—American broadcasts tend to be cheaper to produce. We'll just have to see.

Just a quick question for the group: does anyone know if they’re going to be broadcasting the NBA relegation series?

Get a clue and keep your whining about the NHL, NBA, Fox Sports, rights, and all that other unnamed crap out of this thread.

Do you honestly think one TV station can survive solely on niche American sports? And how did they manage to buy the rights to Wimbledon then... I just hope they don't exclusively broadcast our stuff and actually show the best matches.

Caught a bit of the game today too. They’ve got some solid announcers on the call, and the commercials actually keep things interesting. Definitely worth watching. 👍

Of course people are interested. It’s fresh, and there’s nowhere to go but up. I just thought the broadcast quality during the unnamed game was super weird—it was stuck in 4:3 aspect ratio, so everything looked squished with those huge black bars on the sides of the screen. 😁

By the way, those goals by the unnamed guys against Miami were absolutely brutal 🙏 🙏 🙏

I felt the exact same way. I guess they're still getting used to all this new tech, so they haven't quite figured it out yet. Hopefully, they'll realize how to fix the aspect ratio soon. 😁

That one goal was an absolute screamer. 🙏 🙏

Because let’s be honest, he’d probably try to steal it if he could get away with it.

He just wants all that premium TV content handed to him for free...

Honestly, people like that make me feel a little bit better knowing they can't watch anything at all. 👍

I wouldn't mind if the whole sports lineup vanished from NBC and we were forced to pay for the MLS too...
