Red Sonja Remake

So, I thought this movie was totally dead in the water, but word on the street is things might actually get moving again by 2012. Bad news is, they’re looking at doing it without Rose McGowan, but bringing in Amber Heard instead.

She's cute and all, but honestly, I need to see her rocking that Red Sonja red hair. You guys be the judge though—take a look at how our girl Rose used to look:

Between the makeup and the razor-sharp look, Rose McGowan just isn't pulling off this role. Looking at the photo, the other actress seems like a better fit—though she's still not quite perfect. If I were calling the shots, I’d much rather see Kristanna Loken stepping into the role of Red Sonja...

There is really only one woman who truly embodies the essence of Red Sonja!
From the very beginning, she holds an undeniable edge over everyone else in the conversation.
In my estimation, that woman is none other than: Megan Fox!😍

I’d personally go with Paris Hilton.

I mean, I’m cool with Amber so far, but hey—we’ll just have to wait and see how things play out...

Honestly, this is going to blow the original out of the water, because let’s be real—that first version was absolute garbage.

In any given scenario, I suppose Amber would be the superior choice for the role.

I mean, even Arnold himself has gone on record saying it was the worst movie he ever did—he basically wishes he could turn back the clock just so he could avoid taking the role in the first place... 😂

Man, how did I miss that. Kristanna Loken would be perfect for Red Sonja—tall, gorgeous, great build, and she’d probably actually deliver a better performance than her previous stuff. Plus, just tell her to dye her hair. 🙏🤣

Look, Amber is cute and all, but she just doesn't have the curves to pull off playing Red Sonja 🤷

I mean, I guess Amber Heard is actually a pretty solid choice. She plays that girl in Drive Angry, which... honestly, that movie itself is kind of a mess, but she absolutely kills it.

Honestly, I’m kind of leaning towards Monica Bellucci playing her, though I guess that might not be the most realistic choice either... :-)

Maybe it's just me, but I actually thought the original Red Sonja was a solid film. I'll check this one out just to compare. As far as the Red Sonja comic character goes, all five...👍

Ever since they started swapping out actresses, it feels like the directors have absolutely no clue what they’re doing... just a total mess. 😕 It's such a joke—there isn't a single damn thing posted on IMDb either. 🙂 Honestly, I think Rose McGowan would be pretty great as Red Sonja. I mean, remember her in Planet Terror? She killed it in those action scenes... plus, I'd actually love to see her rocking the red hair. Amber Heard is fine and all, but she just doesn't fit this role at all.
Now I'm seeing people posting that Megan Fox would be perfect for it. 🤣
I really hope we get some actual info soon, because at this rate, it wouldn't surprise me if they just scrapped the whole production entirely. ☕

First off, Monica Bellucci would never touch a trashy flick like this with a ten-foot pole. 😁 Second, she’s way too old for a role like this—I mean, sure, the big boobs might be the only thing that fits, but honestly, who cares? That's totally irrelevant for this movie. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for seeing some nice assets, but in this case, it just doesn't matter because, in my book, Red Sonja is the only one for the job.
It's kind of a bummer, really. 😢

Let's breathe some life back into this thread. According to the latest news—if you can call it that—it looks like Avi Lerner is set to produce the remake, with Bryan Singer stepping in as Director.
