Honestly, if you just step outside and look at the world around us, it's pretty obvious how much of that Middle Eastern influence is baked into our culture and our surroundings.

Spawn said:Why on earth would jousting be considered purely Middle Eastern? Ring fighting predates it, and the whole tradition actually stems from medieval knightly tournaments across Europe. Maybe it's because of those certain cultural influences? If that's the case, then America actually has more of an Americanized vibe than a Central European or Mediterranean one. Besides, you can find "Middle Eastern" influences all over the world, even within highly civilized parts of Europe.
