cosmicridge5 said:Your logic is pretty flawed, man. 🙏 If you think "Chase Bank is buying his seat and paying for top driver status" but he still can't even maintain the pace, then he isn't a joke—he’d actually be a legend. 🙏🙏🙏 😁

Though, I guess that’s no reason to be this salty. 🙂

It’s not salt

It's just mockery 🤣

The guy literally said he’d never want to drive for Ferrari, and now he’s sucking up to them more than anyone I've ever seen

Those are just the facts

Gary Palmer8 said:Alright, he finished 4th.

Alonso is honestly a joke—

the Santander sponsorship basically buys him his seat and that "number one driver" status, but the guy can't even hold his line for a single lap.

🤣

And then they probably pay Weber to just block traffic so this guy can mess everything up and slide into 5th place anyway🤣

Just more proof that Alonso is pure class, even without a top-tier car... a brilliant start, but you can only do so much when the machine just isn't there. Hats off to Hamilton, though; he’s fighting tooth and nail to catch a guy driving a rocket ship, but let's be real, that's not his doing...😕

Massive respect to Hamilton for fighting tooth and nail to catch a guy in an impossibly fast car, though that’s hardly his own doing...

Total powerhouse... WOW

Landing fifth place? Honestly, that’s some legendary stuff that only someone like Alonso could pull off!

Chill out, Joshua Doyle11, before I actually say something. 🙏 And you know I’m usually pretty nice, so it would be a shame if I lost my cool now. 🙏 🙏 😁

You make a fair point. 🙏

And honestly, seeing a start that smooth is pretty rare these days. 🙏 🙏 🙏 😍 😁😁

You're not wrong.
If qualifying is the true measure of raw speed, Red Bull was at least a full second faster per lap than Ferrari (comparing their best single lap against what Alonso could squeeze out).
As for Ferrari's performance on hard tires, let's not even go there. It wasn't worth thinking about.

Like Joshua Doyle11 said, only a legend can sit behind someone for 20 laps—keeping them under constant pressure while driving a significantly faster car—and still hold their own.

Anyway, enough joking around. Ferrari's mess is Ferrari's mess, along with their fans. The real issue is this entire system and how these races are run. It's too predictable. Honestly, it's exhausting.

So, can we dive back into more about Alonso?😁

Come on, let me spare you from all those reminders about how incredible Ferrari's run has been.👋🍿

We'll pick things right back up after the Monaco Grand Prix.🍿

I'm already getting ready for it.

Does anyone happen to have the viewership numbers for Formula 1 on ESPN? I was watching the race earlier and noticed a heavy influx of commercials. It makes me wonder if today's ad load is tied to a particularly strong average audience turnout.

Awards and accolades:

Vettel was incredible today. Seriously, even better than expected. He’s proving he isn't just some fast kid anymore. That move to pull away from an aggressive Hamilton? That wasn't luck. It was pure strategy—making the most of exactly what he had on track. He won that one with his head and his hands, not just by stepping on the gas.

Hamilton was absolutely clinical today. Honestly, if the circumstances had been even slightly different, he probably would've walked away with the win. But between his rival, the car setup, and the track itself, everything just seemed to be stacked against him today.

Button did alright. Getting that spot ahead of Webber is a win, I guess, but let’s be real—with the way this McLaren is running, he’s still miles behind the top two.

Alonso gave us twenty laps of pure, unadulterated bliss. A flawless, uncompromising start that actually looked promising for once. Then, reality hit him like a freight train. It was brutal to watch. And honestly? I’m still looking for those people who were all over the news before the season started, whispering about some secret alliance between Pirelli and Ferrari. Where'd they go?

McLaren is doing damn well. Really, really well.
Mercedes—one small win, just to keep things tidy and make sure both cars finish on decent terms. If we’re talking about actually making a dent, they’d need to be at least fifth.
Renault is actually outperforming Mercedes right now. I don’t have much to say about them, though—maybe just that tiny bit of credit they earned with Heidfeld.

So, whose is it anyway? 🍿

Since when have we actually been watching F1? Like, since 2010 or what? 🙄

Since when exactly was Newey at Red Bull? And what kind of team was that Red Bull outfit before Vettel showed up? 🍿

Coming from a die-hard Ferrari fan, that is about as honest and grounded as a review gets.

Especially that part about Alonso being a superstar for half a race before slamming face-first into reality...

Watching Ferrari struggle under the leadership of the pit wall and Domenicali is like watching a slow-motion train wreck—you can't look away.

So where did all that "priceless" hype go?😕

-Vettel is clearly loving life in a machine built by a genius like Newey, and you can't argue with that perfection... though I have to wonder how much of this success is actually due to his own skill...
-I used to really dislike Hamilton because he felt like a silver-spoon kid, but man, the talent he shows every single race is undeniable. He's incredibly aggressive, fiercely competitive, and completely obsessed with winning...
-No sugarcoating here, Alonso is my favorite when it comes to pure driving ability. His talent seems virtually limitless... just a flawless driver with extraordinary traits...
-Webber finally let me down. I truly believed he was more than just a supporting act at Red Bull, but despite what the bosses try to say, he's clearly stuck in second gear. He's just too soft and frankly, too slow...
-Button drove a stellar race today, making the most of that McLaren power to grab some solid points, but compared to a perfect Hamilton, he’s still just playing second fiddle...
-Massa is a disappointment, and he simply doesn't have what it takes to drive for Ferrari...

I certainly have no intention of throwing in the towel regarding the championship title after only five races. Even though the points gap in the standings looks massive right now, anything can happen in this league—I'm absolutely certain of it.

Alright Fernando, Vitally Petrov is standing by if you end up needing a backup!😁

Here’s how the points look after the Grand Prix in Miami-

1. Vettel-118, 2. Hamilton-77, 3. Webber-67, 4. Button-61, 5. Alonso-51.

1. Red Bull-185
2. McLaren-138
3. Ferrari-75
4. Lotus-46
5. Mercedes-40

and so on...
