So, I’ve been dealing with this nagging pain in my left tonsil for maybe two or three days now. It feels like there’s some tiny little thorn stuck in there—every single time I swallow, it’s like a sharp jab. It isn't super intense during the day, but once evening rolls around, it really starts to ramp up. Does anyone have a clue what might be going on? Also, if you know any old-school home remedies or some weird "grandma's cure" to take the edge off, let me know, because this sensation is honestly just gross.

I don't have a fever or anything, and my head isn't throbbing—it’s just this one specific, annoying spot.

I don't know... I've been through this countless times myself. One option is having your tonsils removed, though doctors usually only suggest that if they're severely inflamed. If you aren't dealing with headaches or a fever, then maybe your tonsils are just particularly sensitive.

I’m actually dealing with the exact same thing! Look, if you notice a weird smell... or if that stabbing sensation won't quit... there’s a chance your tonsil might have a little "cranny" or pocket in it, much like mine does, where food particles can get trapped. Honestly, your best bet is probably to just head to an ENT specialist if it doesn't clear up on its own soon.😉
