Look, when I handed out a ban and someone filed a complaint, I showed up to answer for it. Just because some mods don't bother doing that doesn't mean everyone is like that, I guess. 🙂

Whatever, just more blah blah blah bullshit...

So you gave me a warning because I started a thread that you thought belonged somewhere else—which is just your take, I guess, and might not even be right. Then some guy jumps in to call me an idiot, and I ended up calling him out on his ego. Honestly, if we were in real life, someone like Elon Musk would've kicked him out of the building already. But then you hit me with another warning too... which, fine, fair enough, I can't really complain about that part.

If you actually had any clue how to moderate, you'd be penalizing the guy starting the fire instead of the one throwing gas on it. I guess.

I guess you're just some big-shot moderator. You just drop all this deep philosophy and nonsense just to stroke your own ego and act like you're so perfect, but honestly, it’s all just empty talk.

Honestly, the easiest thing to do is just kill the thread, delete it, and toss the OP 30 points for breaking subforum rules. And I guess the more you do that, the worse of a mod you are.

Once you actually get that last sentence, maybe you could finally step up and act like a real moderator. But I guess for you, any user who just writes a few lines in an intro is basically a criminal that needs to be slapped with a ban. You’re just another one of those washed-up figures here, probably struggling with some self-perception issues and trying to make up for it by throwing power around where it isn't even needed.

My buddy says the easiest way to rat someone out is just to go to the store and buy them a loaf of bread. I guess. Maybe.

Yeah, so I actually went ahead and asked for a permanent ban, but nobody even bothered to reply to that thread. Not one person. Nobody even asked why, either. Honestly, someone could've at least jumped in and called me an idiot for complaining, but nothing. Guess I'm just talking to myself.
Nothing to see here... just nothing.

Whenever someone actually has a legitimate grievance, I guess all the mods just gang up to protect their own. Maybe they're just looking out for their buddies or whatever.
It’s a clear example, like when we all got screwed by those late fines back in the day.
You want links for that? I guess. Maybe.

I guess Late is still moderating LJES, which is honestly such a joke. It's embarrassing that the mods and admins just left her there after everything, and honestly, the owner should take some responsibility for how this place is run, even if he isn't around much.

Maybe there just aren't any decent mods left, I guess. Like, maybe all the good ones who actually knew how to handle things are burnt out, so now they're just pushing whatever works just to keep this place from turning into a total dumpster fire.
A mod who only knows how to delete a post where someone’s being a total jerk to a parent and hand out a ban, but doesn't have a clue about anything else they should actually be doing? That's like, maybe 10% of a real moderator. Just some amateur digging through channels without any idea where things are headed or how the whole system even works.

Look, just my two cents... stop selling everyone a pipe dream. Either shut up and do your job like you always have, or actually change how you handle things and then show us the results. Maybe talk about what you've changed and let the community see if it actually works.

Hey.

And there you have it—a perfect example of making snap judgments without a shred of logic...🙄

Laura Evans3 said:Yeah... you just show up, derail the conversation with off-topic nonsense, and act like a complete clown.🙂

Would you be so kind as to provide me with a direct link showing exactly where I am supposedly messing with people or being disrespectful toward them?
I could easily send you a direct link showing exactly where they are insulting me, yet you choose not to take any disciplinary action against them.
The real question I’m grappling with here is whether telling someone they need to go get treated is actually grounds for a formal complaint, or if that's just overreacting.
I just thought I’d share, simply to get things moving, so that I might also begin opening up about my own diagnoses.
I see that if you’ve been granted that kind of leeway, I don't see why the same shouldn't apply to me.

It seems that through my own contributions to this thread, you’ve completely lost your composure.

Back in fifth grade, during our English Language Arts classes, we used to carry around this specific little workbook titled "Reading Comprehension."
Since it seems like we aren't quite on the same page regarding what I’m actually getting at here, let me rephrase the core of my point: my question is, where exactly did I go wrong?🤣

If you find pink tube tops and those other flashy types so incredibly grating, I honestly have to wonder why you bother showing up to this thread at all. If your goal is just to ask what a fleet rate is, there are much better places to seek out that kind of information.

The subject matter at hand is simply too heavy for this discussion to continue when the lead advisor doesn't even grasp fundamental terminology. It’s hard to take the argument seriously when they aren't familiar with the concept of a flat rate, or when they mistakenly refer to "firmer" instead of the actual term, firmware. Beyond that, there is a complete misunderstanding of how mobile networks function; we aren't dealing with some kind of sinister, hidden transmitters in the context of GSM or UMTS technology, but rather standard, everyday cellular base stations.
And when I politely ask him to actually explain what the hell a firm is, you dismiss it as me being off-topic, only to turn around and scatter all this information everywhere anyway.
And just so we're clear, who exactly between the two of us is being disrespectful here? The question keeps pressing itself upon me, almost as if it’s looking for an answer I'm not quite ready to give.

You didn't actually send anyone a private message regarding this issue. Instead, you aired your grievances in that specific thread dedicated to card appeals, where those posts are still live and visible for everyone to see. Even the MEP responded to you right there in that discussion. So, I have to wonder, why are you getting worked up all over again?
He completely agreed with the assessment I provided, and he hasn't made a single correction to it... or if you’re still insisting that I'm wrong, then please, go ahead and send me links to the specific posts within the Homebox thread that I supposedly flagged incorrectly. As for who is actually responsible for this mess, the MEP is clearly behind it...

There is simply no way for you to know, nor could you possibly grasp, who exactly I am corresponding with via PM.
I honestly feel a profound sense of regret that the MEP decided to step back from tackling those specific issues, along with several others, only to hand the entire situation over to someone who is frankly quite immature and uninformed—not to mention incredibly rude and arrogant.

I’ll be more than happy to take action once you can actually demonstrate how you managed to report a user who hasn't posted on the Homebox thread since long before your old handle was even active. It feels somewhat misplaced for you to come after me like this and then immediately turn around and demand something in return.

And who exactly am I supposed to report this to—you?
Honestly, how am I supposed to provide any proof that I actually clicked that little button?
What are you even talking about?

You seem to pop up every single time some newbie says something silly... but you're never around when someone regular is actually trying to have a conversation...

And has anyone actually said anything sensible here in the last year?
Has anyone offered a single piece of useful advice on how to handle that contract issue?
You know how people ask questions, right?
They send a PM, and they always get the same response: "Go ask the self-proclaimed experts in this thread," or they get met by a moderator who is clearly just protecting their own precious little community...

Another classic ad hominem attack. Though I'm sure you'll dodge it just like you did in your last post... quoting everything except the actual point... no links, no references, nothing.

And there it is again—the sheer audacity. How on earth am I supposed to access my old PMs when those accounts were wiped clean during the last update?🤷

No, that isn't your right... 😉 I mean, does it really make sense to drag up stuff from an old account and hide behind a new identity?

It is absolutely my right to do whatever I want with my old account, and it is my right to tell you to stop posting about it here.
We are stepping into my private business now, and you have a responsibility to respect that privacy.
But then again, I shouldn't expect you to understand that...

Who exactly are you to decide what I can and cannot do here? By the way, I didn't tell her what she could or couldn't do either... I simply explained that she doesn't need one specific thread labeled "where to report a moderator," and that she's free to start a new one if her issue doesn't fit the current topics...
You're busy nitpicking my every move, yet here you are, quoting my response to another user just to tear it apart... 🙏

The truth is, a handful of you moderators don't realize that when the conversation isn't specifically about you, we're just regular users.
It’s the same pattern on every single forum discussion where you step in as a mod.
There’s a whole group of us on this site who will say what needs to be said, whether it's allowed or not.
You few enforcers always try to intimidate people with those dark usernames, acting like you hold all the cards with that "I'm allowed to do this" attitude.

At this point, this has devolved into pure personal animosity and petty bickering.
To be perfectly honest, I can't stand you. You're the kind of person I wouldn't even tolerate in my real life; I wouldn't even give you the time of day if we crossed paths on a street in Chicago.
That’s exactly why I walked away from the section where you moderate. As long as you're in charge there, there is zero chance I will ever show my face.
But I had to say this to you. Given your comments, I honestly think you should seek help, or at the very least, receive a formal warning from the head admin, because that's usually what happens for behavior like this on this forum!
That's my final word on the matter.

I suppose a thread should stay open as long as people are posting. If there's an identical one, maybe merge them. But just closing it seems off. If it were truly useless, people probably wouldn't be posting in it anyway.

I'm honestly not sure why you're trying to defend her position...
this isn't really her call to make; those decisions rest solely with the moderators running this forum.
It's almost funny seeing her act surprised when she ends up getting labeled as a "thread closer."🤣

Just another case of making things up as we go...🙄

Fine, so Tyndall deleted the post and gave her a strike. But do you, acting as a moderator, honestly think that’s right? From what I can tell, you were the one who insulted her first, and she was just responding.
And Tyndall told her the post was removed because it was unnecessary.😲 I guess we should ask which ones are considered necessary then. 🤣🤣🤣 This is ridiculous.

that isn't even her call to make; the mods of this site handle those things.
Then she acts surprised when she gets labeled a cover-up artist.🤣

I guess I just don't know anymore. She’s always around, so I thought...😂
Besides, where are the actual admins? They don't do anything except hand out bans and shut down threads that bruise their egos.
Maybe we should all just get banned so they can be left alone on this forum, just patting each other on the back...🙄 It's almost like that's their only goal.🙄🙄🙄

I got a warning for breaking subforum rules because I started a thread that you decided belonged elsewhere—which is just your opinion, I guess, and might not even be right. Then some guy jumps in, calls me an idiot, and I end up calling him out on his arrogance. In real life, someone like Kerum would have kicked him out of the room immediately. But then you hit me with another warning, which was totally deserved, I suppose. No complaints there.

If you actually had any sense as a moderator, you'd punish the one fueling the fire instead of the one trying to put it out with gasoline.

Now you’re the saintly moderator. Just dropping philosophy and nonsense to stroke your own ego so you can feel wonderful, while in reality, none of it matters.

It’s easy to just close a thread, delete it, and slap the OP with 30 points for rule violations.

Maybe there aren't any quality mods left. Maybe the good ones were worn down, and now we just have whoever is left holding the bag, just trying to keep the forum from becoming total garbage.
A mod who knows how to delete a post where someone is being abusive and hand out a warning, but lacks the common sense for everything else a moderator should handle, is barely 10% of a real moderator.

Regards

Yeah, this happens all the time. Almost always. It happened to me, too. Someone insults you for pages, lies, puts words in your mouth that you never said, twists things around, tells you to do exactly what they're doing, etc. And then you finally respond, and you're the one who gets the warning.
Meanwhile, the jerk keeps rambling on in that condescending tone and stays in the mix.🙄🤮
It was the same for me. Imagine, I told her she was a psychopath.😲 I didn't exactly say, "Shut your damn mouth!" 🙄
Though, honestly, maybe that wouldn't have been too much...

And Tyndall told her the post was removed because it was unnecessary.😲 Well, what exactly qualifies as "necessary" here? 🤣🤣🤣 Seriously, what is this?!

It's just a game of broken telephone at this point!

If you didn't actually see—or rather, read—her post (which was absolutely loaded with personal attacks against me and my moderation style)before mine, meaning an unprovoked attack on me or any other member of this forum, then I sent her one single response to hers...in which case, please, stop spreading inaccuracies.
Tyndall wiped out her initial post along with my brief reply, yet she just kept going...
And if this explanation still isn't enough for you, you'll have to take it up with Tyndall directly, because this whole situation is completely nonsensical.👋

Check the appeals section. It says something else entirely. Besides, if you're claiming she insulted you, why didn't Tyndall say he issued the penalty because of the insults? He didn't mention anything about that. He said it was because her comment was simply unnecessary.😕
A bit strange, I suppose.

He didn't say a word about her being offensive. He explicitly stated it was because her comment was—quite frankly—unnecessary.😕
A bit strange, don't you think?

Not at all!
Look, this is the last time I’m going to attempt to explain this to you. My very first post on this thread—post #27.
Go ahead, read it.
Do you see any attack on a forum member, a moderator, or anyone specifically? No.
Before the deletion, there was post #29—her post—where, without any actual provocation other than a blatant desire to drag out a conflict that I had moved past months ago, she wrote this long-winded response filled with exactly what I described. Tyndall deleted her first post along with my reply, which should be a dead giveaway to anyone that you need to stop before you face a penalty.
But no, she keeps going, and that second unnecessary post of hers got flagged because it's pure trolling—just trying to prolong the fight. Believe me, if I had kept it up, I would have been hit too, since even moderators can get a card from the site owners or admins.

Once posts are deleted, the next posts from other users take over the numerical sequence of the removed ones; those deleted messages are only visible to the mods of this PDF and the admins.
Because on her penalized post, only my reply remains—which she had replied to—it creates this false illusion that I was the one who attacked her first...

I honestly think we've reached the limit here. If you still refuse to grasp this, there's nothing more I can do for you...🙂

Look, this is the last time I'm even attempting to explain myself. This is my first post on this thread. Post number 27.
Give it a read.
Do you see any attacks on any forum members, mods, or anyone specifically?
Before it was deleted, there was post 29. It was her post—basically just looking to reignite a conflict that I settled over a month ago. She wrote this long, unnecessary response just to keep things going. Tyndall ended up deleting it. First. Here is my post and my response. I suppose it’s pretty obvious to everyone what that means. It needs to stop. I guess.Because a penalty is probably coming.
No, she keeps going, and that redundant second post was flagged because it's just trolling—basically dragging out the conflict. I guess if I were the one who kept it up, I’d get hit with a warning too. Even mods can face a žalba na karton from the admins.

Once a post is deleted, I guess the next posts from other users will just shift up to fill those numbered slots. The deleted ones should stay visible only to the mods and admins of this PDF, maybe. Otherwise, they won't be seen by anyone else.
Since her penalized post only shows my reply, which she then quoted, it creates this false impression that I was the one who attacked her first. I guess it just looks that way.

I think we've reached a point where there isn't much left to say. If you still don't get it by now, I guess I can't really help you anymore.🙂

I suppose I can wrap my head around it. No worries.
Look, this whole issue that’s got you so worked up... I guess we deal with stuff like this from you mods and supermods on a daily basis.
You didn't strike first; she did. I guess when it comes to everyone else, you all just don't seem to care. It’s been stated here several times already that... Maybe the mods should start handing out penalties. I guess. The one fueling the fire, I suppose., And what about the one who’s pulling the plug? You aren't actually doing it. I guess.👎
Maybe you're annoyed that I missed a post earlier and assumed you were at fault. I guess.
How would you feel if I’d just skimmed through a few pages of insults, decided you were the problem, and then hit you with a formal warning based on a total misunderstanding? Maybe you'd find that unfair. I guess.
Then when you file a žalba na karton over some broken PDF, everyone just plays dumb. They act like you’re losing it or being dramatic. Then you end up getting a card anyway just for speaking up. I guess it's hard to know how anyone would feel about that.
Maybe I'm exaggerating. Or maybe I'm not. You see for yourself, I guess.
