Personally, I’ve always been a fan of a lifted silhouette—those push-up bras that actually do their job. I can't quite picture how some of this looks, though. 🙄

It looks like it’s been pulled forward and upward. Since it was already looking a bit awkward before, the whole thing just seems off and out of proportion now. I’m really hoping they settle it back down. 😢 Does anyone know if things like compresses or anything else actually help?

Oh man, I wish I could give you some real advice here, but I’m totally out of the loop on this specific situation. In any case, compresses probably won't change much, though you can always try—nothing to lose, I suppose.🙂

I'm feeling pretty under the weather right now, and honestly, I didn't get a wink of sleep last night because of my nose... (just one nostril being completely blocked)... it was getting so irritating that I kept reaching for the nasal drops over and over. It makes me wonder how on earth I'm going to manage once the surgery is done... though, I suppose I am some kind of 🙄

Ugh, tell me about it. A few days ago, I was waking up multiple times a night—and I mean totally unable to swallow because my mouth was so bone-dry—just to get some water, clear my nose with drops, this, that... plus I had a fever and a cold on top of it. I did it constantly because honestly, the relief afterward was priceless. 🤣

Honestly, though, pushing through it was worth it because that feeling afterward is just priceless. 🤣

Is that happening after surgery? Because I've dealt with terrible sinus issues since I was a kid... it’s honestly awful. Not to mention the constant ringing and buzzing in my ears... probably all linked to the sinus stuff, I guess...

Yeah, it's post-op. It actually confused me because most people seem to find the first few days a total piece of cake, but I couldn't really tell which congestion was from the procedure and which was just a common cold, so I can't give an objective take...🤷 As for breathing through your mouth, it's not quite as exhausting as you'd think. You'll likely get some drops, and honestly, those nasal sprays work wonders.

Who are you again? Sorry, my brain is basically mush today ://
Would you mind repeating that?

Has anyone actually been to see Glumicic? I’m looking into their anesthesia services, specifically because I heard they offer general anesthesia, but it doesn't seem to be the "real" kind, so now I'm left feeling quite confused about the whole situation.

Thank you.

It’s probably more like sedation... basically, you're asleep, but you can still talk to the doctor if needed.
You should check his website to see which specific types of anesthesia they use; I'm sure it's listed somewhere...
Anyway, the final call is usually made with the anesthesiologist based on your medical history. So, even if he says he does general anesthesia, if your body isn't up for it, they'll likely opt for heavy sedation instead... (which I've heard can be pretty unpleasant, but don't quote me on that—everyone reacts differently...)

It’s a shame nobody was actually there at Dr. Dzepina’s ENT clinic; I’m genuinely curious about his actual "process"...
Reading through this forum, picking a specific doctor feels like trying to balance on a seesaw... you've got the satisfied patients on one side and the disgruntled ones on the other... honestly, I'm terrified I might end up being part of the latter group...🤷
The whole thing is such a massive gamble. If I just needed to fix a minor bump, sure, where else would I go? But my nose needs a ton of work—the doctor himself said so—plus there's the issue of functionality...

It's true, there will always be conflicting opinions floating around, and since we're talking about such a sensitive subject, it’s incredibly tough to figure out who you can actually trust. A friend of mine had surgery performed by Ivo Dzepina a while back, and honestly, he was pretty satisfied with the results.

He ended up losing part of his nose during some drunken brawl, but now that it's been fixed up, it actually looks better than it did before.🙂

I’m honestly so glad he’s happy with it. There’s nothing quite like that feeling of finally being satisfied after dealing with so much frustration and a lack of confidence over something that, honestly, can be easily fixed these days...
I realize perfection doesn't exist—and I'm certainly not looking for that—but I would just love to have a normal nose, and that’s really it... Does your friend happen to have a photo of his nose he could share with us? I’m genuinely curious...

Kate Taylor59 said:It’s likely a locally enhanced approach... meaning you'll be asleep, but still capable of communicating with the doctor...
You really ought to check his website to see exactly what types of anesthesia they utilize; I am certain it is listed there...
Otherwise, the specific method is coordinated with the anesthesiologist based on your medical records... so, while he might state he performs general anesthesia, if your body isn't up for a full general procedure, they will most likely opt for a locally enhanced one... (which I have heard is absolutely dreadful, though please don't take my word for it, as everyone reacts differently...)

I asked him directly if it was locally enhanced, and he insisted it wasn't... so the whole thing remains completely unclear to me.
I suppose that means it must be general anesthesia then.🤷

So, I had my consultation with Dr. Bastajić about a week ago. I was actually planning on seeing Glusac too, but my schedule just didn't allow it, so I had to cancel. As for Bastajić? Honestly, I can't say if he's "the one" yet. The whole thing was pretty rushed, and regarding the actual info, everything he told me is stuff I’ve already read right here on this forum. We were on the same page about the nose, though; I told him straight up I want a natural look, and he agreed immediately—his plan sounded fine to me. But then, after barely glancing at my nose, he surprised me by saying I have a slight septal deviation on the right side that could be fixed right then and there. I’ve never had any breathing issues, so I really only care about the aesthetics. Because of that, I decided to go see a regular ENT to see if there's even a medical reason to touch it. I didn't bother asking if the price changes if we only do the cosmetic part. Total would be around $2,200. One huge red flag for me, though, was when he suggested during that quick chat that we could just fill my upper lip with Aquamid to make it look better since it's so thin. That would be another $500 on top of everything. And when I asked him what exactly that was? He basically just said, "You can look it up on the internet!!!" Like, seriously? Now I'm just left feeling super confused. I'm bummed I missed out on seeing Glusac because then I could've done a direct comparison. Overall, I've decided I'm not doing the surgery this summer. I'm terrified of the swelling; my legs and arms swell up like crazy in the heat, so I know my nose would be the same way. I'll be heading to Miami in July, so I'll just coordinate a time to see Glusac then!!!
