It isn't even about whether people like the opening post of the former Aşk-ı Memnu Vol.2 or not, it's really more about the fact that... The theme of Aşk-ı Memnu is forbidden... In other words, it doesn't even exist... No one is allowed to open it......

Look, let’s be real, we weren't exactly thrilled because the opening post was just some personal rant instead of a useful list of links, which is what we actually need—especially if we're moving over to the new Ask me Memnu 2

But honestly, that shouldn't even be a valid excuse to lock the whole thread down!!
There isn't just one single moderator running this show, so if one person isn't in the mood to clean things up right now, there are plenty of other mods who could easily step in and handle it!!

I'm pretty sure we'll get this sorted out eventually, because at the end of the day, this series and all of us deserve better than this!

Well, I suppose it’s time I added my voice to the chorus of pleas here. Honestly, if there is any way at all, please bring the tema back to life. I truly don't believe we deserve to have both of them—including the one over in the Unshown sub-forum—locked down like this. It feels fundamentally unfair when you consider that over in the soap factory section, there are countless other threads about finished series and telenovelas that remain wide open, even though they have significantly fewer posts than our locked thread, which was actually being read and engaged with. If we crossed a line anywhere, it was purely out of the heat of the moment during the debate, just as Sarah Wilson95 pointed out; it was never a calculated move. Personally, and I am certain the ladies feel the same, there was absolutely no intention to offend anyone, especially since we were already being targeted ourselves—just look at that situation from yesterday. I also want to echo what lonemoose6 said: up until that point, there was no malice intended whatsoever.

And where is the response? Or does nobody actually step up on this forum? ☕ — I’m referring to the moderators' responsibility to address complaints, regardless of how many people are making them; that's the whole point of running a forum. Sure, an insult or a spoiler might slip through occasionally, but is there any thread that is completely immune to that?

I'm struggling to see where this supposed disrespect or chaos and mess come from. You can't just have one person throw out an accusation like that without providing some actual evidence to back it up, right? And as for how she moderated the thread? Honestly, it didn't happen. She barely showed up, and even then, it was only after Ezel flagged things. She handed out a bunch of warnings—though strictly within our thread—then popped back in a few days later because she knew the bans had expired. One of those warnings was about the same level as that video we watched yesterday (the one parodying Behlul). That wasn't what moderation looks like. If it's true that the thread turned into a complete disaster, then that falls squarely on her shoulders🤷😁
But despite all that alleged spam and off-topic chatter, the thread proved its worth through its engagement levels; the only way I could validate ambermason16's insinuations would be if they actually deleted it, like 🙂

When a few of us actually made some money off the orient passion tema, it was pretty obvious you didn't know the first thing about this show. Well, here I am popping back up again, mostly because my inbox is absolutely drowning in pity parties from everyone on this forum wondering why on earth they’d ban the Ask me Memnu thread.

It’s a straight-up insult to all of us.

We were such a tight-knit group, riding the wave of an incredible series, and honestly, life on this forum was smooth sailing; we took our fair share of penalties, shrugged them off, and moved on, but this feels less like moderation and more like some power trip for the sake of pure ego.

I’m just bitter about the whole thing.
I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d see something like this actually happen here.

lonemoose6, yeah—look, I actually reached out to Ben Marshall to ask if he could tweak the layout for Ask me Memnu 2 a little bit, you know, making the opening post act as a hub with links to the reading material for Vol.1 and Unshown; I even handed him a full list of track links, download spots, lyrics, and direct links to every single episode on DailyMotion... basically everything people constantly nag us for.

I don't have a problem with whoever posted first—honestly, good for her—but the post is way too personal and drags on forever without providing any actual context for the tema, which is exactly what we were debating when we got told the thread would be shut down anyway because it hit the 10,000-post limit.

Some person probably flagged that initial post as being "inappropriate" for the start of Vol.2, and apparently, someone high up got their feathers ruffled seeing that many reports piled up over just three pages, which shouldn't even be a valid reason to lock a thread in the first place.
And now, suddenly, we're all branded as troublemakers.
For what??
