I left once before and eventually made my way back. It was after a long, exhausting battle with the admins at the time just to get this place even running—and honestly, I couldn't stand being spammed by some religious zealot with emails about "the one true path" and constant calls for this supposed "dialogue." Back then, posts were constantly getting deleted or vanishing into thin air; things were chaotic, much like they are now. I know how it feels.
To be fair, when I walked away last time, I wasn't nearly as polite as you were, so I didn't bother saying goodbye.
